Blaster Repulsion Field

HI guys does the repulsion field disrupt the stalker assasin strike? Would be good to know before I get my free respec so I can decide if it is worth taking for recluses victory.

Yes it does, if you want proof search the US boards for a post by Castle - Only works however if the stalker doesnt have -DEF vs Repel

Should work, but the ticks are a bit slow to be honest. It will easily interrupt if you're standing still, but it can be less effective if you're moving a lot.

Isn't AS now only interruptable by direct damage as of I7?

AS is interruptible if the tick/KB hits before the interrupt phase ends, Int Red would reduce that; after that it will hit automatically (ACC willing) but the Stalker should be flung if his KB res fails; might protect against Pacify or follow up.

So not perfect, but better than nothing.

Is this in I6 or based on I7 on test as I'm pretty sure a redname has stated on teh American boards that AS will soon only be interruptable by direct damage.

Basic Stalker use(I6 And test): Movement of any sort interrupts AS; and if it does mean only direct damage blocks it; then there's gonna be an awful lot of TP/Snipe/Phase/Flight/Prison Doors made VERY unhappy.

[/ QUOTE ]Are you guys confusing it with force bubble? AFAIK Repulsion is a PBAoE knockback toggle with ToHit check, and the Auto-hit repel one is force bubble, which blasters can't get.

Nope, repulsion field is autohit as well. I can hit through PFF with it at a 100% succes rate. I used to use it to detoggle PFF'ed MM's on my troller. Took ages, but it worked. I don't know why they are talking about repel protection, because it doesn't do repel, it does knockdown.

Sorry, got mixed up with the name and the actual action:

And yes Kaya, unless the Stalker has Knockback protection, his/her AS will be interuppted.

AS cannot be slotted with Interruption Reduction Enhancements can it?

As far as i knew it was Auto-Hit

Nearly right, If a Stalker is Repulsed before AS is ready then AS will be interrupted; It's not an auto hit and works in ticks.

AS can't take Intreds and it's still dependant on Accuracy.

It doesn't require an accuracy check. That makes it an auto hit.

Ah, but it does require a time check, it repulses in waves, so you can dodge around a wave if you time it right.

How long is the tick interval in repulsion field?

From testing, it's possible to miss it for about 2 seconds. And that doesn't count for the Mastermind sending his melee pets in to overload it first.

If the Stalker can get close, start AS it might hit, but I'm not sure if it's a double check (like Snipe) or a single check (like Total Focus).

I've had Hellions bypass it for long enough to melee me if there's enough of them about.

sorry, forgot to post
Did only a quick test, the ticks seem to be around 0,5-0,7 seconds and it was quite hard to get a working AS. Then i tried the jump from above and spam AS when you hit the group, about 5 of 10 times i actualy managed to hit.

Then i put integration back on, was nearly a always hit.

I have an idea to try, but unfortunately we wont be seeing any blaster repulsion fields in RV during the event..

AS is single check, hence why you can be ASed several hundred yards away from the Stalker if you're moving around at high speed.

Which is essentially my idea, superspeed, low jump past the enemy, activate AS, my character will land away from the field that would interrupt, AS will hit - in theory Should work as long as I wont use movement buttons after acivating AS which would interrupt it. If it is possible to skim past between the field ticks that is. Jump will prevent the AS from rooting my character in middle of it all.

Too bad I dont have a stalker to test this with, only my blaster and his total focus .

Can you do it with your Blaster's snipe?
