I think the feeling goes both ways here. You are a genuinely kind and delightful person to hang around with. Your BF is a GREAT drinking partner! If you leave, you must know that you will be sorely missed. If you are not at HeroCon, then HeroCon is not really a HeroCon then is it? You contribution to the community and your efforts at the meet and greet and HeroCon we cherished by all who were there.
IF you do leave, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure there is some way for us to contact you after you go. I still think M&Gs are a great idea and its never bad to have too many friends, and you know you have one with me. I truly hope you stay, I understand this is a dark time for the game, and to be honest, work has kept me out of the loop, but I heard there was a ruckus about AE and other stuff over here. But I hope that your financial situation improves for sure. If you do leave, I hope you return once we get all those moronic state politicians out of Sacramento and actually elect humans.... Don't get me started... But please, keep the lines of communication fluid and if you ever need help with stuff, you know where to find me.

So I guess even those that don't post who only read, like me when i first started playing, you are noticed and liked. Thanks all! No worries about me quite yet! I'm lucky that I had a feeling in my gut at the beginning of the year that '09 was likely going to be a rough year and have been saving up for awhile. So I'm luckier than most in that I do still have a job and am not in any particular hardship quite yet. But I had no clue how incredibly rough things would be at work and and getting that feeling in my gut again that I should go further into survival mode and buckle down more in case things get worse. There have been some reports that the real estate market and general economy may be bottoming out and/or showing some small signs of recovery. So *hopefully* things may get better soon. But at the same time, I'm taking all that with a grain of salt...I mean, they were saying around this time last year that the mortgage crisis would probably be over by late '08/early '09! And we all saw how *that* turned out! 
I posted my contact infos in the another thread, but it's appropriate to post here as well. I've been growing more addicted to Crackbo...er, I mean Facebook and can be found there by searching for silverystar7(at)yahoo.com. I can be easily reached by that same e-mail address. If you contact me and I like ya enough, I may even let you in on my super sekrit for realz e-mail address! I have a MySpace account that I posted in the other thead as well, but I hardly ever check that account...much easier to find me on Facebook or via e-mails.
And trem...just remember that I'm not all that far from the SF Bay. Even if I'm not a current player at the time the next HeroCon rolls around, it doesn't mean I still can't drop by to be a COH groupie and hang out in the lobby! (so, who's going to smuggle food out of the awesome buffet for the Manoa??)

You know watching the Scions dwindle down as different friends have left for various reasons has been a little heartbreaking.
I just want to say, thanks for the introduction on the boards over two years ago, the invite into TA, getting yourself a forum sidekick that turned into my pretty cool RL boyfriend, and all the teams over the last couple years.
As you said, too many heartbreaking choices are going on right now. Know that as hard as it is to see you go i fully understand/support you doing what you think is best for the future, and i hope things do turn around. I will try to keep the base in good repair. Hopefully you'll get to come back and see it before too long!

Been wanting to post this for a couple days now, but was holding off until things to calmed down a little bit. Things seem to be a bit calmer and I'd rather not hold off this post any longer than I have to.
I understand the community is likely getting tired of the rash of goodbye threads that have been popping up on the Justice forum over the last couple days. However, I have been approached in-game and elsewhere in cyberspace regarding the possibility of my departure from the City of Heroes community and which to set the record straight on what exactly is gong on.
The short answer yes and no.
I have indeed unsubbed my annual account. My account expires on July 17th and I am currently in the process of debating whether or not to continue my account on a monthly basis. As many in the Justice community know, I work as a commercial real estate appraiser. With the economy in its current state, it is a *very* difficult time to be an appraiser. The real estate market, particularly in California, is in the toilet. The market in California has been on the decline for awhile now, but things has really have taken a nosedive since the stock market issues surfaced at the beginning of Q4 2008. As a result, that the credit markets have frozen up. This is particularly worrisome for appraisers who do a lot of third-party appraisal work for banks, as frozen credit markets mean the flow of credit has come to a standstill and has resulted in far less appraisal work to be done. Its very, very scary and stressful time in the appraisal world right now.
I count my blessings that I am at least still employed and am not yet broke. But all this has me in conservation mode to prepare for the very real possibility that my income may dip further or may end up without a job altogether. As such, Im seriously analyzing each and every expenditure to prepare for a worst case scenario.
Ive been quietly pondering the possibility of leaving COH for a couple weeks now and as of yet, I have not yet made my final decision whether I will be staying or going. I assure the Justice community that my current disappointment regarding some of the stuff that has occurred over the past week is not the primary reason I am contemplating leaving COH. I assure you that this is not threat or ultimatum towards NCSoft, Paragon Studios or the COH community to change their ways or else Ill leave. My decision honestly hinges on how things shake out between now and July 17th though I will admit that should my disappointment last until then, it will make a tough decision a little more easy to swallow.
