  1. she only gives the arc at lvl 14-19, but you can run in as an ouroboros flashback in the 46-50 section.

once you pass 20 she gives you the midnighter intro arc and then stops gving you mishs, so the easiest way to get the badge arc is to just do the flashback (the arc is like 5 talks and 1 mish so its terribly short and really annoying to do at lower lvls unless you have a travel power early)
  2. this is a possibility, because theres the poeple who start out as preatorian and prolly dont want to make a hero or a villain (AT wise).

it would be nice if they actually released more GR info to try to figure some of this stuff out.
  3. ive noticed this too, it is a little annoying, but its such a small bug that it will prolly just be fixed when they get around to it and lumped together with some other stuff for one of their fix patches (which i havent even seen one of those around in quite a while either)
  4. defenders have such low base dmg i would say kin is the only primary that has a chance of being a good farm build, archery is a good attack set because rain of arrows has no target cap so if you ca take the dmg from a large mob through FS and rain of arrows animation, you can nearly 1 shot the entire mob

the timer is 5 min, and lvl does not matter since PVP zones are always set lvls, in arena, i dont think it matters, but you only have a 1/100 chance of getting a drop per kill

    1. For Stalkers, is DM the highest DPS set, even w/o Soul Drain? (Assuming Perma-hasten)

    2. Is Dark Blast part of the max DPS attack chain for DM Stalkers (I.E. MG>DB>S>SL>DB>S as opposed to MG>S>SL>S)

    3. Is Dark Blast worth taking Soul Mastery over Leviathan even though Shadow Meld will probably be useless? (Planning on a /Nin or /SR)
for the first question, im not entirely sure, but in terms of solid DPS i would say it has a good chance, definitly yes if you take soul drain

for second question, i dont think it would make a huge impact on dmg, but another attack, and a ranged one at that, would be beneficial

for the last question, shadow meld would be an excellent power to go with ninjitsu or SR because it does +def all for like 15 sec and has a rech of 1 min, with perma hasten you would nearly be able to perma shadow meld. the only downside to shadow meld is that enemies can see you while you have it active.

Any specific reason for this or just gut feel?
its mostly a gut feeling, theres the possibility it might work, but with the current system engine i dont know if they could implement this, but i am not sure, i just have a feeling this isnt something they will implement soon(TM)

    leveling thru ae

i wouldnt fight psi dmg guys anyway even with high resists to them because of the -rech effect they have.

in the case of your enemies getting no xp, custom enemies have to be set on at least standard/standard to get any xp at all and its only 75% normal xp, you have to make customs with at least hard/hard to get normal xp as other enemies. also if you make a custom enemy group you need to have minion class, LT class, and boss class in the group or you will get xp deductions (25% xp for 1 of 3, 75% for 2 of 3).

i would suggest to go back and check your mish to make sure you have everything together so your not losing xp.

i dont think theres anything wrong lvling yourself this way, so long as you lvled at least 1 toon through non-AE means (minimal farming).

its an interesting idea, would definitly come in handy when your hitting lvl 47/49 and dont feel like you need any more powers in your build but could further one of your other powers better.

the idea is good, but the chance they would implement something like this is slim to none.
  10. i dont fear the holes, i just think they are insanely annoying because you could just go with another set and save yourself a good several mil inf or power choices not having to worry about the kb. i know with stuff they have now the holes can be filled, but if i had the choice i would rather go with a set that had built in protection which covered everything instead of leaving one hole that you have to take the inf or power choices to overcome that weakness or your gonna have problems at later levels. ive tried using dark armor and i have a fire armor im tempted to delete because its just annoying to play those sets because of the weakness, i love using my bane spider too, but i hate playing him because of the kb hole, fortunatas/night widows VEATs get kb protection built in with their mez protection.

my point is, it would make the sets a whole lot more fun to play if you didnt have to worry about the kb as much.
  11. i would rather have more slots than get a second account since buying the slots are 1 time fees while paying for a 2nd (or 3rd, ect) account really adds up after awhile.

Invulnerability: You have an Unyielding stance, your sheer strength allows you to shrug off knockback.

Ice Armor: Your slippery Wet Ice allows you to simply avoid knockback altogether, I guess?

Willpower: Your force of will, your undefeatable attitude as a normal human being, allows you to plant your feet and not be knocked back, no matter what.

Dark Armor/Fiery Aura: Gaining your powers from the Netherworld/fire, naturally you are incapable of resisting attempts to knock you off your feet???

There is literally no reason, concept or balance-wise, why Dark Armor and Fiery Aura should lack knockback protection. The knockback hole is nothing more than a holdover from the days of failed concepts like rooting status protection, unstackable armors, or, more on the money, Provoke being better than Tankers' built-in Taunt. Except being obligated to take Acrobatics (or spend a rather sizeable amount of Inf on the -KB IO) is far worse.
ive always wondered why they never had kb protection built into the fire and dark armor sets. to go along with this, why do bane/crab VEATs get no built in status protection, yet they get built in protection to just about everything else.

  14. you sir, have my envy

...and earned the right to brag lol
  15. in my experience, the best place to put a dmg proc is in a power that normally does no dmg, but slotting them into normal power is fine if you wanted a slight dmg boost every now and then.
  16. the fab was eaiest for most of my toons, however i know there is a mish with a lot of PP in it. i dont remember which arc it was from, but i know it was a lvl 45+ contact that gives the mish.
  17. scrapyarders/dockworkers arent really hero groups, they are just disgruntled workers.

luddites are similar to the dockworkers/scrapyarders in the fact that they are just disguntled civilians.
  18. i liked the auction event that went on. it was quite entertaining to see people blow so much money on that.

    Veteran Respec

go to your badges, then there should be a claim button to claim the respec, you have to claim on every toon individually.

    Vehicles

vehicles are neat idea, but i think they should remain strictly travel alternatives.

on a defense based toon i could see it as a possible issue, but on resist based sets its moot. and its not like its a long effect either, its only like 5 sec or so, easiest thing is to try to time the crash between mobs

in all honesty, the defense debuff from the rage crash is minimal enough you shouldnt have to worry about it a whole lot, the thing you need to worry about is the -dmg component of rage. in game the power info says it does -9999% dmg, but of course there is a dmg bonus minimum and it just puts it there for a whole 10 sec or so.
  23. in terms of diff, i vary it widely depending on what toon im using and what types of mishs im doing.

my dark/stone brute can run normal mishs on +0/x8 boss and AV, except against vanguard, vanguard are NASTY on 8 man spawns with bosses when soloing.

when im running AE mishs i spawn everything as low as it can go (-1/x1 no boss or AV) because i have no clue whether the person mish will have balanced or insanely overpowered enemies or if they have insanely overpowered EB/AV class enemies.

when running squishy toons in normal mishs i usually keep at -1 or +0 for lvl, and x1 or x2 on the spawn sizes (this is soloing)

melee toons i run on x3 usually, but until 20-25 i usually run on the default bcause it makes it easier, when in the very low lvls, <15, i usually run on -1 lvl because at tose lvls, you get xp insanely fast so you kill things faster, run mishs faster, essentially lvl up faster.

on teams, ill vary the diff depending on how the teams doing if the teams doing my mishs.

What does the second number do? I know what it means, but what does it do?
the second number altars how the mish spawns, not by lvl, but in mob size. the second number bases the mish on how many poeple you want to equate yourself as. if you set the second number to be x3, then your mish will spawn as if 3 people entered the mish.

Zombies and Rikti are just annoying these days. It sort of is the mentality of you need to drop everything and fight the foe, even if you're off saving the world or destroying the world, depending on your side.

Hell, I want to see something different invading that's not holiday related.

[EDIT:] I bet for the release of GR they'll have praetorian enemies invade Paragon and the Isles then just forget about it a day later.
the invasion weekends and stuff also get ridiculously annoying because they also despawn all normal spawns in the zone, thus making certain tfs with hunt mishs impossible to finish until the invasion passes, extending the time you need to be on the tf another 20-30 minutes.

IMHO, i think the invasion weekends killed the hype for the invasions because they occured so frequently people got the badges on all the toons they wanted and thus never participated unless they made new toons.
