  1. Was just testing Vigor on Destiny. That is..if the end red would work. It 100% did NOT. So I dont know why cardiac would..or if vigor is just busted.
  2. Have not tested that specific interface..but I think it wont. It seems the only alpha's that work on the other Incarnate stuff is +dam alphas in judgement and +heal for rebirth. Maybe acc and end on judgements too..not certain.

    Given the HUGE boost to rebirth and judgements, it really is dumb that nothing else works. Damage should work on interface dots, -def and acc alphas should buff the others.
  3. This set is such trash. The bonuses are simply rubbish.

    BUT

    I am leveling a Petless Mastermind (yes, I know its stupid) and I was thinking..oh ho, I can slot the set in my whipe attacks and the bonuses will actually be sorta not rubbish.

    NO.

    Can't do that. It only goes in pets. What genius came up with this set? First with the dumb stats in the specific enhancements (all that rech), then with the pretty useless bonuses, and NOW..with not actually being able to slot it into a personal attack?
  4. I'd like to see every AT get a new set for their secondary (in the case of brutes, scrappers, stalkers, blasters, corrs etc) and primary in the case of fenders.

    Especially fenders..I think it is a bit unfair to give them a set that is not primary focused. I think them and..tanks? are the only ones with this. So the sets would cover def/res and end reduction, as well as maybe a new Buff/Debuff stat, that simple lifts (or lowers) whatever buff or debuff that power has.

    Keep going with the theme of 'unique, interesting or new' effects.

    A blaster one that increases the amount of Defiance, say by 25% of the base value, for all attacks.

    A troller one to increase the bonus damage of Containment. Say to 75%. That is..an extra 25% of what it is now.

    Corrs with a higher hp value for Scourge to kick in (as someone else said) or maybe something like..contagious scourge? With the chance to scourge going up depending how the hp of nearby baddies.

    Tankers getting increased aggro limit on taunt auras, ranged taunt, higher target count of bruising.

    I'd love to see a terrorize proc for Scrappers..like the enemies are SO scared of the toon steaming down on them, they tremble in fear! That or perhaps a proc to increase resistance caps by 10, maybe for the duration of tier 9s.

    Brutes..hmmm..maybe something giving a bit of DDR? And also resistance debuff resistance (which is NOT the same as just having resists)

    Masterminds...please, just a set that does not flat out SUCK? Something that actually applies bonus stats to your pets..like giving them more hp or something.

    SoA's...it would be cool if the fear proc actually had GFX like the target was having visions of being swarmed by spiders...or maybe a chance to summon minion class spiderlings? 4 max?

    Khleds..um. Well..something to stop the stupid kb?

    Stalkers..not to sure. Maybe increased chance to fear after an AS.
  5. Wow, TBH..such anger. For someone who just said you 'aren't playing with him anymore' you are certainly still posting a few replies to him.

    Just cause someone does not CALL it an exploit, does not mean it isn't one. Maybe try making your suggestion in a less 'oh noes they nerfed my exploit, gimme a legit way to do the same thing, so I can sleep at night' way.

    How does it work? Is it more fury in that attack..or all of them?
    Also..I read your analysis of the Pylon, and accept it DID help. But, in ordinary bruting, it is dead easy to sit at 80% fury the entire time. Is the extra really that noticeable? Honestly mind you..not just cause its a new shiny. lol

  9. Dress it up how you like Hopeling..its still a dumb place to slot it. Your ST Hold is what you will be leading with most fights..giving maximum benefit from the +dam.
    Even with a low rech on the hold, you WILL be using it more then Smash, and its going off nearly every time.
    Not to mention..in the ST, that means you are getting that sexy set of bonuses from lvl 10 onwards.

    WHY would you slot the AT io is seismic smash?? God, why? Your best damage attack, with a huge end cost and rech, that you want to get down? And you use the proc in it?? WTF
    I can only assume you are not putting the entire set in there...but given the crazy talk, I would not discount it.
    It is an IO set for CONTROLS, clearly. Not damage powers that happen to have a control. Put it in your main hold, so then Seismic Smash GETS the damage bonus. Obviously

    Sis is dead?? Come ON. She was like my favourite. Even if she is sooo whiny on the RSF. Maybe I did not read the brief well enough..but from the vill arc, I sort of missed why she was tripping out. The ritual was dodgy? You mean the totally rare and ancient and SECRET ritual that Akarist was not even sure existed? But, our favourite mastermind, DW, managed to find it, and jimmy up a virus?

    Next..when Manti shoots her. He waits all of..15 seconds, with her saying 'no, it has to be done' and then BANG. Um..way to at least TRY something. Where the hell was Numina..you know..the super magic emp who can REZ people? Yeah..no need to have her on hand, when using a MAGIC ritual.

    I think it was Samuel Tow's thread that talked about how the SSA's paint the FP an incompetent..and number 6 sure seems to be chugging down that same track. No one else even there at the ritual, no one helping you GET the ritual.

    Not expecting some Shakespeare for teh story..but..come on. As Sam said..Darrin seems to just be relying on them being idiots.

    Another minor issue..last map, as a hero is way too long for an escort, especially cot caves.

    Onto the good things.
    The maps, especially redside, are great. Nothing we havent 'seen' before, but all of the little details like chair, lighting, the brass walls in the nem base, totally add to the atmosphere. We really NEED things like this in other missions...like a council paper that LOOKS like it is actually council..not just an office. A few flags and computers about..jobs done. Also, not overdo it in the way that new warehouse map makes everyones PC explode.

    the BEST thing in the SSA's to date is also in part 6. Penny Yin! OMG awesome..let me count the ways:
    Super sexy hold of wtfness. I want. Wicked FX and colors.
    Psi BLADE thingyswhatsits. Stab stab, with your miiind.
    Super charge mind probe clone, but huge range.
    Magic ball of hax and happiness pet that constantly heals.

    Can we has? Please? I want to see City Of Purpleness and Pwnage.

    (Oh, and as GOOD as Penny and her new set is..she was still laid out in seconds by those infamous glue covered torches in Oranbegegagagaga. Can we get rid of the damn things finally?)

  13. Also assume that anyone who asks you to arena, and SAYS it will be fair, is a typical pvp (insert rude words here). If they say it is fair and balanced, odds are, it wont be. As in the situation you talk about.

    You have a good attitude too..correct of you not to except to win, or even not to suck. In this game, unless the fight is between two people with the exact same build and slotting, someone will have an advantage. And those arena idiots love to take advantage of that fact, with things like fighting a toon with no end drain protection on an elec thermal.

    Get groups of friends together, and try out arena that way. Make sure everyone KNOWS before hand it will be informal, and full of clueless people..and do NOT invite random people, as you saw.
  14. The WORST thing about tips is teh huge imbalance between blue and red side.

    Blue side, you can get your tips in say..talos, killing lvl 25s, very fast, and then have ALL but a few specific tips (the phipps one comes to mind) have their mission doors in the zone you are in. It really is nice to be able to go to any zone, or just the one you happen to be in, and select your tips, knowing you wont have to rezone.

    Then...there's redside. I get my tips in Sharkhead, and all but..2? will appear in GV, or PO. Seriously. Is there any logical reason for this besides being a pain in the ***?

    Not disputing your super blaster will do better aoe damage than basically anything.

    However, I really doubt it can be, or will be as survivable as a Brute. You use ss/fire as an example.

    The brute can get the same amount of defence, easily. Most likely more s/l with more melee attacks.
    The brute has all ROUND resists (not to psi obviously) were your blaster will be 53% to JUST smash and lethal.
    The brute has Mez (bar kb, fixed with IOs, just the same as the blaster) protection, something the blaster can NOT got aside for incarnates. And you say you took ageless..so no mez prot at all besides at most, accro.
    The brute has a click heal on a great rech. CLick heal beats regen.
    The brute has at least 400 more hp, or a decent build. Regen doesnt mean much if you get hit for 1800 damage.
    The brute could get to about 50 (sorta guessing) hp per sec regen, which when combined with better resists, is not much of a difference.

    Again..not arguing about the AoE damage. But I really dont think it is anywhere near as survivable. I know that regen alone can frequently go bad..and as soon as you get hit with def debuffs..or mez.
  16. How is it taking a blaster 'that' long to down 3 minions below 10? They have such little hp that they will be dying fast. If anything could account for what you are saying, it is that brutes (some sets) can get their BIG attacks earlier than the blaster can get their big attacks. See Blaze coming in at 18 vs KO blow at 8. That is a HUGE difference.

    I have five blasters..and every one has done just dandy damage all the way to 50..before I slotted anything but generic IOs. I still dont understand how you can claim Blasters dont do their job (that of just damage) anymore..when NOTHING has changed. Most people will not be slotting IO sets till 30 at the earliest...meaning before then there is no difference at all to how it was back in these good old days you speak of.

    Sorry if I somehow read you as saying blasters are meant to be tough, and if it looked like I was arguing with that. What I MEANT was..your claim blasters need hundreds of millions in order to do damage is just false. They DO damage just fine..all the time. IO's only make this better.
  17. Wait, you are saying..that Blasters were DESIGNED to be super tough, when cox first came out? If someone spends a billion on a blaster, and it gets to Level X Survivability..your argument is that the AT is flawed, because it NEEDED a billion to reach level X, when it is patently clear that the AT was NEVER designed to get to that level?

    Makes my head hurt.

    I have blapper blasters I spent like 50 mil on, max, and they STILL pump out the damage and stand out of any team I join.

    How can you claim brutes and scrappers do more damage, from level one onwards?? Blaster attacks will be one shooting stuff till level 10, and still killing faster (in most situations) all the way to 50. It is because..they have HIGHER damage mods. So you know..more damage? (maybe not higher than scrappers, I forget)

    Of course, maybe you are accounting for the fact the blaster is squishy and cant (mostly) just wade in swinging. However, as you say..blasters SHOULD be much weaker defence wise (really agree with you here..I am sick of threads saying fix blasters by giving them defence powers).

    Another thing I just remembered. It was a thread I read when starting the game, talking about the various AT's, corrs in particular. It said..
    "A corr focused on attack powers is nothing but a gimp Blaster, a corr focused on support is nothing but a gimp Defender."

    I think that still applies. You say every other AT can get blaster levels of damage (which I think is utter rubbish in general terms). If the troller/corr/dom/tank is THAT focused on getting more damage, doing damage, constantly attacking..they are just gimping themselves.

    (Unless it is for something totally stupid like a Pylon time trial, where damage is all that matters)
  18. I agree with you THB.
    In fact, if I had one complaint about my Defencey Blaster..it would be that it is too good. And that is not even approaching levels as you mention. I was doing a Cuda TF with him, and the entire time fighting Reichs, with the ambushes (for like..30) mins, I was just bouncing around, and got hit about 3 times. Anyone who had done that tf knows how utterly HUGE the ambushes are.

    Is it fun having a blaster that doesnt get hit while pumping out teh damage? Hell yeah. Do I still love my other blapper blasters, that survive by killing stuff, dead, before it can hurt me? Hell yeah.

    Just because some people die too much on their blasters (not sure what they were expecting, or even DOING) is hardly grounds for complaining about the AT.
  19. I really do not agree with your comment that blasters 'have not evolved.'

    You are talking in regards to just IOs. Yes, a scrapper/brute/tank can become much more survivable, with IOs. They can get insane levels of recharge to pump out more damage. But their damage still wont be (in most cases) that of a blaster.

    In the Blasters case, you can get all that recharge and accuracy, allowing you to pump out more accurate and faster damage. They also benefit the MOST from added defence I feel. Now, as I just said, a brute getting more def to get to soft cap is awesome, no doubt about it, but considering blasters have no def in the first place..you are gaining 'more.' Even the ATs like corrs, doms, trollers etc, who also function great with extra defence, HAD mitigation in the first place, due to the nature of their sets.

    I have just slotted out a blaster with s/l and ranged defence, and the difference in played that toon, to my 'aggressive' slotted blasters is simply staggering. There is simply NO way a blaster before IOs could reach those levels. How is this not evolving?
  20. Also think this would be a good feature for the Trials. I shudder to think how hard it is too get them going on some of the 'deader' servers.
    Even if the, let's call it Event, could be advertised as say..a MO Keyes going for avoids the green (a pretty rare happening even on freedom and virtue) and a person on say..Guardian could see it and join, for the duration obviously.

    Testing out the stalker +hide proc atm..seems super cool. Does anyone know if those kind of ones (the +hide, dam, etc) work via a single 20% chance per use, or if putting them in aoes would give them multiple chances to proc?
