Slows in PvP

So i'm bored...and i was wondering. It was said on test by the "curious observer" that the devs were not happy the way that slows were working in pvp. What do you guys think that could be done, to make slows viable again in the new system. This includes Ice blast...cause lord know that it needs some kind of buff lol. I really don't know what they could do to make them viable again. Supression does not go well with slows. Offensive toggles > Slows as it stands right now. O yea please Devs for the love of god give us better slow IO sets....because the ones we have right now are garbage. LOL @ Pace of the Turtle

With all this suppression, I don't think we need any more slows, to be honest. We're slowed enough as it is from simply using ANY power we have, lol.

Yea but that's not fair to all the slow depending powers. i.e TA, Dark, Cold, Ice Blast.

Offensive debuff toggles are more effective at slowing something than actual slow powers, sadly. They could add -max run speed back into some slows but it'd be insult on top of injury.

That's what i was thinking...i'm curious to see how they are going to address this issue. Don't forget spines would benefit from this too. I mean a good bit of powers benefit from slows.

I'd be glad if they buffed slows in pvp, I'd start working on my ice/cold again.

Slows don't need a buff. A new better IO set and has both damage and slows would be nice for certain blast sets and slows in general need a PvP IO set. aside from that, they could nerf SS if you guys really want that.

Nerfing SS would be the final nail in the coffin for the pvp community (whats left of it). They most certainly won't do that. I think they realize they fed up with i13 pvp changes..thus why they have gave us a million check boxes for arena, and pvp io sets. Slows most certainly do need a buff, they are laughable right now. To many sets are gimp as the result of them gutting slows. They need to figured out a way to fix it, i just don't know how they would without removing suppression...which they won't do. They do have have dmg/slow sets...and they suck . If they did do a slow pvp io set...you think the TP res io is expensive...the whole set would probaly cost 3 bill. Every pver in this game would try to get that set just because the slow sets are so bad. It would be the only viable one. But them just leaving slows as is, is probaly not going to happen. That "dev" on test already said they did not like how slows were performing in pvp. So i'm pretty a change is coming...who knows what it will entail. But i'm 99% sure nerfing SS is not going to happen. Also..if they did fix slows...it would make Kin's viable again..in arena and in zone.

i agree that -movement needs a buff when people are jumping away but the -recharge as is, is fine IMO. My blaster and troller still end up not being able to have an attack chain when facing a /cold, ice/rad, or ice/storms.

If -movment were viable i would be using a grav/storm are a disruption toon instead of grav/FF.

PvP io set wouldnt do anythin to how slows work, and kins viable again? lol, the only reason kins were viable in the first place in arena was for unsuppressed movement, no movement suppression takes care of that in arena, in zones what are u gonna do on a kin even with slows back to normal siphon speed people lol, kins were always lolsy at best. on the other subject, slows need a buff, but them buffing slows as a whole would help balance arena more but just make zone pvp more dreaful then it is right now, its barely fun as it is to try to get away from movement suppression add pre -13 slows u got wow pvp

-Rech is largely unchanged since I12, the only major difference being it's subject to DR (but enough stacked can still hurt). -Speed got really screwed over and it's pretty much worthless now.

People jump off caltrops. That's just wrong.

ummm no good sir they do not...they are able to jump because they get out of the radius of it. Caltrops are OP in PvP. True story. I can't AS in caltrops..and it makes me a sad stalker.
