  1. Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. Now to see if I can get the recharge and defense I want for that attack chain.
  2. I'm working on a Claws/Elec scrapper right now and I'm wondering what is the best possible attack chain? What about second best in case I can't get that much recharge?

For some of us that are using the forums, all these posts just add to the noise.

You don't like people adding to the noise with extra threads, yet you have no problem adding a bunch of noise to this thread(at let's face it, your posts in this thread are nothing but noise). The hypocrisy makes me smile.

I've never had a problem with it, though I've only done it like two or three times. You sure it wasn't an odd spelling you didn't realize?

While usually true, that's not always the case. Joined an all Scrapper ITF the other day and we finished in 27 minutes. Now we had five elec/sd and two fire/sd(with all but one or two IOd out), so that is the exception. It was massive AoE carnage and was awesome
  6. I vote for two Scrappers. Any two will work great.

A lot more people have Android phones and iPhones than play CoH, that is for damn sure.

OK, seriously, Rachel has it right. Spend dev time and other resources on something the majority can potentially use, instead of just the few who have dropped big bucks into a phone.
First, not all smartphones cost big bucks. My Android phone cost me twenty five dollars(straight from Verizon).

Your post is nothing more than newer version of an old fart telling them darn kids to get off his lawn. Do you realize how out of touch and ignorant you sound?

I actually don't care for this idea, mainly because I just don't think it is that useful. But your reasoning for being against it just makes you sound old and out of touch.

Fantastic statement! I couldn't agree more. To add to that, recipes are made to be shared, tweaked and improved. I feel the same way about builds.

Generally if someone asks for a build I'll say "post your own" in order to get an idea of what they're thinking, and then I'll tear that build down and change things up a bit. I'm more than willing to share my builds with people that ask, but I encourage people to build their own and compare the two.
I like your thinking here. I have no problem posting my build whatsoever. But sometimes I won't do it because my build won't fit somebody's goal very well compared to tweaking and/or criticizing a build that person posted.

I've tried to modify builds. But really, I can tweak a given power in a complete vacuum. that's the limit of it. Making it fit a concept or contribute to the whole? Totally outside my skillset.

What helps me play and have fun is when someone just gives me a build and says "pick these, slot these, here's your attack chain".

Really, you don't want to know how bad it gets when I try to modify things or do it myself.

I end up with things like my stalker who has the Serendipity Endurance reduction and no other pieces from the set in hide. Or my cold/ice defender who runs out of endurance on one spawn of two -1 level minions and sometimes gets killed by them. And I've been playing for two years now. I'm a bit better now, but not much.

I appreciate the help because i'll never stop trying to get better, but I really prefer the cookie cutter along with the help.
IMO nothing wrong with that. This is a game after all, it's ALL about having fun.

I have three characters that I consider extremely high end builds. I'm very proud of all three builds(for those curious DM/SR scrapper, FM/SD scrapper, and Cold/Dark defender), every time I post one of those builds I hope that somebody finds a little thing here or there to help improve it.

See I just disagree with this statement in every way possible. Sharing information like this benefits everybody and hurts nobody.

I don't see builds as proprietary information. I see my builds as open source.
  10. OP, my vote goes for fire/elec blaster. IMO killing really fast is the best defense.

If you're willing to invest in two purples sets then you can get some fantastic performance. Now I chose not to slot Tough and most people prefer to have it slotted, I just wanted the other things more.

  15. If you run a service every day of the year, you should have people to handle problems that might arise every day of the year.

Also, your point about banks isn't really too valid. You can call Wellsfargo(one example) right now and talk to somebody. In fact, you can do that everyday of the year.

Only if an Android app is released at the same time. Otherwise, /unsigned.
  19. I don't think that will solve the exploit problem. A bunch of people just make their farm missions and unpublish them when they are done for the day.
  20. Don't worry, I bought more.
  21. People need to learn how to relax. This isn't a big deal.
  22. I have no problem with the costume idea. Since people wouldn't have to use it(like we dont have to use IOs), I don't see a drawback to the idea. It could possibly cause balance issues, but that is for the numbers people to figure out.
  23. My guess is some sort of global stat boost. Kinda like set bonuses that don't require IOs. I have nothing to back up that guess, just my speculation.
