To me saying something "costs X" means it regularly costs that. Maybe it does, I haven't checked, but that's not really what I got from the thread up till now. -
Actually, I'm gonna have to go against fire/shield and elec/shield. You just do so much AoE damage that you often make your teammates feel useless. If you kill everything stupidly fast, what are your teammates gonna do?

It was insane. I'm guessing there was a significant outside factor considering how fast this all happened. Maybe some event going on in game that messed with supply and demand or somebody(or more than one person) messing around for ***** and giggles. It lasted maybe three days(not sure though). -

There's profit in flipping high volume stuff, but you'd probably get a better ROI vendoring junk recipes. It's a lot of effort for very little return.
I was able to move several hundred a day. Buying for around 45-50k and selling them 75-90k. It was a lot of work, and the profit wasn't that great. But it helped me learn a bit, so it was worth it. -

I think the thing is a lot of stone brutes/tanks out there can't seem to function without speed boost and get very whiney and demanding. Those players are crappy. If not having speed boost means you(generic you) can't play your character effectively then that means you(generic you) and/or your build sucks. -

I'm looking at and liking a build I have for a kinetics/archery defender (or corruptor). I played the defender version up to level 12 and learned very quickly that I really do not enjoy maintaining speed boost on my teamates. Frankly, I mainly play scrappers and damage dealers, and the idea of rebuffing 7 players every 2 minutes all night long is not fun for me. Eventually I dropped it altogether. Some people complained, a couple even booted me. But that was very rare.
Honestly I say build your toon however you want. It is supposed to be fun for you above all else. If your idea of fun doesn't match with another person's idea of fun(or the teams), then just move on. -

on their own both sets perform fine at end game, compared to most other support sets though they underperform due to lack of variety. It's one of those situations where given the choice between a Cold or FF, they'll always take the Cold because it offers more. That doesn't mean that FF isn't good, it just doesn't bring as much to the table as Cold does at endgame.

Level 30 SO is what 35,000 ish.

I think we'll be getting the ability to run up walls with super speed. It is the most requested feature I can think of.
I also think we'll finally get the ability to do powerset respecs. I mean, there is no real reason why we can't now, so something that huge would need to be kept a secret.
And finally I think the devs are gonna merge servers. We only have two, sometimes three, active servers. The rest are dead and need to be merged. Now is as good a time as there has ever been. Playing on dead servers makes people quit. Nobody likes slow servers. -
