what enemy groups need more distinct bosses and/or lts?

I just cannot tell a warrior rank apart by looking at them, especially in a fight.

I have a hard time with hellions as well - the masks are hard to see amidst all of the goings on.

Whereas skulls are a bit more distinct with the black jacket instead of white.

I can sort of see council and sky raiders as military groups not wanting their leaders to stand out - but in a comic book world it seems like they should.

I remember the first time I saw a totem spawn amidst the banished pantheon and thought it was awesome, same with the masks.

Should the bosses for each group be cool? Or should they be sensible?

Longbow; but then, Longbow needs a makeover in general to make them less generic looking. And more than one common* Lieutenant type for that matter; I've suggested before making a Longbow Lieutenant that uses Beam Rifle.

As for bosses; as a rule they should put coolness over sensibility; this is a superhero game after all.


*Technically they have 3 kinds; but Sergeants are low level, and how often do you see Chasers? Normally it's Nullifiers, Nullifiers, Nullifiers.

I think the Council could use a makeover in general. Right now they're just a less interesting 5th Column.

But yeah, I agree some Bosses should stand out more.

CoT for sure. I LIKE the new look cot, but the agony mages look almost exactly the same as the fire casters. Especially in a dark area of a cave.
And while I'm on it..what fool picked PINK as the color of choice for Death Mages?

It's the low level CoT minions I have trouble with these days; they are dark colored enough that they just look sort of like vague lumps in the caves they tend to be found it. I like the Lts and Bosses though.

Am I the ONLY one who thinks the pink meshes well on the Death Mages?

On topic, I'd love to see a lot of the the starter groups get a makeover (hellions, skulls, council/5th, etc.). It's probably inevitable, but I think it's about time.

Longbow bosses need something similar to Tsoo. All the tsoo bosses look very unique and obvious, but there is no way to know what a Warden is till you fight it.

I think that there should be Council and 5th Column models with no helmets, hats or goggles, which cna be used for some of the named bosses - and the same goes for Crey scientitsts, or any other generic Lts./Bosses that have their face covered but are still usesd for named characters, like Paragon Protectors.

Nemesis. I am sick, sick, SICK of those [Pancake] Lieutenants and their multi-stacking vengeance. For a 'Prussian Prince of Automatons' he doesnt have that impressive array of actual automatons. Automaton Lts and Human Bosses are badly needed.

Warriors do indeed suck for distinction. Longbow DEFINITELY need more LTs.
