Can someone suggest a direction to go with the Incarnate slots on a scrapper. I get that Alpha is generally used to patch up build limitations like recharge or end reduction. But some of the others I'm a little hazy on. the fire proc seems nice, but then so does the defense/resist debuff, I just don't know which would get more mileage. That's where I figure one of you could help.
Thanks in adance! -
The variety of content is one of the things that keeps CoX interesting.

Hello All,
Is there a better wiki to use? Cohtitan and Paragonwiki seem to have the same information, but seem to be missing things I would think easy to get. Prime example, the Nictus Shield. -
Human-only build means taking your resist toggles as well as your ranged/melee attacks.
My play-advice is "Don't be afraid of punching things."
Human side plays best as a blapper, I run my smash/lethal toggle constantly and pummel the snot out of one thug at a time. -

That's not so bad. The Shard isn't terribly popular anyways. Where does the TP drop you? the Oro zone-in point?
-
Does this work in/for the Shard? Can I TP into the Shard, or am I still limited to the long walk out there and a fast return?
-
Can someone with experience explain the difference to me.
The way I would assume LRT works from the description is as a longer range version of TP.
But I could easily see it as a special train stop for TP users.
How wrong am I? -
While I can't argue with a revision to Broadsword, I think we'd have to consider Katana, Mace and Axe in the spectrum to ensure we didn't wind up with two sets with vaguely different animations yet the same effects.
I'd be super thrilled if Broadsword got some slightly different animations and maybe more emphasis on the defense debuff. As it is, it feels like the middle-child to Axe and Katana. -
This is why I don't play new content for about a month after it releases. TF's? Trials? No thanks. I tried Statesman within a week of it's launch. You had three kinds of people:
People that get it
People that don't
Loud ******** with opinions
Nooo, now I wait. Patience is a virtue. -
Ah, very nice! Thanks a ton. Now to study, understand and improve my build-fu.

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to build out an Axe/Shield scrapper with a general focus of capped (or near-cap) positional defenses for some x8 mission smashing and general bad-assery.
Any pointers, slotting suggestions or builds can help.
Below you'll find my "Dangerous because I almost know what I'm doing" first stab.
A thousand thanks for any feedback up to and including "You suck, get out and go away."

I'm not sure if this has been answered, but I was wondering if the Vanguard Pack with the 7-Year reward will be applied to all characters when they login like Veteran Rewards, or if they'll be active at character creation so we could choose Vanguard parts right at the gate.
Also, does anyone know if we'll get the Vanguard Sword/Shield/Axe/Katana as well?
Thanks! -
I'm sure we could all agree it comes down to slotting, could someone post their standard SO slotting and give the OP a suggestion to work from?
-
FF? You mean Fiery Aura? If so, i'd imagine that you'd get a similar level of synergy out of Dark Armor, Ice Armor and Electric Armor.

There was a thread, recently (within a week, iirc) that commented on the defense numbers relevant to the current content.
I know it noted what you'd be aiming for to be hard to touch from Battle Maiden and some of the new TFs.
Anyone know where that thread is or what it was called? I can't recall if it was in this, the Tanker or the Archetype/Powers forum.
Thanks for your help

I assume 'Mary' is Amy Jonsson Ward which you get from beating Mary MacComber in the Katie TF, but I'd like to know what 'flip' and 'Boss2' do.

Quote:I wholly agree with Motley. /SR is such a fragile flower and at best a wooded vine, that gambling on the edge like that is too dangerous, imho.I don't remember the exact numbers, but I know that they kick in at about 60% HP and they stack. When you're at almost 0 HP, each one gets pretty close to 20%, so with all 3 you're at close to 60% res. Throw in Tough, and you'll be darn close to the Scrapper Resist Cap for S/L damage. Of course, you'll be so close to dead that it probably won't matter, but it's still neat
I've been near 60% health and gone from kicking *** to eating floor with a flick of the Dark Ring Mistress' wrist. -
Time Bomb is fine. There are a few powers that aren't immediately useful in a team. Doesn't mean they're bad, or useless. Rather, it means you learn when and how to use them effectively.
So you have to sneak ahead 2 or 3 spawns to plant your bomb. Congratulations, you found a use. Just like I had to learn where and when not to use Blizzard on my ice blaster.
I like the bomb-during-av fight approach, personally. -

I know the GvsE jump pack from the jetpack. This was a direct clone from the Jet Pack.
Y'know, now that GavinRuneblade mentions it, I might have opened a present and not noticed the reward. That's the only answer that makes the most sense. But it's no Jingle Jet, it's a tried and true Raptor Pack, but the power is called 'Jet Pack' -
I know they added Jet Pack as a temp power you can craft some time ago. Something I've run into is that on several new characters, without ever touching a bank mission of any sort, let along Atlas, I'm having the Jet Pack power show up on my power tray, as though I'd crafted or earned it.
This happen to anyone else? -
There's a global for Badging and the like but last I checked it was full.
I subscribe to Virtue LFG Alpha, which does a fair job of Team and TF organization. It might not be full. -
Quote:Unlike DCUO where I got tired pushing the same button over and over, I find I cannot grow tired of Headsplitter. If I could get it perma, I'd totally be mashing that like some sadistic Mario clone with a sword.Pretty much all my scrappers: Whatever's recharged-whatever's recharged-whatever's recharged-whatever's recharged-repeat.
I have a basic understanding of attack chains, and I see how they are beneficial, but in practice I've discovered the only time sticking to a set chain is practical is during an AV fight. In regular missions I just attack with whatever happens to be ready to go when I reach my target. There are exceptions, like when I sometimes wait because I really want to Head Splitter this guy here or something, but for the most part I don't worry too much about my exact order of attacking.
