Random is random. *carefully checks date/time stamp on post*... yep I get to bid this time. I'll bid 475.

Thug/bot MM
If I got to mix&match I'd replace the individual attack powers with various controller immobs/confuses and defender/corrupter rains. -
not 100% sure yet, but I suspect my MM won't be needing hasten.

Is there a channel for this group? or a name I can ping for a sgi? - I have a lvl 24 thug/time mm that I'd like to have in this sg if possible
-
no worries at all... I did not see the timestamp there, my bad (too excited about what looked like a really sweet deal there to pay complete attention ... yeah, I'madummeh)

Quote:I see the starting bid has already been placed. I'll bid 500.I have two locked L30 characters who have not yet done "Who Will Die". So I can get 6 (8?) hero merits.
Anyone want to put a bid in on a sealed deck of 30 sight-unseen level 30 rare recipes, to be delivered over the next week? Bidding starts at 450 million.
EDIT: Bidding closes Wednesday night. -
Quote:Yeah, don't worry about that. The 45 second thing is to discharge all of the capacitors in your powersupply to get it to do a full reset. Unplug it, press and *hold* the power button for 45 seconds then plug it back in. It may fix your issue and is a pretty cheap option to tryThing is is when I unplug the power supply the mobo light goes out. When I reconnect the power supply the mobo light comes back on?
-
Try this:
Unplug it, and press and hold the powerbutton for 45seconds. Plug it back in and see if it will power up for you.
If that doesn't work, you're looking at something cooked.
before you go buying parts... open your case and look at the capacitors on your motherboard. They should be smooth cylinders, if the top of them are "blown out" your mobo is cooked. Also make sure all of your expansion cards are seated properly.
My PC did the same to me a couple of months ago. It ends up being cheaper to just buy a new pc & put your hard drive in it as a secondary drive. You could buy a new powersupply find out that it still doesn't turn on, new mobo (new processor, new ram) etc etc. Unless you planned on replacing everything anyway just get new. -
Quote:I've noticed this on beam rifle too, but not cones like fire breath. Is it supposed to be just "weapon" cones that're limited like this?I noticed with many cone type of attacks which include Full Auto for example that the cone attack is not a circular cone as if in a ice cream cone shape but more a flat triangle as your mentioning. Which can and is an issue at times when firing off a cone attack while flying. It would help tons if they allowed the cone in the Z axis as well. Since there is a target limit anyways I really do not see the issue with it.

Exactly how many different powers do you figure the devs should create for each attack? Momentum works perfectly fine the way it is.

Although I'll probably not be able to commit to dedicated availability with this group I'd love to see some all MM stuff and will happily exemp down/sk up with other like minded folk using my Exalted MM. I usually go with 4 runs of DFB with my new characters now a days. They're fast, it puts me into range for starting Posi and gets me all 4 of those nice buffs.

Dunno... I am not a mod but I can play armchair mod with the best of 'em
I think the thread should have been trimmed but not deleted.

Quote:I think he could use the farmer's powerful machine buy simply finding the afk farmer, pop him and then take over the farm. If it works as described upstream, it should be pretty easy to do this... I mean the farmer is afk attacking maniquins it isn't like he'd be able to defend himself. I'm not a pvper by any stretch of the imagination but this would seem to be pretty easy and likely to really tick off the afk farmer for that little ego stroke that pvpers seem to like. *shrug*Oh bull. While it's MORE cumbersome than AFK farming, you could drag alts through tip missions and SSAs for Alignment Merits. It's not as fast, but it's doable.
Also, why CAN'T you AFK farm?
Honestly, I call shenanigans. You may not be able to do it at the same scale as some of the guys with the really POWERFUL computers. But you can likely support at least one alt.
Or are you still running a 2Ghz P4 with 1GB of RAMBUS memory and a GeForce 256? -
Quote:I'd suggest you post your build in the appropriate forum and ask for input.... a DA should be laughing at carnies esp after getting incarnate powers.Gor my TW/DA up to 50 and kitted out -- softcap S/L, theft proc, purples, the good stuff plus T3 Musculature. Getting my butt kicked pretty soundly by +3/+8 carnies and arachnos. The carnies are getting enough mez stacked on me to mez me, and the arachnos chew through me like paper (tarantula bosses stuff my recharge and def into the john).
Not really seeing the strength of the combo. Maybe I'm used to defensive sets like Shield and SR (and even Invuln) where I don't get hit. -
I like it on my corruptor - it was a bit of a struggle to find a secondary to go with it (several re-rolls). I think I've settled on beam/cold now though (if it doesn't work out I'll re-roll for a beam/storm). I tried poison, really did not like it. My beam/trap is parked in the university doing crafting for marketeering... he's not much use to me for anything but.
I did not like it on my blaster... disintegration spread is big aggro for a single-target specialist. I don't mind taking some aggro on a blaster so long as I have the tools to deal with it. Beam has too few AOE's to handle AOE aggro imo.
Haven't tried it on a defender. -
mmmmk... so my stalker light (tw/ea scrapper) has *completely* changed my point of view on the whole stalker thing. I was wrong up-thread and once you have enough attacks to actually be able to keep swinging and hide of course (energy cloak being the stand-in) it does have a similar "in control" feel as my stalkers in a fight.
Rend Armour even looks like an AS. Put me firmly in the "proliferate it nao" camp. -
Quote:So it is mis-named... this isn't a physics courseSee: Laws of friction.
-or-
Try sliding down a dry "slip and slide" sometime.
You get momentum if you hit your tartget, which in physics would reduce momentum and misses would increase it.... but, it is a game and thems the rules of this universe. -
In all fairness... we did get the post for a chain-link with titan weapons
-
Hit with a momentum builder and your next couple of attacks are a pile faster...
-
/unsigned.
Titan weapons are not actually very slow. Momentum builders are faster than attacks like thunderstrike, total focus and is on par with a lot of the attacks in BS, Warmace, battleaxe and then everything after your momentum builder is a whole pile faster. And the damage is *booooooom* big enough -
Frankly, I don't care. I expressed my opinion based on the feel of the set in game. You're welcome to your opinion. I hope I'm entitled to have one that may differ from yours.

There are powers that don't work until you have momentum going. It is kind of like StJ light for a combo mechanism... any attack that hits starts momentum and opens up your other attacks (you don't need to land 3 "subpar" attacks to get a heavy hitter going). It is nothing like the combo system in DB at all.
