Fitness is not required. Aid other isn't really necessary because of the probot's heal, but Aid self might be nice. I wouldn't rely on triage beacon for anything, but that's just me.

So I'm still a little confused. You only get a chance for a drop every 5 minutes or it's once you get one offa a person you can't get another chance for 5 minutes? I used to get one back in the day after about 60 kills off of the same guy; would this be the same or is it now a ton more between drops because of the 5 minute thing? Thanks for the replies

This power doesn't give defense at all, it gives resistance, +maxhp, and +recovery.
This will help you if you're softcapped for those instances when defense just isn't enough. However, its values aren't enormous, so yes it can be skipped. Works for a special recovery power if you don't mind a half crash, and it can be a good set mule. -
You get a lot more damage from your Assault bot, and the proc has a chance of firing for every enemy hit, I believe, so the increased AoE's of the Assault bot make it much better there. Now, if it were thugs, you would want it in the tier 1 pet because the arsonist functions much like the Assault bot and the other minions would get the chance to proc too.

Thugs/traps works too. Softcapping your pets (and maybe yourself) is a good way to survive; use poison trap to get rid of the AV's regen rate and you will have no problem.

Hey, I haven't gone into an arena since they changed the way pvp IO's dropped. Do arena matches have to be rated now for someone to get one of these?

Quote:Thanks Silver. I don't touch defenders ever so I had no idea how that worked.Everyone's pets counts towards vigilance. Teaming with a Plant Controller/Dominator will give you nearly perma -400% end discount because of Carrion Creepers
Quote:I'd recommend getting the Spiderlings anyway, esp. if you are going to invest in +Rchg. -
If you really want to be thorough "Its" should be "It's." Also the comma between "Gods" and the first "and" is unnecessary.

Quote:Hail of Bullets is pbaoe, and the targeted aoe rain can be used from melee. You can easily use it with a pbaoe focused secondary.DP/Fire strikes me as an awkward combination because DP is all cones and ranged, whereas /Fire is mostly melee and PBAoEs. Wouldn't you waste a lot of time jumping into and out of melee to set up your attacks?
I'll definitely be making a DP/Dark Corr vigilante once GR hits properly. That strikes me as an extremely fun build -
Quote:I felt I had to be more aware of what mobs were weak to what damage type so I can squeeze out the damage I was lacking thanks to not having aim. That felt like a dramatic difference to me, but I agree the different effects don't do a whole lot.Except that changing your ammunition types doesn't actually dramatically change how the set plays. It alters the secondary effects and that's pretty much it. It alters DPA for some powers in ways that might skew their use in an optimized attack string, but the attacks function pretty much the same regardless of what ammo you're using. The tier 1 is still a tier 1, the tier 2 is still a tier 2, etc. Nothing particularly gamechanging: just the ability to cycle between knockdown w/ full lethal, -dam with 30% toxic, -rech/-spd with 30% cold, and rolling fire DoTs with 30% fire.
As to synergy, I tested with MM, as about half of everyone did I think, and it has very good synergy. With some extra recharge you can have a nice pbaoe attack chain and survive thanks to DP. (Counting the targeted aoe rain as part of that chain, as it is fast enough). Of course, MM is just a good set to pair with a lot of stuff. -

Quote:No, maybe with your build that has extra global recharge. Two lvl 50 IO Recharges makes the downtime roughly 37 seconds.
I have to agree. with 2 recharge your looking at 15 sec up, 15 sec down... -
I don't think other people's pets would count toward it; is it just your pets that count toward vigilance or everyone's?
-
Swap Ammo changes the way it plays dramatically, so no. There are also a couple of other powers that are interestingly different.
-
I was originally thinking "pets don't add to khelds' inherent," but that's specific to the AT on your team, not just the number of teammates. Knowing it adds to vigilance, however, which is more similar.... dangit now I have to go change my build around
-
Quote:Wait, pets count as allies toward increasing crit rates? Can anyone confirm that?
Having 3 brainless allies near you increases your Crit-chance from base 10% to 19%, too. -
Bear with me a couple of months and I'll see if my nin/elec does acceptably well with pylons and avs; all the numbers indicate it should be good.

This actually sounds akin to the issue where you will enter a mission and a bot instantly runs off to attack a far away target, without you having done anything. That I have experienced, but not in a pvp zone.
-
nah, you don't pm him, you call out his name just right and he'll come:
OCHOochoochoochoocho.....ocho.....ochoocho........ ...OcHo
Do it just like that at the top of your lungs and he'll come. Srsly try it, but make sure there are a bunch of people around you first or the incantation has no effect. -
I think part of the teaming thing depends on what server you're on. I've had absolutely no problem getting on teams/strike forces on Freedumb since the stalker changes; more and more people became aware of the massive change for the better and the AT has, at least there, lost much of its stigma. Really, a stalker is more desirable than a scrapper in large team situations (as long as they can crank out some AoE as in Electric and Spines, even katana/broadsword with some tricks) because of the higher damage with crits. The hp difference isn't a huge deal with defense based sets, but with others it can kind of suck.
So you have to be very choosy with your powersets unless you really know what you're doing. They have a slight learning curve, but great potential. If you just want to bash stuff, the stalker probably isn't your best choice; but if you like the style of play that forces you to think a little more, in return possibly offering a slightly higher reward, then you should try them out. -
I don't think your dps is right, considering that beats all claws users and many dm/shields in the rikti pylon thread.
-
Ah, see I have no problem with using my bruiser and resummoning him as I only give him one upgrade. I haven't noticed enemies moving away, I'll have to check that out...

Please someone who actually pvps answer this guys question; he's got two posts like this here that have been up for a bit with zero replies.
I haven't pvped since the changes, but from what I understand, thunder strike is a very good attack now in pvp because of its long activation time. I really don't know what the best sets would be, but I imagine energy melee might be better. -
It's not just the recharge, it's the dpa. Check the dpa of katana vs the dpa of broadsword. I believe high lvl builds with the recharge to run the best chains will get more damage out of the katana (also because more frequent attacks give more chance for procs to fire).
