Actually it shows correctly that Skinz lost 2 lives, and columna can be seen with 3 lives left in case she continues..

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why? Columna subbed for Skinz in both matches, never for Bog Monster. So according to the rules posted above, Skinz should have 3 lives.
  2. uh, Skinz got replaced by Columna, twice and won both fights. Also I don't think it's fair that people, who don't show up, get to keep their lives if their replacements win, unless that replacement was specifically agreed upon beforehand.

Replacements should be there for helping out the rest of the teammembers do a fight, not keeping someone that doesn't bother to show up, in the tournament.

    Teenage heroes

Would anybody care to post some pics of his teenage hero? A discussion about body part scaling on the suggestion forum got me thinking about this again. I was pretty damn satisfied with the way the body scaling turned out on mine. The only thing i don't like is the uber manly grunt he uses whenever he jumps.

I wouldn't mind seeing what you guys came up with. I'll start out with an old pic of my Grasshopper Boy. I'll get some new ones set up tomorrow(different cossies etc..)

    Decisions

    [ QUOTE ]

Can't really say what's best but I can say this...

Energy - Primary is great! Fast recharge on most, and some heavy damage. Eats up end but Stamina (when you finally get it) solves the problem.

Electricity - Secondary - Sucks! Other than Electic Fence to hold runners down while I smack them with Energy bolts I actually dumped all of my Elec powers in my first respec. Gimped!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hehe, I think you got those two mixed up there. With Elec secondary, you don't even need Nrg Primary. Elec secondary is so much better than Energy Primary, it's not even funny.

FYI, this is how I'd rate the potential of Blaster Primaries:
    1. Fire/Ice (both are great, it's too hard to pick)
    2. Electric (ok damage, hold, snipe and ranged nuke, decent secondary effect)
    3. Sonic (ok damage, ranged stun, great secondary effect)
    4. Energy (ok damage, snipe)
    5. Assault Rifle (good damage, but has [censored] animation. It's just too slow for quick damage)
    6. Archery (ugh, better play WoW instead if you want to use a bow)
  5. [ QUOTE ]
Do NOT slot BFR with any more than 1 rech, the animation time is a real killer. Give it 1 acc, 3 hold and either 1/1 or 0/2 Rech/end.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, I probably wasn't clear before when I said to slot 2 recharge on your hold.I meant freeze ray, not Bitter Freeze ray. Bitter Freeze ray should be use at the start of a fight on a boss, so you can instantly follow up with Freeze ray. That's the way to stack that one. If you're in the middle of a fight, only stick to freeze ray. Slotting recharge on Bitter Freeze ray, would be like slotting recharge on a snipe... useless.

Actually, i might even be better to take the Epic hold at lv 41 and skip Bitter Freeze Ray. If you're going for Electric Epic that is.

I really used to like Bitter Freeze ray, but those days are over now. Cryptic really needs to look at it, because it's a bit [censored] right now. With Ed, and proper slotting of Freeze ray, that should be enough to get you all the way through the game
  6. [ QUOTE ]
    Something like acc/hold/hold/end/rech/rech?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yup, that would be good. Some people even slot 3 recharge and one hold duration. I'd only slot this way for PVE though. PVP slotting would always have 2 acc minimum.

    [ QUOTE ]
After reading up on Ice Blast on the US forums, and finding out Ice Storm causes mobs to scatter (more or less slowly), I did get in doubt myself. Maybe delay it until after Blizzard and stack the two of them to maximize slowing down the fleeing and thus damage output?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Always drop it before Blizzard, as Blizzard will drain all your end and you won't be able to recover for a while, unless you drop a CAB. I know a lot of people use it to slow the mobs in the Aoe Range and then drop Blizzard on the, making it very hard for them to escape the effect. Now that you're allowed to buff both these powers, with aim+build up AND Powerboost (very important as it will increase the slowing effect), this might be a very nice high damage combo indeed. This defenitely needs testing though.

    [ QUOTE ]
Again a case of... "what to do now?", I think . True, the melee attacks are of much use in PvE, so maybe work them into the build as they become available, postponing some of the other stuff a bit?

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'd at least get Bone Smasher in there before lv 10. This will be you hardest hitter until Bitter Ice Blast(I think it hits for about equal damage as Bitter Ice Blast, I can't really remember and I can't check when at work). I'd probably also drop Ice Bolt for Energy Punch as it hit much harder, but that's a personal preference really, as it kinda depends on how much time you intend to spend in melee range.
  7. If you're just doing PVE, you don't need that many tohit buffs on Build up. Probably none at all. That's only useful for PVP.

I'd slot your hold with at least 2 recharges, for quick stacking. Bitter Freeze ray is useful for stacking, but it's a slow animating. Freeze ray is good for stacking mid fight.

I'm not sure if you should be taking Ice Storm, but I haven't tested it yet on test. I understand it's buffable now, so it might be good. Still, personally I'd rather six slot a melee attack instead of Ice Storm

Why take assault? Or Tactics for that matter, if you're not doing PVP. You'll benefit much more from Energy Punch and Bone Smasher. Don't think those are PVP exclusive powers. They are fantastic in PVE as well.
  8. [ QUOTE ]

Well, for a start Defiance wouldn't make any difference at all, and you need more than the tohit buff from tactics and targetting drone to hit through elude. The only way to guarantee hitting through it is to powerboost Aim and Build-up, both of which provide more +tohit than tactics+drone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Defiance does help a bit, but it is still a mystery as to how much tohit buff you get from full defiance. I'm guessing it's not a lot. Bit lame if you ask me.

Also, targeting drone and tactics doesn't even come close to the amount of tohit you get from just aim.... unslotted. Fully slotted TD+Tactics probably doesn't even give the amount of tohit you normally get from Build up. TD and Tactics, really took a big hit with ED.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Nearly right, If a Stalker is Repulsed before AS is ready then AS will be interrupted; It's not an auto hit and works in ticks

    [/ QUOTE ]

It doesn't require an accuracy check. That makes it an auto hit.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
At first glance, none of the builds are what I'd really call the PvP 'uber' builds

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ice/Nrg tank is pretty damn Uber. Hard to kill and aggro magnet. Also, it can hit damn hard when needed.
  11. [ QUOTE ]
    Confuse wants more confdur.
Mass hypno could use one sleep.
    TK could use one recharge.
Drop third acc in terrify, give it a rech.
Propably drop one EndRdx in Dispersion.
Detention field has inheret acc bonus, and is perma with 2 rech, get other slots outta there.
Drop one Acc (or two) in MC for ConfDur.
Power Boost wont need EndRdx I'd say.
Don't bother with more than 1 rech in recusitate

    [/ QUOTE ]

    What he said.

    In addition:

Lose the end reduction in PFF. You won't be using many powers while running it anyways, so you don't need end reducs.

I also wouldn't bother with that many Defbuffs in Dispersion bubble as the actual defense value isn't that great.

I'd drop one recharge on Stimulant. You've got Dispersion Bubble already, that should take care of most status attacks. I'm guessing you need to take Stimulant to get Aid Self, it wouldn't bother slotting it past the one slot.

Put some extra slots on Aid self. The heal value should be great if you couple it with power boost, but another heal on there might not be bad. A recharge and/or an interrupt reduction should help as well.

I wouldn't get Resuscitate, mainly because if you use your other powers wisely, you won't ever need it. If you do need it, just bring awakens, no need to waste a whole power on stupid people that insist on dying . Get something fun instead, like Force Bolt. Perma knockdown on bosses is always good.

    [ QUOTE ]

Yes it does, if you want proof search the US boards for a post by Castle - Only works however if the stalker doesnt have -DEF vs Repel

    [/ QUOTE ]

repulsion field is autohit, so it won't matter if you have a million defense points. It will still hit.

[/ QUOTE ]Are you guys confusing it with force bubble? AFAIK Repulsion is a PBAoE knockback toggle with ToHit check, and the Auto-hit repel one is force bubble, which blasters can't get.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope, repulsion field is autohit as well. I can hit through PFF with it at a 100% succes rate. I used to use it to detoggle PFF'ed MM's on my troller. Took ages, but it worked. I don't know why they are talking about repel protection, because it doesn't do repel, it does knockdown.

I think I saw a film about this once...

Then the big stupid guy comes to your house, and slices you up like cheese... either that or you have to defeat Darth Vader and the Death Star... who knows, films are so confusing nowadays, I can never remember what I'm watching.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Provided it has boobies and 'splosions, all is good, right?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    'splosions are optional.

  15. Should work, but the ticks are a bit slow to be honest. It will easily interrupt if you're standing still, but it can be less effective if you're moving a lot.

  17. I'll probably be there, like last week. Have to see what the situation at work is like though. I've got something important i have to attend on Tuesday, so I can't be up too late.

I have some doubts about the Test server though. The 2 union matches last week worked ok, but after that the server just crapped out, leaving everyone stuck at a loading screen for 5 minutes.

    Invis in pvp

    [ QUOTE ]
Invis is gimped in pvp, unless u play a stalker

    [/ QUOTE ]

thing is though, people expect Stalkers to go invis, not other AT's. Well, actually I expect Villains to go invis, a lot of villains seem to use it. Would be interesting if some heroes used it though, as many villains are not prepared for it. One +perception power on Stalker secondaries is not enough to see through invis as far as I know.

I used to have invis on my Ice/Ice blaster and used it to great succes in big arena free for alls. Kinda like an early version of the Stalker I guess. Dropped it after ED though, there are just so much more powers that are critical to have now. No more room for "fun" stuff. Thanks Cryptic.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
... and the confuse from that made me unload a shadow maul/smite combo into our own blaster before I realized what was going on.

    [/ QUOTE ]

but, you said you were buffing my damage!!

Also, while it's a funny tactic, it doesn't work. As a damage dealer in S4 I never bothered learning people names anyway, I just kept pressing the target button until a squishy AT came up. I only looked at Icons, not names.
  20. If this was an Issue 7 team, I'd probably switch one of the blaster primaries for Sonic instead. Maybe go Sonic/nrg for both stacked stuns and res debuffs. It will be much handier when you'll go up against +res based defenses(you know you will). You'll be a bit lower on damage, but if you just happen to go up against 2 invul scrappers and 2 invul tanks, on one team, you'll be much happier.

What happens if you run into a spider during the TF though? Do you just run away screaming and give up?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeh, it creates a similar level of overexaggerated despair as when your butch 'all-man' teams find themselves face to face with a common cold

    [/ QUOTE ]
Oh Noes!! How did you find that out? We finished that TF I say!!! You can't prove otherwise.... it's not like they give badges for those things!

Storm best secondary for solo PvP...? Nah.

Kin and Rad are far better.

    [/ QUOTE ]

probably rad. Doesn't require a to hit check on most powers. Try hitting an Eluded SR scrapper with your kin powers. I don't think you'll be very lucky.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Rad is awesome but in a team based PVP scenario or even the zones I dont think Rad is dynamic enough, you see green goo, you or the rest of your team find the rad and smack him silly and the effects are gone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but he's talking about Solo PVP. In Solo Rad is better. I teams I would pick Kin(mmmmm speedboost *drool*).

    [ QUOTE ]
but trying to run enervating field and radiation infection+TK is VERY end heavy..and since you have no pets to do the damage...I wonder..

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well, for solo PVP TK is best used to easily stack a hold on someone. You won't need to run it that long to achieve that. Also, why would you need TK at all, if you already have 2 debuffs on someone? Personally I find TK much handier in a team environment.
  23. an Ice/Nrg Tank would still be an effective Stalker hunter IMO. They have reasonable +perception powers(could have 3 +perception powers at lv 50) and if they get Icicles, they can just knock off hide if they get close. Pretty much the same goes for a Spines/SR scrapper.
