Manoa, I wish you the best in wherever your life takes you. In my time here with the community I've grown to enjoy every post preceded by your silhouetted hula dancing avatar and you will be sorely missed.

The economy is indeed in a rough spot right now for many people and I hope that things smooth out for you and return to a place where you don't feel the need to temporarily refrain from doing what you love.

If you do decide you must go, we'll try and keep the forums warm (but not too warm ) for your much hoped for return.

I'd like it if this idea were to work, but it immediately became a matter of direct personal attacks beyond trash talking. Sorry.

Posts which break the Message Forum Rules and Guidelines are modded. There are plenty of posts that disagree with our decisions or stances on various matters(which don't violate the rules) which are left up. This thread breaks the rules, hence it is locked.

I had hoped that this thread would somehow manage to avoid a violation of the Message Forum Guidelines, specifically rule #4. This does not appear possible as the vast majority of posts in this thread discuss CS activities and moderator activities.

If you wish to discuss this please feel to PM me, but otherwise this subject is not suitable for the open boards as it cannot do anything but lead to violation of the Message Forum Rules and Guidelines. I have the greatest sympathy for anyone who had action taken against them in error, however that is a subject to take up with CS and not with the open forums.

Please don't cross post, every time you cross post a hellion mugs some lady for her purse. Think of the civilians.

Any numbers you have not seen the methodology on should be taken with a grain of salt. For example PC games are regularly shown to be a rather niche market. This makes a lot more sense when you completely exclude the more diverse revenue streams that PC games have and simply go by retail box sales.

Now add in electronic distribution (heard of this little thing called steam anyone?) and MMO subscriptions and you have a much more robust sales model. These figures are almost never included in PC gaming numbers because it's not the traditional sales model and because these numbers are not regularly provided to the press.

But the true (albeit invisible) 900 pound gorilla in the room in my opinion is the free to play games. Advertising pays for all their costs and generates nobody knows what kind of cash. My soon to be stepdaughter can pull up and navigate the games at nick jr. by herself without being able to read. Thats an amazing new market and a new way to establish a presence with customers. And let's not talk about all the games on social networking sites like Mafia Wars.

PC games? I'm leaning towards much larger than the console market.

These were characters on 3 different servers, ranging from low to high pop, and at a variety of levels. There are teams out there they just might take a bit longer to find, and you can make good experience. I use server specific channels quite a bit as it makes finding people much easier, but don't limit yourself to any one strategy.

Video games are considered by some to be pretty dorky. I like video games Ergo I am a dork to some.

That being said, Every post in that massive thread is getting read (I spend hours ever day on that exact topic, and NCSoft is paying me to do so). One of the reasons to direct conversation to that thread is to ensure visibility of people's feelings on this subject.

The best bet when you are unsatisfied with any customer service issue (regardless of it being CoH or your cell phone service) is always to bump things up the chain. Lower level CS employees are pretty much obligated to be somewhat conservative in their decision making, whereas higher level employees have a bit more latitude in their choices.

Without playing your arc I cannot comment too deeply, but I can see reasoning behind pulling it (the heroes are engaged in battling against members of a minority group). You yourself noted when you published this story that you would not be surprised if the Customer Service department became involved at some point. I'd recommend pursuing the matter with them as ultimately they must make the decision in this matter.

I'd recommend using the term Native American rather than Indian. It's not one I'm super fond of either, but it'll be the most acceptable to the most people in my opinion.

To clarify,

The wings and bolero are mutually exclusive for any new costumes.

Characters with this existing combination can go to tailors, but any edits to that costume slot will result in one of the items being removed.
