Quote:all the dev choice tag does is allow either ticket drops or normal drops (salvage/recipies), it doesnt change anything regarding the xpThat's very sad and the reason I didn't get into AE for the longest time.
This makes me wonder... coding issues aside (because I'm sure if it were easy they'd probably have already done it) is it possible to have it set up to where all AE enemies followed certain templates so the devs could have direct control over their strength basically leaving the player in charge of what they look like and say and make them pick between different power sets in terms of what abilities they would have? Does that make sense? -
from the sound of it, elec/shield is what you want
-
ninja run is a very efficient lowbie travel power because you get it at lvl 4
self destruction is also another quick way to the hosp regardless of what lvl you are (will not give you debt)
i usually dont play heroside much because the low lvl zones i feel are way too big, most of the time i just play redside and kill stuff on the way to mishs because it helps lvl faster -
IMO, almost 75% of the guest author/dev choice arcs are just plain terrible, there are the decent ones an such, but most of them have either overpowered custom mobs or terrible storylines (in the guest author arcs, terrible xp, i dont care how popular the arc is, if it gives bad xp i wont play it or give it a good rating for that matter unless its only like a few enmies that give lower xp)
-
the LOLBAT one is a guest author arc which means it follows the same rules as player created arcs.
-
the only way to tell if something is giving normal xp is to play the arc.
if you load into a map with a custom group that is ONLY minions or leutenants, or bosses, then automatically the xp will be 25% normal xp, if 2 of those 3 are present then the xp will be 75% of normal.
on a final note, try to see the average xp you get from killing a normal enemy and then compare it because if a custom enemy is less than standard/standard they will not give any xp and if they are standard/standard, they will give 75% of normal, if they are hard/hard or higher they will give normal xp
what im saying is the only way to find out is to play the arc and if its giving less xp, any of those things could be contributing to that. -
Quote:the tornados arent as much a problem, its his EM pulse with massive dmg thats what usually kills teams ive fought him on, as an AV his em pulse will nearly 1 shot squishies.Having soloed all four of them on a number of toons (all different ATs) I have to say I agree with this list and for those reasons.
However, there is one way to make Scirocco nearly harmless, and that is engaging him in aerial combat way up in the air where he can't use his tornadoes. -
corrected thread title, had wrong ID number

i dont really have any ideas now, but when GR is out im gonna scrap a few lvl 50 toons i dont really care for and make praetorians with the new sets.

scirocco is one of the more annoying ones becaue of his em pulse (massve dmg with it) and the dust devils, on a whole it depends on team build for him.

ive never had trouble installing the game (done it at last 3 times now everytime on a different PC)
-
i would prolly say that scorp is prolly the weakest, since he is nothing more than a brute and doesnt really do anything special.
almost all of his powers are just super strength with some special energy attacks utilizing the tail ad his arm blaster. -
-
a signature power would be interesting, like unique attacks that arent obtaned normally, like an idea to me would be a signature power would be 1 attack thats signature of an existing AV (like the zeus lightning attack which is signature to imperious and statesman)
while these attacks are fairly powerful alone, and since they were powerful to begin with, you would not be allowed to slot them (like ninja run/walk), this could be a vet power that would give like 4 different options, each option being 1 power from a sigature AV (2 from heroside and 2 from redside) -
seems interesting to me, but it could have melee attacks such as arrow stab, where you are close enough to the enemy you just stab them with the arrow.
the tier 9 could be what manti has, the teleport arrow -
ive never been on a trial account either, but i have sent trial accounts to my cousin who doesnt currently have the funds to pay for a full account, he usually makes new toons at lvl 14 just to try to different sets to see what he likes.

you have to keep winning hotspot battles, once the bar completely fills though, it will reset to a 50-50 split between red and blue.
the better thing to do is just keep it like 90% your sides color so you have access to the special shop, because as long as the balance is not 50-50, whichever side has more on the bar "controls" sirens call. -
if they were on a trial account and couldnt lvl anymore, i wouldnt mind getting tickets myself if i had nothing planned for the day or nothing going on. a trial account cant make more than 50k inf either, so im not entirely sure why they would want to get rare salvage that sells for 20x the amount they can carry.
of course if i did allow them to come with me, and they did lvl past 14, i would kick them from team immediatly and /ignore them -
Quote:it made more sense to me to use the mish computer and try to tie it with sg's because the mish computer is underused (useless for blueside, has a sf for redisde, but thats it), and sg bases are also kind of underused (used for nothing but storage/transportation)Well, tying it to the mission computer would make it harder for the individual player with no base and no SG be able to utilize their own enemy groups.
However, extending "personal enemy" (which probably works best with a contact and such) to "group enemy" for the mission computer might work.
i do see what your saying for how an sg-less person would partake on this, what they could do is just use the brokers (they are almost useless in the fact they only give you bank mishs), to give you a personal enemy mish, they would check to see if you had a supergroup and if you did not then you could just go to a broker, if you did, they would tell you that your sg mish computer would have more intelligence on enemies. -
i was thinking the same thing, i knew something like that would never happen (unless they somehow got permission which would be kinda hilarious if they added star wars themed stuff to the game)

i have a lvl 50 axe/fire brute, hes extremely fun to play, but im debating on deleting him when GR is out because i hate pllaying him because of the constant redraw (i dont know how many times its killed me because i have to constantly redraw after healing flames)
EM isnt as bad as everyone says, but if you get it, try to build it for single target dmg because i also have a 50 EM/SR brute with whirling hands and its a horribly pitiful attack (although it is funny when you pop it and every minion around yuo starts stumbling around stunned for a few seconds), EM is incredibly strong single target (its not superb like some other sets, but its very good especially once you build up fury).
but i do agree that whatever you choose would definitly be good to avoid powers with weapons to avoid redrawing constantly (claws wouldnt be as bad since the redraw is pretty fast comparatively)
