what goes best with /nrg?
For soloing, Fire/Nrg will probably be a pretty good bet as Fire/ is always a pretty good choice... although for *farming* /nrg won't be that great even now as it doesn't have *that* much AoE.
Really though, I think anything/nrg should perform pretty well now- I personally just rolled a Grav/Nrg for i15 and am loving it so far (although I haven't gotten to the point that I usually ditch /nrg).

Similarly, with earthquake and ice slick I am not so sure about Earth/ and Ice/.
All of Gravity/, Mind/, and Plant/ don't have anything in particular that would mind the knockback (although maybe if you knock them back into another spawn confused foes can present problems.)
I think it is something you have to consider now that power push is your single best DPA attack, because it has 100% knockback.

It is worth noting that Grav has -KB in their hold, while Mind and Plant do not, so if you want to use that -KB in between holds for holding bosses, Grav doesn't have that capability.

I think people would be able to deal with that since /nrg doesn't have any AoE kb.
Earth/EA gets you powerboosted -def (and mezzes) and mitigates knockback if you like. Maybe pb'd -to hit in earthquake?
Mind/EA simply allows you to knock stuff around (and powerboosted mezzes).

I have a Fire/Energy Dom, and I don't feel this way at all. Fire goes awesome with Energy actually. Ever see what a boss KB'd into a nearby corner turns into when he's pegged there and being burnt to a crisp by 3 angry fire imps? LOL, bascially, he does quite fast.
Using Fire/Energy simply means you have to use your "head" every once in awhile too, do that, and the build is a monster.

Bonfire is such a surreal power. Good solo, hate it on teams barring for some really corner cases.
I'm going grav/nrg, although I suspect that earth/nrg will be killer. With the buffed secondary, you'll be wanting to use it a lot, so your controls will likely get less attention - so you might as well make them count. Volcanic gasses and earthquake, as fire and forget, will leave you more time to blast.

I really think you can pair anything with Energy. Especially if you're trying to build a more "blaster-like" type of dom. Fire/Energy, Plant/Energy, and Earth/Energy all look like winners. I also suspect more people will be using "power boost" to bolster the effects of the primary. This way they can choose a minimum of powers from the primary and focus more on the secondary.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi
I've never played a Dom before, and now seems the best time to start. Could you tell me what goes best with /energy for soloing? pve, and possibly pvp? (though I have pvp toons already so its not a must).
