The point in being a villain? You mean..do what I want, regardless, take from people I dont like, hurt people I dislike, try to get more power myself?
Hmmmm that sounds a LOT like a villain choosing to bump off mal and darrin, and hog the credit myself, killing the people I dislike, who are clearly just using me for their own ends. Yep..sounds plenty villainous to me. -
Um...I dont think you were paying attention. It WOULD have been a good idea, right then. Because she IS the most powerful psychic around, much stronger than Mal, and at that time, her mind was NOT weakened by the dirge. So yeah, smart guy, it would have been a GREAT idea to read his mind right then and see what the plan was.

I agree with this..redraw, while being thematic, is a pain. Really, I totally get that we need to put our katana, rifle, axe, pistols, somewhere. BUT..considering there are zero costume options for a scabbard, sheath, holster, quiver, what is the point?
Oh I am a 'natural' hero, with a sword! It is SO natural, I keep it hidden..internally.
Me and a friend were talking about this a few days back. We both have fire melee scrappers and /Earth doms. Both sets are great fun, and part of this (especially fire being one of teh best for dps) is that they are weapon sets..that have ZERO redraw. You click the power, and your weapon appears, bang, right away. Even going between the 2 mallets, there is no dely at all.
Makes even less sense on say..my Kat/Sr scrapper. Oh look, I can dodge bullets..but I cant just..hold onto my sword while I do this little buff flex for my mez click? Same with many many other sets.
I think combining the animations would be cool. How about a longer duration for the 'combat stance' (that is, weapons out). Say a dp/rad corr..you drop both toggles on a mob, draw your pistols (instantly btw) fire a few times, reapply your toggles..WITH the pistols still in your hands. Seriously, if you can make radiation appear (or whatever) by waving your hand, why cant you wave said hand while holding a gun?
If such a big deal is going into powers when they are designed, in regard to their dps, animation time etc etc..then surely a combo like kat/sr in which there IS going to be redraw, the damage of the powers should go up to compensate? Same with every weapon set that has TIMED redraw, as opposed to the instant redraw in some sets. -
I agree with you Sam. Funny part for me is that while playing the arcs as a Villain, in 3-5, I wanted to STOP being a villain and kill Malaise and Darrin myself, cause they are dicks too.
Worst bit fro me was the Cutscene at teh end of Part 3, where Mal tells Sis to read his mind..to find out what is going to happen. And she says NO. Wtf. cahnce to find out the devious plot..no, I wont use my super powers and instead rely on teh good will of the guy trying to KILL me. Genius -
Shields totally do add to your defence, stands to reason really. The bigger the shield is, the more defence you get from it. Things like the fire shield, add fire defence, dark shield gives dark defence.
Other things work similar. Using the Flak Jacket gives extra lethal resist, rocket boots add jumping and fly speed. -
It is my opinion. Opinions are never wrong. The facts in those opinions may or may not be. Fact is, Icey Assault IS crap damage. Fact is, I did not mention or compare it to fire at all.
Also, considering, as mentioned, I did say it was crap damage, is there any point at all in also saying it is worse than fire, as you say above? ..it would be pretty obvious that the words 'crap damage' would put it below fire. -
To everything genius. Just saying something has bad damage does not add in some subliminal comparison to Fire. Just about everyone KNOWS fire does the most damage, in almost every set, because that is the secondary effect.

I have a perma Mind/Icry dom. Flat out, Icey Assault sucks. Slows, when a mob is already feared, sleeping, held, confused? Does not help at all.
As for the damage..its woeful. Just woeful. When dom attacks got adjusted awhile back, nearly all the Icey attacks went DOWN in damage...in spite of already being one of the weakest sets. It is seriously bad.
In fact, it is SO bad, I have the force epic, just for Energy Transfer, so I can actually do some damage. -
Great idea! Lets make aoe nukes with huge damage and a decent recharge, ALL autohit? Umm..pants off head please?

Going for Flambeaux. At 50, she is pretty nasty (and has a nemesis clone of herself). Also, next time you see Fusionette fighting at 50 in a mission, watch her blue bar. She flatlines after about 3 seconds. No stamina that girl

Of course it would be frustrating in Ion 'could' miss the first target, and deny you any. But is that reason enough to make arguably the best and easiest Judgement to use, Autohit? Would it still be worth taking if it could miss that first target? Totally. Shouldnt the chain jumps at least have a to hit?
It is basically making sure 100 will hit Max targets in range, all the time, every time. None of the others can. -
All the other Judgement powers 100% can and DO miss. I have seen them all do it..and it you hit a typical baf/lam/ug mob with one, it is pretty common to see at least one Miss. But..Ion cant miss? Ever?
Another thing..maybe in pve it isnt 'so' bad...but it is exactly the same in pvp. Ion will NOT miss. Now, of course people say lolpvp...but, an auto hit chain nuke in pvp isnt broken? Just ask an MM. -
I was messing about in talos, nuking random mobs with my Ion Judgement and noticed this..

Does not seem right. So I made sure all the damage, combat, to hit texts were in my tab, and went and hit TWO minions together with it.

Ion Core Judgement: HIT Warrior Slicer! Your Ion Core Judgement power is autohit.
So...the first blast is autohit, THEN the jumps are too?? Is this how it actually works? More to the point, if so, how is that balanced, considering the huge range and spread of the power. -
Longbow bosses need something similar to Tsoo. All the tsoo bosses look very unique and obvious, but there is no way to know what a Warden is till you fight it.

CoT for sure. I LIKE the new look cot, but the agony mages look almost exactly the same as the fire casters. Especially in a dark area of a cave.
And while I'm on it..what fool picked PINK as the color of choice for Death Mages? -

3 fire blast toons...3 em blasters, 3 em doms. Apart from that, I like to spread it around, trying not to repeat sets, and never combos of sets.
Totally agree with the Street Justice comment..just blows every other set away for looks and feel. And it kicks butt too. -

Also..I LOVE how it started out (the thread) with Dug saying Veats were not wanted and useless, because no one understands their buffs. But after being roundly shouted down by everyone, he claims that HE knows how great veats can be, but apparently, no one else does, hence, they suck. Ok then. -

There is no way that a scrapper is as useful on a team as a defender or corruptor, unless the defender or cor are incredibly incompetent. I know scrappers do not like to hear that. They like to think that everyone is thrilled when a scrapper joins the team, but in fact they are just filler.
If you disagree with me, list in order the usefulness of AT's on a team. If you say they are all equally useful, you are either delusional or lying.

Team with 7 support ATs. Is that last spot best filled by another support, or a scrapper? Go on..tell me. Scrapper with 7 kinds of buffs and debuffs? Yeah..he wont be doing ANYTHING. -
Blasters get defeated the most? THAT is your argument for giving them a bigger hp cap? The old 'offensive juggernaught, no defences' AT? Oh wait..could it be that they pump out larger amounts of damage, often aoe, and by default..have no way to avoid, resist, or heal from damage? No, no..that wouldn't do it at all! Or perhaps that a good portion of blasters PLAY like nutters? (how else would you play them?)
Again, stop with the 'blasters are at hp cap, and have no benefit.' Every other squishy AT caps out at 1600 hp. Blasters are there already! (with a bit of slotting and accos). Sure, this means Frostwork (you know, the ONLY hp buff in normal play) will not do a lot, at 50. Nevermind that, during the 1-47 (non IOd) progress, FW WILL be nice on them.
So ... the only bad thing about already able to hit the cap at 50 is..those cold dom toons get to use FW on a different team member. Damn it, I want to hog ALL the buffs, even ones that do nothing. -

I know this because I can lead TFs with a blaster, scrapper, PB, even a stalker. carrying the majority of the weight, and always complete the TF in my time estimate.
Also, agree with what Guy said. If a team has heaps of Whatever, varierty will nearly always improve it. -

Of course every team needs damage, but every AT has it. If you have a team of 8 different AT's you have a team with 8 characters that do damage.
It is incredibly rare that anyone asks for or even considers that they need more damage on a team. It is just there.
I should also point out that desirability low does not mean that no one will play with them, but that no one asks for them or is excited to get them. No one ever says "great, we got a scrapper on the team" and means it. They will play with a scrapper on the team, but they were not wanting one.
No teams ASK for more damage? I see a lot of teams do this. Almost every 'other.' You know how it is:
'Team forming in talos, have blaster and scrappers, need meat shield (you know, the meat shields you see as useless).'
and then
'Team forming in talos, has healer and tank, needs damage! (you know, that other thing you think is useless).'
Just as an example...ever done a hami raid? Where EVERY AT has a role? (Khleds being veng bait) Fancy that! It must mean we all get to use our toons that are NOT a troller, archery, or fire blast, because clearly they don't help anywhere else! -
Again..those poor blasters at the hp cap. You know what getting to the cap adds? Hitpoints.
I guess since blasters have only the one Epic Pool hp buff, that really, they need their base HP lowered, so they can take advantage of the cap in the same way that all the other squishy ATs do. Isn't THAT a genius fix.
