I've been reading over this thread, and it all looks like good stuff, but I'm not sure I quite understand yet what I should pick to get the highest possible Damage and Heal, with a secondary focus on accuracy. My DM/Regen scrapper has plenty of Recharge from set bonuses, and endurance is never an issue.

2 Nuc HO's , dam IO (or Heca dam IO) , and 3 heal IO's

simple if that's all your concerned about
  2. Morbid Star

    Perma Hasten ?

dont forget you need to account for it's actual activation time as'well as make sure you give it a chance to re'pop in your attack chain (it needs that momentary time to register, which it wont get if your constantly que'in one attack after another when it's recharged) so you'll want a'bit of breathing room in there, especially if it recharges just after a long attack animation just started
  3. here's a build that offers soft cap'd def, medicine pool, a travel power, keeps your sweet GSF-C set in tactics aswell as your sweet frankenslot sets in health, and only ONE 5/6 purple set, ... it removes the useless boxing power as it doesn't require the fighting pool, and also offers the conserve power option for really long fights and sapper types ect..., it sacrifices a lot of AOE potential, but that's not what your looking for in AV solo'ist builds, you want the ST damage, it also keeps access to the Attack Vitals combo as well as a decent amount of procs to diversify damage to those AV's resistant to your primary lethal

i was thinking the exact same thing
  5. with the whole troller comment, i'm guessing your not use to the scrapper forums, that and you actually listed EB in your title as'well. EB's are of no concern to scrappers as they are for squishies. they are just a tougher boss, and are simple even with a basic DO sloted scrapper, as long as you know the basics ... like not skipping your mez protection and such.

the challenge here is toward AV's , Object's (Pylon's), ect... and maybe even M's and GM's if your truely insane...

as the others have stated already, if your not going with DM, which is actually the best choice with all its utilities and and exotic damage. then you will want to get the medicine pool for a self heal. i'm assumeing you dont want to be reliant on haveing all the insp's you need all the time. if that'd be the case then any scrap would do (except spines, they're too AOE focused and can't do the ST dam you need for most AV'ish type challenge, but they are the best for farming).
also you'll want to focus toward the defensive aspects of protection, with an emphasis on positional (especially melee).
other than that, just need a good solid attack chain.
  6. Morbid Star

    Going Rogue?

main thing i'd like to know is what will happen with Hero and Villain SG's ???
  7. an easy way to do this is to offer one person the free merits if they'll be on for a while, and get the rest of the fillers you need, start it, then kick all but that one person, that one person can then log onto another toon and play, and you send them a tell when you are at the last mission about to finish the TF, they can then log that toon back on and collect the merits and badge... you'd be surprised at how many people will gladly do this
  8. Morbid Star

    Another one...

if your going to go with ImpArm, your better off 4sloting them for the max end boost,
the GotA i'd change the def/rech with the def/+run, same def value with auto bonus of run speed,
BU i'd switch to the rech and rech/endred, the to hit isnt a prime concern especially with your global acc bonus from sets,
and i'd switch the the HO in swift with a stealth unique to go with your CoD, cuz stealth+stealth=invis, ...
if your looking for where to get the slots from, i'd grab 'em out of boxing, since it's for the most part, a useless attack you'll rarely ever use...
  9. [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
your weave and tough are going to be bleeding blue bar with no endred

    [/ QUOTE ]

Duh didn't see the weave part but who says he will be running tough, to me it looks like he just took it to get to weave and slot the +3 def in it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

yeah, that's why i stated it as weave and tough and not as the progressionary tough and weave, but weather or not they toggle on tough, my guess would be that they would have weave toggled on all the time, and occasionally toggle on tough for certain AV's, and as they are sloted, will both or one or the other will still be bleeding blue bar...

on a side note, i dont see anywhere that the OP defines either themself or the toon in question as a male
  10. your weave and tough are going to be bleeding blue bar with no endred
  11. Morbid Star

    Another one...

your going to be constantly bleeding blue bar som'thin fierce with that build, your forgeting one of the prime requirements for survival, you need enough endurance recovey / endurance reduction costs, to maintain all the toggles and still attack... kind'a hard to survive when all your toggles keep droping
you have no end red in weave; and close to none in death shroud, quills, spine burst, ripper, throw spines, cloak of darkness, and cloak of fear.
your dark regen should focus more on end red with recharge and acc, heal isnt really needed in it. (i'd suggest also adding the theft of essence +end proc)
you'd also be better off geting 'bout 2 -KB IO's and droping acrobatics.
also murky cloud is taken a'bit late.
  12. personally, what i'd like to see...

combine OG and CoF into one power, make soul transfer the tier 8 power, and give DA a "REAL" TIER 9 power that doesnt require you to DIE first, like "Living Shadow" or som'thin, maybe where you become untouchable for a limited amount of time but still able to attack, being in untouchable i'd say a very minimal time frame like MoG, but make that the current cloak of darkness grafix and change the CoD to something where every DA isn't just a dust ball... but i'm open to other thoughts for a real tier 9 for DA, i just think the Living Shadow thing just fits it soo well both thematically and power based-wise
  13. Need a way to remove standard ears when adding special ears (such as cat, bunny, wild cat, ect...). Most people do not want 4 ears, and it detracts from the theme of the charractor. jay is sexy
  14. well i know SR can get 95% def debuff resist pretty easy, and Mid's isn't very proficient in this area...

so i'm wondering if it's possible with SD and if not how close?

also i've noticed that alot of builds seem to be sloting HO's in Active Def (the mez protection click) and i know that Act Def offers some of the def debuff resist, but it's only standard sloting of endred and/or rech, does this improve the def debuff resist values with HO's of a def buff orientation? and also are it's values stackable with itself at all ?
  15. well dont forget that acrobatics also grants hold PROTECTION
  16. well from the sounds of it, your wanting an AV solo'ist ... of your listed ones, spines is the worst choice for AV solo'ing, but the best choice for farming... i would go with your DM/SD for the final build goal for that, it's harder to attain the magic # of 45% than an SR but the utilities in DM give it the heal and the -tohit to stack on the def based SD plus the end recovery, plus SD also has one of the kewlest AoE attack in the game to help make up for DM's lack of AoE, but as such DM dominates the ST genre with its exotic damage type aswell, which will be your main focus when solo'ing AV's...

as for where to find info, paragonwiki is great and you will want to get Mid's Hero & Villain Designer (i'm sure someone will post the links)

low lvl AV's can be found in Faultline's story-line starting with Jim, aswell as a few odd others all arround Paragon

as far as market help goes, just keep playing and you'll get drop's that will fund you by selling at WW, when you hit lvl 12 upgrade to DO's and at 22 upgrade to SO's, you shouldnt really worry too much about IO's till late game, except for a few unique exceptions, such as the steadfast protection Unique IO of res/+3 def and such for example
  17. it really depends on how/and what you plan your build arround, as runing both for a scrap isn't really productive (but extremely effective for a tanker)

if your designing your build more defenceively oriented then CoF would be the better choice with its innate -tohit component, but you need to realize that it will require alot more sloting that OG, its standard accuracy is lowered and requires alot more end management, but also yields some very nice sets in fear

if your build is really tight with not many slots to throw arround or if your constantly bleeding endurance then you'll want to go with OG, too many people are put off by the text about the self damage, where in all actuality it's extremely negligable, if your worryed about it at all after seeing it in action when surrounded by effected minions, a simple unsloted health will still yield a HP Gain over it, of which should be in every Build IMHO especially since you'll want stamina, also the chance for immobilize proc from the one stun set (lvl 30'ish if i recall) will work wonders with wonder'ers
  18. regens rely on only themself for survival, wp has to rely on outside conditions for their survival ...

regens are more active while wp is more passive

regen is as it states it is, it regens any and all types of damage, doesn't matter what type it is, it can hit the HP cap with very little effort and can hit regen levels that wp can only dream of, it matures the earliest and needs very little to no downtime even at the earliest lvl's, it gains minor resists to the most common damage types and has several active self heals at its disposal, one of which boosts their HP to near tanker levels, it is very self sufficient with an active play style

wp has a mix bag in its surviveability, it can hit very decent levels of regen but only when surrounded by hostiles, which in and of itself is a double edged sword, it gains abit of resists and +HP as'well as some damage type defence, but lacks any type of active heal power, in short, it's kind'a like a jack-of-all-trades and master of none, it is more passive play style friendly

Well I was just referring to saying that having a Shivan for a Scrapper is like having Pets for an MM.

    [/ QUOTE ]

no, it's not. a petless mm has NO chance of soloing a damned thing. flawed analogy is flawed.

    [/ QUOTE ]

i've seen videos of petless MM's soloing AV's, so it is possible
  20. well first off, you need to be more specific about what your end result goals are ... is this for PvP?, PvE?, Farming?, Teaming?, Soloing?, TF's?, Exemping?, ect... what is it you want from it ?
  21. ahhh, thanx ... just what i was looking for, much appreciated
  22. o'kay i know the ideal DPS chain is...
Smite / Siphon Life / Smite / Midnight Grasp /...repeat
exactly how much recharge am i looking for in each to have this run seemlessly ?
  23. well if your going to bother mentioning ones like BFF and such, should also mention BF = BoyFriend and GF = GirlFriend

    also
LCtMS = Lost Connection to Mapserver
    DC = Disconected
    LD = Link Dead
    AoE = Area of Effect

tons of others that aren't listed i'm sure
  24. so is anything being done to rectify the nerf by proxy effect on power sets such as cold domination, ice melee, ice blast, ect... who's MAIN form of midigation IS -recharge debuff ???
