i think the map is just inefficiently coded, we had the same issues in the ITF in the lag valley until after 4-5 issues of code optimizations that it is finally pretty much lag free for the most part
-
ive not run the heroside version of any of the sig story arcs lol
IMO i liked all the redside ones, although it was still disapointing that the player was not the one to actually kill statesman
as for SSA2.1 i enjoyed it, it really made some good points about villainy and the fact that even super strong beings cannot control things by themselves but need loyal followers (such as arachnos) -
Quote:how i use my psi poison corr is i run up and pop the 2 ranged debuffs then fire off some attacks, if i had venemous gas i would run into melee and spam psi tornadoSo assuming one WAS going to take /poison on a corruptor, what's the strategy with it? Stay at range and use those debuffs, going in with poison trap against harder targets? Or mainly focusing on the melee debuffs once you get them, using the ranged debuffs to add additional effects as you can? And particular IOs that can really help the set perform better?
with fire i would prolly still use the normal attack chain, fire blast fire ball blaze with a rain of fire thrown in there
the poison poison trap is still pretty useless and is the redheaded stepchild of the traps poison trap, all it does is -100% recovery and a very rare chance to hold and it does some minor dmg i believe -
oh darn, prolly missed that since i made the post at almost 2 am lol

Quote:this is kind of how i see trials lol, more like a bunch of cat herding with little in terms of strategyThe huge group sizes for trials is one of the things that puts me off of them. It becomes so chaotic that I can't really tell what's going on. I just keep an eye on the chat to get a vague idea of what I should be doing, click powers and hope for the best.
to OP, on victory i would say prime time is 5 pm to 11 pm EST mon-thursday, friday the prime time is usually extended by 1-2 hours and on weekends its essentially all day until about midnight
personally i dont like the trials, the rewards are awful because its still a random drop, the random component on the incarnate level story arcs is perfect since you can solo, but when you are relying on 12-24 poeple to work together to complete a task, getting a common from the random table feels like an insult, and to add insult to injury if you happen to get DC'd for any reason the system heavily penalizes you, you could be in the trial for 90% of the time, dc on the AV fight get back in and then you get the threads table for lack of participation
that alone is much why i prefer the incarnate story arcs over trials, the 2 biggest reasons is A) i dont have to rely on other poeple and B) the reward feels more worth it and it doesnt penalize you for how fast/slow you are or if you disconnect
not to say though i do have friends who do run trials constantly (mostly BAFs and LAMs) -
as the title states if anyone was unaware, the "house hunter" explore badge in night ward will grant the midnight squad badge
this badge will basically be awarded as soon as you enter the night ward midnight mansion if you go through the door
very handy for a quick midnighter badge -
Quote:HOs go for between 1 mil and 100 mil depending on the HOI guess how far into premium do you need to go for the auction house? Guess I have to look up what the investment required would be to get a permanent auction license. When you are saying cheaper do you mean, closer to 1M, 10M, 100M, 1B? I guess cheap is relative when you are new.
Attending taskforces is how I was planning on getting some. I just use single origin IO's right now accross the board, and I'm not 50 at this point (and even have xp off much of the time) so I was just planning ahead.
and for permanent auction house access you need reward tier 4 or higher -
clearly the most obvious thing to do is add more tfs to both sides, but moreso to redside to fill holes where heros have tfs
-
the message clearly states what happens with it, personally i dont see anything wrong with it activating straight from the menu, its really annoying to go digging through my temp powers list to find it when i want to use it so this solves the problem
-
i think synapse stated awhile ago that he fixed IOs like this so that they will not buff the baddies (ie heal them or give them end, ect)
so in the case of slotting the perf shifter in conductive aura, then the bonus would only affect you when baddies are in range -
the main issues with poison is the debuffs arent very strong compared to others and they do not stack
the poison trap is better than it used to be but its still pretty worthless
if you dont team theres at least 3 more powers taking up space
so that leaves you with a single target hold, and a fairly decent end hogging debuff toggle that requires you to be in melee range -
i have a psi/poison corr atm, although i am prolly gonna delete it, i have to agree that poison is not very good on a corr, on a troller it has better synergy with more of the sets

Quote:technically the yearly badges would be 8 more irritants to the problem lol, but i do agree that something needs to be done about itDo I understand correctly, that some few lucky folks have actually had their eight year badge award? If so, that's really an untenable situation that deserves attention one way or another. Several suggestions have already been made on this thread, but ignoring the problem shouldn't be one of them. Bug Hunter and Passport are already significant badge irritants, I'd prefer a third not get added to that list.

Quote:normally that is the case, but once tyrant hits 40% hp then as you start killing him more, his regen goes up, at around 15-20% hp its pretty astronimical, when i get my bane spider up more ill get some more exact numbersA fair question about the reason behind longbow cataphract lores.
My understanding - (which is by no means always correct or unlimited) is that Tyrant has 80% regen debuff resistance. After the math, two -500% regen debuffs is supposedly all that's needed to floor his regen *as much as we can floor it*.
he also should have 87% regen resist at lvl 54 -
Quote:totally agree^Speak for yourself. I worke my furry little heiny to get those badges just to have them yanked away!
And yes, I'm still bitter mad about it!
Quote:Believe me, when I looked at some of the badge requirements it was truly an epic facepalm moment upon seeing them. I had hoped for the requirements to be adjusted not the badges yanked as some of the badge titles were pretty nice.....but seriously 10,000 kills in Test mode? -
Quote:the robotic drones do only max of -50% regen per attack, longbow is the only lore pet that does -500% on the attack even if its only a chance it can still easily stack up to -2000% regen because the debuff lasts for 30 sec and the attack is ~4 secOut of curiosity, why all longbow? I get that plasma blast from the mech is massive but it's 30% chance, wouldn't robotic drones that have guaranteed regen debuff and with enough of them probably have a better effect? Althogh a 30% chance for -500% regen every 4 seconds is still decent odds with that many Longbow.
Now what I really don't understand is everyone equipping diamagnetic. To my understanding an interface debuff can only stack a total of 4 times total. One person could readily keep 4 stacks on Tyrant. Honestly you'd want as broad of a spectrum of interfaces to have a broad spectrum of debuffs placed on him. Reactive for -res so you're hitting harder and fire dot, diamagnetic for -regen, degenerative to lower his HP cap which also lowers his regen and adds on some toxic dot.
i wouldnt use diamagnetic anyway even at a 4 stack vs an AV it would do less than -25% regen which even 1 use of twilight grasp or transfusion could beat
degenerative or reactive would prolly be better to go, degenrative does -max hp as well as additional DoT and reactive does -resist and more DoT
you are right though that more than maybe 4-5 people should not have the same interface due to stacking cap -
i still think the funniest thing i learned from doing this is traps poison trap causing tyrant to vomit and interrupting his lightning attack lol
-
MP is the best ever lol
now only missing the triple threat badge... lol -
this is becoming increasingly difficult to try with the game constantly crashing when starting the trial lol
-
darrin wade is still in the game because hes only a lvl 20 contact and game progress wise thats before the whole rulu wade thing happened so no reason he should change
statesman and sister p are still technically in game, but only in the tutorial because again those events happened before the events of the sig arc game progress wise
miss liberty actually very rarely shows up in the game anyway, i think the most ive ever seen her outside of the sig arcs is in ouro flashbacks, and those are technically us looking back into history, so they definitely are not changing
as for other points, base work has been requested and as already pointed out its very difficult to work new things in without breaking the system, sidekicks and nemesis system are meh can do without, and i wouldnt doubt that we would see something like it in the sig arcs eventually anyway -
i think war witch is the only NPC that is supposed to appear in 2 places at once lol (PD and croatoa)

ill be there on my main, being a mm i kind of fall under a few categories
pets do my dmg, and dark miasma has both buffs/heals and debuffs -
in the 5 or so trials that ive completed ive gotten 2 VR, 1 R, and 1 uncommon so i havent really noticed any discrepancy in the reward table
