  1. I have a dark/kin, havent played it in a while. I originally made it for the LRSF. that was its only use. Pre-IO system

now its a mish mosh of IOs, and Hami-Os.

the main problem I have with it is the dark primary.. Its death by 1000 paper cuts. it just takes too long to kill stuff. it does way better at killing 30 minions at once than it does against a single boss.

I am going to revisit it soon and do all the incarnate stuff along with a proper IO build with an eye toward solo play.

all that aside, it is a fun combo, you should give it a try
  2. I had my hotfeet proc'd out on my fire/psi dom, but from my experience things died faster than the time for the procs to fire. there have been many posts on the forums about this and hands down slotting for pure damage is better than proc'ing

mine is now slotted with tempered readiness for slow damage, and then I picked up the tier 3 alpha musculature. which maxes me out on damage.

I have neve been happier with the results. if I was not using the musculature alpha, I would have slotted a pure damage set.

God, I hope not. I love my perma granite toons.

and my suggestion makes it easier for the casual gamer, not more complicated. I don't understand why this would be a difficult thing for some to get.

Personally, I think Threads should be free to downgrade into shards, and the shard->thread transfer should also be free, but keeping the 1:1 every 20 hours, and the rest of the time being 10:5
    hits nail on head.
  6. like the title says, allow us to downgrade threads into shards, so that the alpha slot can be earned and upgraded by running trials, instead of WST and ITF farms
  7. my fire/psi perma dom is brutally effective at locking down the spawns of convicts, with one exception. my recharge is so high (205%), that because of sever side lag i never know what power is ready to use.

my fire cages recharge in a tad less than 2 seconds, and I have had it take up to 10 seconds to become usable again after the icon has refreshed. the same thing happens with all my powers, so I hear the "this power is not ready" sound alot durring that phase. once that phase is over everything goes back to normal.

I have a plant thorn that is close to perma, but hav not runn it on trials yet, I think I might soon though
  8. if you running ultra mode, turn off the water effects and see if the problem goes away

It benefits you until your powers have refreshed in your tray, but not by the server's time, so, you click on buttons that do nothing at the moment, or, you move so far that the servers say, "I really don't think so, so, I'm moving you back *here*" and you rubberband.
I loathe server side lag on my Perma dom. I have a 205% global recharge before any external buffs are applied. Durring the escape phase of the BAF server side lag goes through the roof which causes my normal 2 second recharge powers to sometimes actually take up to 10 seconds to work again, even though the icon is no longer grayed out. hero stats has confirmed some of my longer recharge powers taking up to 50% longer to recharge even though once again the icon show ready it really sucks when every power in my chain gives me the not ready sound, and all are lit up

    EM/ Brutes?

I still play my em/stone, only because it was I/O'd out before the nerf. its got tier 4 spritiual core paragon alpha and works well for me.

shouldn't work since final boss AV's in SF/TF are hard coded to be AV, unlike story final bosses in story arcs, that can scale
  12. I am having the same problem, with my radeon 5870. only occurs on one of my characters (my em/stone brute). I read somewhere on the forums that if you have your graphics settings set to full ultra and you have the television as a contact that it would cause frequent crashes only when accessing the contacts list.

that is the only toon it happens to, and also the only toon with the tv as a contact
  13. I have yet to craft any of the interface powers on my AOE heavy Dom, for fear of wasting threads. One of my in-game friends told me he had slotted the one with -res and it did not work with AOEs. Is this true just for that particular one, or is it that way with all the interface powers.

The wording "Most damaging attacks" kind of throws me in the descriptions

It was very frustrating, to fail not because of lack of effort, but because people would not listen to instructions.
  15. Talk about your double dipping, that's disgusting. they might as well just pass around the same spoon.
  16. I wasn't really looking at it as a whole new system but rather a click button to skip power selection and just allow you to pull 10 enhancements down to the tray and be done. still burns a respec so it wouldn't be anything other than a QOL upgrade for the player. The devs even stand to make some more of our cash if they charge for it as a specific option outside of a standard respec

To completely strip an IOd toon down it cost something like 10 respecs, at $10 a pop from the store thats $100, which is kinda steep, but if they would sell them at $5 each that would be $50 and I bet folks would pay $50 to strip down an obsolete toon to get all thier IOs back.

the only difference is the $5 version does not allow you to change any power selections
  17. how about the devs modify the respec system to allow us to pull out 10 enhancements out of a build without changing any slots, replacing any powers, or screwing up the power trays.

it could either be an option in an earned or freespec that would still cost the same as if you had done a complete respec, or a pay to use feature that cost 1/2 ($4.99)of a puchased respec at the store.
  18. even though I do not have an EU account the very last line of the FAQ got me thinking

    Quote:
    • No need to update 2 different sets of clients now if you have a North American and a European account.
if someone has both an EU and an NA account under the same master account, shouldn't they offer an option to merge the 2 accounts since one of the accounts would become redundant?

    seems only fair.
  19. I had a similar problem creating a HEAT, I had several lvl 20+ heros no 50s but none had leveled since the change from 50 to 20 was put in the game. I got on the character that was closest to leveling and ran a few missions and when it leveled up they unlocked

actually stealth gives you less defence than maneuvers if you are attacking.

in mids go to options-configuration click on the effects and maths tab, and check attacking in the box on the right side

since tankers are even better at damage mitigation than brutes, i cant see it performing any worse, and Like I said

my toon plays in "GOD mode"

here is War-nuggets interpretation of my build, with some changes of my own, I prefer tp foe to pull when I encounter large groups that do psi dmg and you cant go wrong with the +recharge proc in whirling axe, it will really help with granites inherent -recharge debuff

if I were to build this toon, this is the way I would do it sans any purple sets

  23. this is my em/stone brute, you should be able to get an idea for ,in my opinion, the best slotting of stone armor.

This is GOD mode, my health is just a few points shy of 3000 when I use earths embrace, my regen is in the 70s per second and I do not run out of endurance ever, even with multiple sappers hitting me at the same time.

  24. also you will not be able to get any higher than about 86-87. I have only seen mine get to 87 once on my em/stone with a constant stream of both incoming and outgoing attacks 86 happens rarely and 84-85 is the norm.
