Quote:Prices seem to have fallen a bit since the weekend on the few purples I've been tracking, which I expect.Has that really been established? What I'm seeing is that one piece sold for that much over the weekend. How many times? Is it still that price?
To me saying something "costs X" means it regularly costs that. Maybe it does, I haven't checked, but that's not really what I got from the thread up till now. -
Actually, I'm gonna have to go against fire/shield and elec/shield. You just do so much AoE damage that you often make your teammates feel useless. If you kill everything stupidly fast, what are your teammates gonna do?
Also, in case you couldn't tell, this is sarcasm. -

Quote:Couldn't agree more. One thing I quickly learned was that the rate at which that stuff was flipping was not normal. I would put up stacks of ten bids and sell ten at the same time(making sure I wasn't buying my own stuff obviously) and they would fill withing minutes sometimes.flipping cheap stuff does provide an excellent education in basic market forces.
It was insane. I'm guessing there was a significant outside factor considering how fast this all happened. Maybe some event going on in game that messed with supply and demand or somebody(or more than one person) messing around for ***** and giggles. It lasted maybe three days(not sure though). -
-
Well, that is a completely self centered idea. How about we be reasonable and suggest adding a Studio B type door to the markets so everyone can have it the way they want it.
-
Quote:I second this. When I first decided to get into the market to make influence, I started out by flipping Alchemical Silvers because it was low risk, worst case I would be out a million or so.There's profit in flipping high volume stuff, but you'd probably get a better ROI vendoring junk recipes. It's a lot of effort for very little return.
I was able to move several hundred a day. Buying for around 45-50k and selling them 75-90k. It was a lot of work, and the profit wasn't that great. But it helped me learn a bit, so it was worth it. -
Quote:You realize that the recharge on granite is slow enough that if they take it off it likely won't be up again until after the next fight starts. SB is a HUGE boon to stone tanks/brutes, they use EVERY part of SB well. They have recharge issues, endurance issues(yes even after IO's including numina's/miracle), and speed issues. It doesn't matter if they pop in and out of granite and take TP it makes their life a million times easier to have SB on, and all it takes form the kin is minimal time/endurance. That's like me saying "must taunt aura all the time because I can't bother myself with controlling my aggro".
Please for the love of god if you have SB, if you do ONE thing with it keep the stone brute SB'd.
I think the thing is a lot of stone brutes/tanks out there can't seem to function without speed boost and get very whiney and demanding. Those players are crappy. If not having speed boost means you(generic you) can't play your character effectively then that means you(generic you) and/or your build sucks. -
Quote:Sounds like the situation I used to be in with my kin. I just speed boosted people when I had a chance. If that meant they went without for a couple minutes, then so be it. If they complained I just ignored it. If it was a stone tank that needed SB I just laughed at them when they started complaining.I'm looking at and liking a build I have for a kinetics/archery defender (or corruptor). I played the defender version up to level 12 and learned very quickly that I really do not enjoy maintaining speed boost on my teamates. Frankly, I mainly play scrappers and damage dealers, and the idea of rebuffing 7 players every 2 minutes all night long is not fun for me. I'm aware that this may just mean kinetics isn't the set for me, but I'm wondering if any of you expirienced kineticists find that not having speed boost, or not keeping it up 100% of the time is heavily frowned upon.
Also, as an alternative, if there's a bind/macro I can use to quickly cycle through my teamates by tapping a button 7 times in a row, that'd probably help me enjoy the toon a lot more.
Any suggestion or advice?
Eventually I dropped it altogether. Some people complained, a couple even booted me. But that was very rare.
Honestly I say build your toon however you want. It is supposed to be fun for you above all else. If your idea of fun doesn't match with another person's idea of fun(or the teams), then just move on. -
Quote:Not always. For example, a good team leader will pick whichever one says yes first. A bad team leader will wait around until they get just the powerset they 'need'.on their own both sets perform fine at end game, compared to most other support sets though they underperform due to lack of variety. It's one of those situations where given the choice between a Cold or FF, they'll always take the Cold because it offers more. That doesn't mean that FF isn't good, it just doesn't bring as much to the table as Cold does at endgame.

Quote:With the exception of crafting costs(those are fixed prices), if you're paying that much for recipes and salvage for common IOs that is your fault. Be more patient with your bids. With SO's they are not that expensive but when a single IO recipe (im not talking about the uber IO's like Numina, Obliteration, Procs or Uniques etc) can cost 250,000 INF, then the salvage say another 150,000 INF and crafting cost (say 55,000 INF) thats 455,000 INF for a single Slot. Level 30 SO is what 35,000 ish.

I don't think there would be a case. It is ok to mention competitors trademarked terms in advertising. Hell you can even do that for Google searches.

This sounds extremely lame.

First, I've noticed increased running from critters recently.
Now on to the important subject, how ******* awesome is that voice? I get why the chicks dig it. Leandro, do some voice work and use your powers to seduce women. You've got this. -
Quote:Usually I'm better at interpretting online sarcasm, but I admit I missed it completely this time.
I have no excuse really, I was probably lulled into a knee jerk 'stop them' reaction because I have actually seen those very things seriously asked for too many times... or maybe I needed more sleep... or maybe... um, the sun was in my eyes
Not your fault. I intentionally hid my sarcasm to see the reactions.
I've seen those things suggested several times too, which is why I picked them. -
Quote:Well I can understand some people not realizing I was joking, especially if they aren't familiar with me and my general position on things. And I didn't give any indication of sarcasm(other than the ridiculous predictions that is).Sarcasm seems to be lost on a lot of posters lately. You should know that teh interweb r srs bsns.
But for a moment I did consider arguing for my predictions for ***** and giggles. -
I like the double XP weekend. My friend and I have been wanting to PL a pair of emp/sonic defenders.
-
I think we'll be getting the ability to run up walls with super speed. It is the most requested feature I can think of.
I also think we'll finally get the ability to do powerset respecs. I mean, there is no real reason why we can't now, so something that huge would need to be kept a secret.
And finally I think the devs are gonna merge servers. We only have two, sometimes three, active servers. The rest are dead and need to be merged. Now is as good a time as there has ever been. Playing on dead servers makes people quit. Nobody likes slow servers. -
Quote:Soo . . . in summary:
OP has a concern.
Certain group of players think he's stupid and whiny for having that concern.
Another group doesn't share that concern but have another concern.
A third group thinks that the first group were terribly rude.
*Math*
Repeat.
That about sums it up.
You also forgot people attempting to make witty commentary on said thread. -
