I have 3 lvl 50 defender's. Match up a defender & dom in pvp see who wins, the dom will kill the defender in 2 sec's.

If people think there is nothing wrong with defenders I don't know what they are smoking. lol

I'd say defenders might be dead last or tie with a WS/PB on the pvp scale. It's very sad!

Defender are & have been useless in pvp since these garbage game ruining nerfs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Should a defender kill a dom in 1 on 1 pvp? How bout versus a stalker or a blaster?

Come on now, your a buff/debuff class.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So what should they kill easily?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not sure. Maybe nothing... easy. That's the thing, the defender needs to drag out the battle.

However, I do agree that debuffs, buffs classes are weaker. They really should get rid of heal decay and travel suppression for the heal. It really only penalizes the debuff/buff classes.

One last thing (maybe this is a call for a buff), debuffs are generally restricted to just one target. Sure, things like darkest night and rad infect have a radius, but it is too small for zone pvp. Patches as well.

    PvP=Broken

    That alone kills pvp?

Well, I did benefit from the boost. My squishie is now more survivable by an extra 2 attacks. However, my res patron shield and res aura are practically worthless.

    New Doms

I think the 'shock' to the system was that there were a billion doms in RV.

One thing I noticed during the first day or so was that there were a LOT more defeats on both sides which made the whole RV experience more fun. Doms do good damage now, but they are squishie.
  5. Earth/EA gets you powerboosted -def (and mezzes) and mitigates knockback if you like. Maybe pb'd -to hit in earthquake?

Mind/EA simply allows you to knock stuff around (and powerboosted mezzes).
  6. I die about 1 in out of 5 hibernates thanks to TP. It takes a whole hero team camping me to kill me (plus heavies of course). Also, this is when I solo.

Teamed is a different story. Camping heroes makes stalker teammates salivate.

    Earth/Energy

Definitely, unless your dueling controllers or MMs.
  8. Not much. The no self heal is the big downer. Unless your dueling, zones is tough with no self heal.

On the flip side, this combo allows you to HL so you can blast away with Thunderous blast without worrying too much about the loss in endurance.

Its work very well in PVE.

I think that Webnades are better for zones, while Hibernate is better for arena duels. Hibernate in zones will keep you alive for 30 seconds while simultaneously giving every person on the opposing side 30 seconds to prepare to spike you the second it goes down. I see it every night in RV.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Take TP. You can queue TP while in Hibernate. Sure, they can still spike you, but you are now a few hundred yards away and queuing your next TP. Works almost all the time.
  10. Dom....Click Surge of Power!....ARRRGH!

earth/energy will work to, but only in that combo.

    [/ QUOTE ]
The only problem I have with this combo is the -kb in earth negating the power push. Your thoughts.

Also, for anything /em, you could get tactics. That plus pb should put you close to the to hit cap. Of course, anything besides earth is going to probably take the mace mastery pool for more -def.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    play it like a grav.
you don't spam your hold like an idiot, and you time your kbs for when the target is not -kb resistant. learning to do this will actually make you a more competent team dom (more often than not im first or second round pick on kickballs full of test pvpers on a lolzy grav/fire).

    not that hard.
some people need to grow a brain.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I guess I have hold, then knockback(up) attack hard coded for non-squishies. For squishies, just lead with knockback(up), then hold.

BTW, I am thinking in regards to zone.

PVP wise that is. PVE Earth/em looks very solid.

    <QR>

Just tested the changes on my Mind/Energy.

Overall changes: Feels great! I like the changes very much so far. Endurance is a bit of an issue, but not that much. Harder to get Domination up before running out of END now. Much harder, in fact. The only reason I bring this up is because it is now needed for END recharge. Mobs die much, much quicker, however.

Power Bolt: Feels about the same, but that is a good thing. It was one of my favorites pre-patch, and it remains a good power. Worth slotting IMO.

Bone Smasher: Feels about the same, if not slightly better. Quite powerful.

Power Push: Superior to Levitate as an attack now. It's much faster, VERY ACCURATE, and has a partial energy component. It now contributes to a ranged attack chain. Has the power of old Power Blast with the speed of Power Bolt.

Power Blast: Feels much stronger, about on par with old Bone Smasher.

Whirling Hands: Damage is still crap. Range is now very nice, however. If you take Soul Drain, it's worth considering. Combine with Soul Drain and it's possible to 2-shot +2 minions with WH -> Total Focus.

Total Focus: MUCH stronger. Takes off 2/3 of a +2 minion's HP.

Sniper Blast: I kept forgetting I had this. Never though of using it during a fight except for novelty. Damage is great, but that was true before the buff. It's still too cumbersome.

Power Burst: Feels about the same.

    [/ QUOTE ]

TF seems pretty good now. I have a 48 mind/em on test that I took into RV. I can now kill a lb leut in about 3-4 attacks. On live, it takes about 5-6.

My TF on test (RV) does 2 chunks of dam, 299 and 93 (don't remember the exact numbers). On live it was about 199 and 60 in RV.

Power push also does more damage, but lol, so what. Never used that power for dam anyway.
  15. Does this proc work? Mids does a strange thing and adds its bonus to the -to hit for Fearsome Stare.

This got me wondering (and after observing that it didn't seem to boost my to hit on groups of lb in RV after a successful hit, could have been on an old Test server), does this proc boost me or the target?
  16. NP.

For knockback, hit first with a hold and then with your highest knockback mag power. It should work.
  17. 1 versus 3 and your a blaster? Your gonna die every time.

So, you need a team, not sure why the heroes didn't pick you up. Heh, in my experience heroes are actually less heroic than villains.

Also, check your build. You will need a heal, PFF or phase or hibernate, SS and SJ or Fly.

And, keep at it. Eventually, you will find how to play your build. This is beyond what people say how to play, it is more like a 'feel'.
  18. Well, if you want to contribute even more to a team, I would suggest rad or sonic.

If you are running a Corruptor you want Leaping Pool, not Fighting.

Pretty much you want Fitness, Leaping and Speed pools. Your 4th Pool is based on what you wanna do (Duel, Solo, Team, Zone Arena) and what Patron Pool you select.

For instance if you are a 2v2 build you may want Leadership for Tactics since Forge has no Perception, depending on what you team mate has of course. Also depending on if you go Scorpion and get Focus Acc.

Since you are Therm there is pretty much no point in taking Medicine Pool, so your options are pretty much Concealment and Leadership.

Then if you take Mako mastery you prolly won't want Phase and Hibernoob.

So for me personally, it's Mako+Leadership or Scorpion+Concealment.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sounds good. If you do take hibernate, and this is for zone play, you kinda need teleport to tp away after hibernating. For me, its a surefire way to escape those who camp you after hitting hibernate.

Also, tp is actually a great power to catch base runners.

    I made a Sonic/Therm too Finished 2 h ago.

I was thinking, for solo, about something similar:

SONIC: Shriec,Scream,Howl, Shout, Amplify, Siren Song, Screech.

    THERMAL: Warmth, Heat Exaustion,Melt Armor.

    FITNESS: Hurdle,Healt, Stamina.

    LEADERSHIP: Maneuvers,Assault,Tactic.

    SPEED: Hasten, Super Speed.

LEAPING: Combat Jumping, Super Jump, Acrobatics.

    LEVIATHAN: Shark Skin , Ibernate.

One left, i donnow what i ll take yet

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Flurry.
  22. Problem is, this is a game of how fast can you kill rather than how well you can survive. KB sets are better at survival (by knocking back tough opponents), and that type of mitigation reduces kill rates.
