Where's the DOOOMM?
Mood?
I'm not sure.. I had a purple recipe drop early today and sold it for 200 million. Seems to functioning normally to me LOL
I know let's start a new DOOOOOOM topic.. I-19 will allow everyone to have Stamina at level 2. The early game will become SO easy players will become bored and quit in droves. We are all doomed! :-D
Were always the good guys. In D&D, were lawful good. In City of Heroes were the heroes. In Grand Theft Auto we pay the prostitutes promptly and never hit them with a bat. Leonard
Those women are prostitutes? You said they were raising money for stem cell research! Sheldon
level 2?! I have to grind all the way through level 1 to get free fitness?! DOOOOOOOMMM!!! Merge teh SERVERZZ!!!
I think War Witch is to thank for the merge. I'd love to say what I think about all those that were against the merge but then I'd get banned from here.

I recall a number of players on the forums saying the market merger would be a disaster, but none of them were willing to make specific predictions as to how it would disast.
Now now relax.. Technically you will have it at level one but realistically since you can only slot to ++ on any enhancement you really can't put anything in the one slot of Stamina you have till level 2 LOL Oh GOD no it's the "let's merge the servers thread again! Now we are all doomed!" hehehe

Well they better make that perf. shifter proc start at lvl 1 or I'm quitting. THEN I'll go find some duct tape, THEN I'll go find two servers, any servers, maybe the ones here at work, maybe the ones at the library, and merge them. THEN I'll get a gas mask and a wearable billboard that says "The end is near" and walk up and down the street crying DOOOOOM!!!

Actual doom?
A leveling of prices across the board on IO sets. Low ends will drop lower (1 mil or so) mid levels will come up and high levels will go down. A Homogenization, if you will.
I fully expect this to cause much panic with the population. I intend to make a bundle on it myself
Inherent stamina:
If its anything like sprint, I'm not so sure people will like it inherent. You may not get the mileage you're used to getting by say level 21 when you 3 slot it. If they assume 3 slotted levels at 50, then ramp it down accordingly from 50-1, low levels and mid-levels of stamina are going to be teh suck.

The values will be kept exactly the same including being able to be slotted.

I also laughed a lot at the market-merge-is-the-doom-of-us-all crowd. I laughed more at the people against it for roleplaying reasons.
To be fair, however, I was one of the people that stated we would never see inherent fitness, so I'm not innocent on the didn't-see-that-coming front.
Be well, people of CoH.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
When something good happens to me, I can never enjoy it....
I am always too busy looking for the inevitable punchline...
BEHOLD THE POWER OF CHEESE!

When characters could change alignments every few days, smuggling between the markets would have been rampant, and the in-game rationale for alignment changes doesn't make sense for constantly changing back and forth every week.
Probably the most practical consideration was Praetoria. If all three markets were separate then the Praetoria market would be totally worthless.
Ditto for the influence/infamy/information equivalence. It's just not practical to 'escrow' that.
So it didn't make sense to keep the markets separate from a practical, role-playing, economic, logic or customer satisfaction standpoint.
Once we started down the road of switching alignment, a market merge was inevitable. Too many players would have changed alignment for economic reasons.

1. only rolled up 1-4 Praetorians to check it out as opposed to the 24 I have rolled. I am completely willing to start new characters there until I get bored with it.
2. Crossed over all but 1 villain per SG to hero side. Instead only 3 are crossing over (so far).
3. Crossed over no heroes unless it was to replace a villain so he could move hero side. Instead 4 are crossing over (so far).
So I say good job to them on this.

I didn't see DOOOOM coming, but I feared it anyway. I didn't see a LOT of things coming that were obvious to other people, or obvious after the fact...
Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.
So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
Real doom (though it would be kind of funny in a way) would be if the dev's started sneaking level 51,52, and 53 io recipes into the drop mix. 2 billion inf for a level 52 Trap of the Hunter!
I'd be stunned, but i would still laugh (since the inf cap isnt what it used to be.. (at least attaining it isnt...)
Currently Playing:
A bunch of toons! (Freedom, Virtue, and a few on Infinity)
Fortunately I'm currently hiding my money in 10-stacks of bids at 100 million, on things that cost way more than 100 million.
Bring it, say I.

10x 100m on every level range of this and that..

By the way
Posi -1
War Witch +1
I think Posi needs to clean the schmutz off of his crystal ball.
-Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. - Albert Einstein.
-I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. - Galileo Galilei
-When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty. - Thomas Jefferson
So, the Devs looked into their crystal balls and saw a doom if they merged the markets, anyone know what they saw?
The more people I meet, the more I'm beginning to root for the zombies.
