Quote:1. It's a mouse click. There's no reason to ***** about it.Look, to some people, one extra mouseclick is too much hassle. For others, going anywhere is too much hassle, hence the calls for /tailor. Arguing over who's laziest is pointless - both are entitled to begrudge the extra work.

2. It's ONE mouse click. ONE.
3. The need to repeat over six posts the "hassle" of ONE (I repeat, ONE, yes ONE) mouse click is absurd.
It takes two clicks to post on this forum, three if you use Preview Post after Quick Reply. One more mouse click isn't going to ******* kill you, and NO ONE should be acting like it will. -

Valkyrie boots. There aren't a lot of decent armored boots in the game; plus the regular male boots have like... size 4 feet. It's bizarre.

If the devs handed you two hundred dollars on a silver platter, you would complain that it wasn't a check.
If they handed you a check, you'd complain that it wasn't a gift card.
This is a great change. -
Quote:Wow. I'm really glad you don't run the game because the sheer stupidity of what you posted ranks just under je_saist's "every tanker gets Resist Energies" post. The diminishing return for CoH could be simple: 100% rewards first time, 80% second, and on down 20% each run. Reset -Weekly-
Let's do the math here, shall we? It's very simple.
3 Trials (Keyes, BAF, Lambda)
7 Days in a Week
If the rewards were reset weekly, as you propose, players would be screwed out of rewards four days out of the week if (emphasis on if) they decided to do one full-reward trial per day. This means that people who enjoy snagging 3 Empyreans a day by doing all 3 available trials would be screwed out of full rewards 6 days out of the week.
You honestly think this is a GOOD idea? If anything it would just cause players to A) dismiss the Incarnate system entirely; B) quit the game because a decision that bad foreshadows further bad decisions.
Just no. We do not need ANY examples or gameplay models taken from WoW, we do not need diminishing returns and we sure as hell don't need diminishing returns that reset weekly. -
Quote:You scoff at people who like to play the game that's most fun for them? You scoff at people, like me, who want some +Recharge bonuses and end up getting about 30 other bonuses in the process?I look at people that have dozens of Set Bonuses and I scoff
Not a good habit. You play your game, I'll play mine. -
Quote:If this happens, I know who's window to put a brick through. I hate Keyes because I hate dying every 5 seconds and I hate Lambda because I can't stand watching the coordination of a team fall apart and having 2 portals open because some dolt won't check his power trays.if someone at Paragon were to tell me that they were putting diminishing rewards on astrals, threads, and reward rolls for trials, I'd be ecstatic.
If they put diminishing rewards on the trials I'm giving up on the Incarnate system. -
It's amazing to see so many posts echo "kill the nictus first" and not the following, which I have done on every single ITF I've ever run and it works 100% of the time:
Beat Romulus until he stops resurrecting. Seriously. Ignore the Nictus, deal with adds as needed, and just hammer his face until he doesn't rez anymore. It has never once failed me, even on poorly made-up teams. -
While I can't relate just yet, I have a feeling I may soon.
I have an Earth/Stone Dominator (Catastrophus) at level 49, and in comparison with every other Dom combo in this game (I've tried them all, trust me) none have ever felt as solid. When those powers were given to Doms I was the first of my global buddies to roll one up and he became so wildly and rampantly powerful it almost caught me off guard. I don't think I can ever play another dominator without comparing it to Catastrophus's unthinkable ability to control. Quicksand, Earthquake, Volcanic Gasses, Stalagmites, Mud Pots, Sleet, Ice Storm, and then just run in and smash.
On the same note, I have a level 48 BS/Regen Scrapper, a level 48 (IIRC) Night Widow, and a level 47 Brute all waiting in the wings. I've forced myself not to play them too hard, as I want to hit 50 on Catastrophus and then, of course, hit 50 on the remaining close-to's that I have in my character list. However I don't want dinging 50, the big Five-Oh, to lose it's luster and specialness by taking 3 more toons and pinging them to max level one by one in a short span of time. If I did that I fear I might be able to relate pretty well to your situation.
My advice to you is to try new things always, even if they seem like a bad idea. For 3 years I was adamant in stating that I could never play a Dominator. Then, Earth and Stone were added to Doms and, on a whim, I created what may be the second most powerful character in my arsenal behind big bad Nalrok; this is me saying this when Nalrok is loaded with Incarnate stuff and Catastro isn't even 50. -

I thought you said you'd be stopping, Cien.

Will this also address the frequent assertion failures NOT associated with the store, as well as the memory leak?

Mr. Kaison,
I do have a sample of said medication, and I have about two months supply left; it's been an interesting week so far, knowing that I could either run out of my needed injections or finally have a mind capable of reproducing it indefinitely (and I do mean indefinitely, should you manage to replicate it I will gladly pay whatever fees are needed to continue doing business with the Kaison Corporation). I sincerely thank you for your time and for responding to my inquiry. I'll see you at the grand opening of your esteemed company.

P.S. Would it be appropriate to bring any sort of food? I'm not one to boast but I make a very impressive salsa. -

I was expecting the Street Justice AS to be either the fabled "knee to the groin" or some sort of massive elbow to the solar plexus, or even punching the poor guy in the throat with your knuckles extended.
I was disappointed. -
Quote:Manga, you've done more for the Mac community than most people do for their family, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. But, the problem with this is that, in my attempts to raise awareness to the mac client problems in I21 beta, the majority of responses boiled down to either "this goes in the mac forum" or "did you read the known issues? Read the known issues this is in the known issues." I know it's important for us Mac folk to get into Closed Beta, but right now that really isn't important. Closed Beta invites don't really mean much to the Mac community when the problems we're having are two years old and haven't been addressed since Issue 13. We can plug away at the notion that getting under NDA and testing new content would help us but the problem isn't in Closed Beta; it's been Live for two years and no amount of beta testing will fix it.What you can do, though, is if you're invited to a Closed Beta: Run with the Mac client once in a while, go around from zone to zone a bit, try anything that's a new interface (like Paragon Market, Auction House, etc) and visit anyplace in-game where you've had crashing, lag, or other problems before. Then if you find problems, post something to the Beta forums that says "This doesn't work".
Quite frankly this Mac forum is almost as bad as a two way mirror; we can post all we want about bugs but it hardly ever seems to get noticed as we look out from the dark room at everyone else's problems being handled, and anyone looking at our problems doesn't see anything. In that same sense, we post all we want and the devs can look in and see the problems, but we can't see what they're doing on the other side and never know if anything's even being done. If I had it my way, this Mac Users forum would be merged with Technical Issues/Bugs, BECAUSE THEY SERVE THE EXACT SAME PURPOSE. Segregation of PC users and Mac users is contributing to the apathy towards our problems. Hell, we can't post ANYWHERE about the mac client without some ******** belting out "Why isn't this in the mac forum?"
We need a solid contact from Paragon, a Redname dedicated to us mac users. We also need as much information about the current relationship with Transgaming and as much info about the mac client and how it works as possible.
I mean, look at this entire forum subsection. 11+ pages of threads, and 90% of them (I counted and did the math) are about the same bugs/crashes! THE SAME BUGS/CRASHES FOR TWO YEARS and all we've ever received from the devs has been "We're looking in to it." I know I always call people on being entitled, so the following is very hypocritical of my nature: All of these placating "We know, we're investigating" posts by Paragon are no longer enough. I am repeating myself, but:
-We need to know the exact relationship Paragon has with Transgaming.
-We need to know if the issues we're having have actually been mentioned.
-We need Zwill to clarify if his post stating the Cider wrapper isn't getting update is still the current plan, because if it is then the Mac client is as good as dead and I can start saving the stupid amount of money it costs to get a Windows 7 Home key.
The bold text is important. If the cider wrapper is not going to be updated, the Mac client is not worth supporting. -
I can dual boot.
I would really freaking prefer not to though. Either this crap gets fixed or Paragon needs to tell us to jump ship.
