Is nobody Vendoring anymore?
I got my start scavenging vendor trash for pennies! I recommend it all the time to people in need of some quick Inf for DO's.
Honestly, I delete anything not worth my time listing.
I'm not surprised, Chaos_Creator. Like I said, for many, this just isn't worth thier time. Obviously you've moved onto greener pastures. Heck, with many of the Market locations being so very close to stores, (KR and Port Oakes come to mind first, but AP and St. Martial as well), it seems like there's plenty of free money just laying there for the taking.
The problem is, those of us that aren't Ebil have very little understanding of all this 'Easy Money' you marketeers talk about.
Thankfully I've got 50's and glemail now to bankroll my alts.
Most people forget that you can sell drops at vendors. Others list everything that drops for 1 inf just to get the badges.
Then we have the majority of players, who don't realize all the nuances when it comes to the market. These are the 'Buy it Nao' crowd.
I noticed when I went to list my junk commons that even at 1inf (needed more slots on the lowbie) nothing was selling. Nothing.
That's when I noticed the 0 bids.
My 1st thought was it had to be bugged...
Shortly after, I realized a fortune was there for the taking. With nothing more than a few simple transactions and some running to the nearby clockwork vendor. But I'd already transferred a few million to that alt so I didn't invest the time.
But yeah, we need someone in game spreading the word so the
'forest floor' can be cleaned some.

Don't forget, you've now got all the villains who listed stuff piled in with all the heroes who listed stuff. The rate of "junk" accumulation is higher than it used to be, especially from a villain perspective.
I market everything for the badges. When I have all the volume badges, I'll probably just delete my salvage.
I certainly am not worried about making a profit selling stuff I market for badges. But I'm also at the point that I am not worried about keeping all my market slots busy making me a profit. There's just no need for that either, so tying up my slots selling junk doesn't bother me, as long as it doesn't sit for days, and none of it ever does the way I price it.
That said, I actually pay attention to the "real" price floors and tend to list junk a little above them, because I'd rather sell to someone who's putting in a "real" bid, even if it's still a pittance. The idea there is that folks who do that are usually not the ones who'll just go vendor the item after they buy it. I don't care a lot, but I have a vague preference that people who buy my salvage in particular actually craft something with it.

I think part of the problem is that it really isn't worth ANYONE's time to buy cheap salvage/recipes, hike over to a vendor and sell it. If you use the market, there are a lot easier and faster ways to make more money. If you don't use the market, then just gleemail yourself the money you need.
That said, I'll often buy a few hundred common salvage off the market and just delete them. Costs me almost nothing, and helps reduce the supply a tiny bit.
Ooh, a sarcasm detector. Oh, that's a *real* useful invention. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technolog...t-sarcasm.html
Well stop that right now!
I can't speak for everyone, but shortly after the market merge & GoRo, I started to market just about everything to see if demand had gone up on some of the garbage (new players and all that).
FYI, demand did not go up. The Hero/Villain merits have had more of an impact. At least I didn't invest in this "scheme"!
I used to buy alot of those low level IO sets that granted small recovery bonuses to help ease the burden of not having Stamina. Sets like Kismet, Brusing Blow, Razzle Dazzle, low level Impervium Armor's, Cleaving Blow, or Paralytic. Now that the Fitness pool is becoming inherent, personally most of these sets lose value. They were scarce before, imagine post i19? I think they'll be less profitable.
I don't usually list low level sets either because most just aren't worth the auction slot or the wait for it to sell for small profits.
If I'm busy and my salvage/recipe bag is filling up, I delete what isn't worth listing. If I get to a stopping point and I have a bunch of junk, I'll vendor junk recipes and list all the salvage at 1 inf because I know it will sell pretty quickly, and someone will be happy to get it cheap. I do all my real marketeering on characters that I don't actually play anymore, so the ones that are finding junk usually have the market slots to spare.
Funny thing is, I think if I were keeping track, I'm probably coming out ahead by listing all my common and uncommon salvage at 1 inf than I would be by vendoring it. Just a guess though. I don't do it to make money (because really there is no difference to me between 1 inf and 1000 inf), I do it to make somebody happy that they got a deal.

I went to dump some stuff on the Market today, and noticed quite a few of my "Vendor Trash" items (off-brand Set Recipes, Common Salvage and misc.) were going to be competing with other unwanted items in the bin under "Zero Bidding, Hundreds or thousands for sale"
Does the ecosystem need some more scavengers to clear the debris from the forest floor?
For most Marketeers, this isn't worth thier time, since it's slow and tedious. But for the new player, it's free money for Zero risk and very little knowledge needed.
