    Now, just because a few MMOs do it, that doesn't mean CoH should. That isn't my point at all.
  2. Personally I don't care either way if this game went F2P. It can be done successfully, look at DDO. That games revenue and player base shot up. So if it were done the same basic way DDO was done I would have no problem with it.

    That being said, I don't think it is needed either.

    You don't need anything particular on a team to be successful in this game. When I form teams I invite the first seven people to say yes.

    Outside of specific extreme encounters, if you(general you) need a specific AT/powerset then you're doing something wrong.

    I realize you said encountered so you may not have played a lot of the big games the last few years(or maybe you've played them all).

    I've enjoyed all the stories, but I disagree that they are better than such games as Dragon Age(and possibly Mass Effect, but I'm only about half way through and I'm not sold on that game yet).

  8. Hell I'll be content with that before Christmas. Though depending how they do the stories for the Incarnate slots we may get a TF for each side.

    This. I'm ready for end game content. Difficult, challenging end game content. Stuff harder than the STF and LRSF. Anything less will be a disappointment.

    All this other stuff we have been getting is nice, don't get me wrong. But it's not enough to keep my interest anymore. I19 is the issue that will decide if I keep playing or not.

  12. My vote goes to four Emp/Sonic defenders with Assault. You wouldn't even need enhancements to steamroll most of the games content.

    I'm about 98% blueside only player(about 95% of that is on Scrapeprs). I've always felt that every player's role is to go nuts and start killing ****. Obviously the tools differ between ATs and powersets, but everyone has the same role when I lead a team.

    IMO if you have to wait for the tank, then the entire team is doing it wrong. I prefer my tanks to push the pace and leap ahead once the current mob is starting to go down. If the tank is timid(which I see often), then I expect somebody else to start on the next mob(Scrapper, troller, defender, blaster, doesn't really matter)
  15. I don't mind the squishiness of my new spines/fire. I'll just play him like I do my Blasters. I play my blasters about as aggressive as my fire/SD Scrapper, so I guess nothing is really gonna change. Debt makes me all tingly inside.

    A few things about the build:

    This is a build I've had for a few weeks as a possible respec for myself. Originally it had in all level 30-33 IOs but I changed them all to 50 for this post. That means you have 47.5% defense to all three positions. I don't think that much is really needed, so there is some wiggle room.

    Your original build didn't really have enough recharge IMO, this build is a few seconds away from perma hasten.

    I also stuck the Hecatomb proc into Smite since you will use that a lot more than Midnight Grasp.

    Mine has slightly less regen, but more hit points.

    I also prefer using only HOs in Siphon Life so you can get max benefit from its damage and heal.
