TW for me?
TW's mechanic isn't really a combo system. You don't have to press X followed by Y. Any of your powers will grant Momentum (ok, except Follow Through and Whirling Smash, because they can only be used when you already have Momentum), and any of your powers will be sped up by Momentum. It's much less "execute a certain combo, repeat" and much more "you have Momentum, hit them a bunch before it wears off." Plus there's Build Momentum, which lasts twice as long as normal Momentum and removes the need to open with a slow attack.
Ultimately, nobody can say for sure if it's for you, or if you will like it. But I don't think it has much in common with DB/SJ that you disliked.
There are powers that don't work until you have momentum going. It is kind of like StJ light for a combo mechanism... any attack that hits starts momentum and opens up your other attacks (you don't need to land 3 "subpar" attacks to get a heavy hitter going). It is nothing like the combo system in DB at all.
Done deal. This sounds great. Thanks for replies
I still find them both annoying because, ultimately, you must press X followed by Y to get "maximized" benefits.

Hey folks,
Hope all is well.
Just wondering if TW is something i'd like because i am really turned off by it is a "combo" set?
However, I try to keep an open mind, but I say this with much reservation after deleting a 40ish Dual Blades and a 30ish Street Justice toon. Even though Dual Blades and Street Justice combo mechanics are different, I still find them both annoying because, ultimately, you must press X followed by Y to get "maximized" benefits.
I hope Staff Fighting will not be like this.
Thanks in advance.
