Well, Z, TbH - that PVP answer *was* a dodge. And the "we fix bugs that come up?" The bugs, perhaps, but given the entire PVP (dedicated and casual) community's massive drop and seeming state of being ignored since I13, well...

I'd say you're getting some pretty tame replies.

    It's called "iffy UI design."

If they'd change that "Hide..." to "Filters" (since it's used elsewhere, like crafting tables, too) and had it read "Hide recipes missing ingredients," it'd be clearer. (And for the tables, "Hide recipes I don't own.")
  3. You *are* doing something wrong.
Uncheck the 'recipes missing ingredients." That's what you're telling it to hide.

True. But I can't say I blame him.

    Very marketing-y overall.

Slot up a triform and try saying "just one power" again. Besides, I've seen other situations where I'd love to slot, say, EndMod/Health as a single IO - doesn't exist, though. Anywhere there's a slot crunch, this sort of thing would come in handy for.

*shrug* More flexibility in slotting = good.

Go down to the menu button. Uncheck "Recipes Missing ingredients." Viola. It shows you everything up to your level, whether you have the merits or not.

    CoH cape mission

Serge gives the costume mission, not the cape mission.
See the city rep in city hall in Atlas.

Though the OP can just go to Atlas Park or Cap, enter Fort Trident or the Crucible, and look for him/herself.

Yes, those you can swap out at a respec. (Patron pools being respeccable as of a few issues ago.)

IF that were possible - which I doubt, as we'd have seen the forums flooded with "Hey, I respecced my whatever/whatever into a something/something!" almost immediately - it would have been a bug. I've got a fair number of characters and have run that respec on quite a few. It's something I would have noticed and posted about had I run across it.

If there's a purse snatching, do you call out SWAT or the military, or just let the regular cops do their job?

Do you have your top programmers answering calls about "where's the any key?" Or do you leave that to less experienced people (IE, lower levels) to deal with?

It makes perfect sense that at higher levels you've graduated past dealing with Skulls and Hellions - barring something major, they're not going to call you in at level 20, 30, 40, 50 to deal with them. They're going to let Captain McLowbie haul his level 3 butt over to handle it and get experience dealing with those before letting him deal with tougher assignments.

Yes, you - at 50 - can get a tip (not radio) mission in Atlas... to deal with a level 50 threat, not "Bunsen the Hellion and his Five Favourite Flames." Radio missions tend to be with zone-appropriate threats... barring you getting hit with the "BOSS_NAME" bug holding a mission past an issue release and facing stuff much higher than you.

Again, though - not against the idea. Just saying that it's not exactly hard to get those exploration badges *now* with existing tools in game.
  14. um... no, they did not. They gave regular respecs. The devs are on record being against respeccing AT or powersets, as it is.

The Incarnate arc unlocks a third build. This does not let you choose a new primary or secondary, either.
  15. Of course, they can already team with someone who *has* those missions if they're after the explore badges, too. Not against the idea, just saying there's not actually a "problem" for Praetorians as you say.
  16. It's like deja vu... from yesterday

    No. There isn't.

As for the "outrageous" cost, it's $10. As opposed to, say, WoW's $25.

Doesn't look like you actually read it, since there's a big IF to having them awarded at all, and having them really limited if they were.

    Quote:
IF they're awarded, it would be as part of an arc and limited either in power, being non-renewable or some other way.
    Plus, right at the top:

    2. Why not convert the PVP zones?

Because I don't believe in taking away things. PVP is broken. It needs fixing. That doesn't mean the zones dedicated to it should be removed, any more than bases should be removed because they have issues, or the market should be removed because of the prices of some items.
So, no, it doesn't look like you read it at all. You WOULD still have it as it is now. But there would be more, in a PVE-version of the zone, like story arcs. Stuff to get people to look at the PVE version and MAYBE go into the PVP version.

The big worry I'd have about it is having people go to the "wrong" zone. Yes, the PVP zones have warnings when you enter. People have proved over and over that they don't pay attention to the popup, or the 30 second timer, and complain they were attacked in a PVP zone already. There'd have to be a way to make it really plain that "You go here for the PVE version and missions." How to do that gracefully, I don't know.
  18. Minor difference is that Energy isn't purely defense - it's a mix of defense and resistance already. And IIRC there is some debuff protection in the set already - but I'm going from memory there.

That said, I have nothing *against* the idea. I'll let the numbers people play with it, though. (I'd still like to see Energy Drain's heal component buffed up a bit, though. It's better than not having it at all, yes, but it's still awfully weak.)

And as an aside, I will forever read "DDR" as "Dance Dance Revolution," which makes reading titles and posts like this just a bit odd.
  19. Basic questions:
When you upgraded (I'm assuming the drivers are what you mean by the "newest version,") did you uninstall the old ones and/or use driver sweeper to clear them out?
    Does it happen anywhere else?
Does it happen right away or after a specific time.
(Also, see the sticky about using Hijackthis and COH Helper to post some diagnostic info, it'll help.)
  20. /no to changing arcs into SFs, thanks. Now, if you want him to *host* a SF, sure, though I'm not sure a contact can do both arcs and SFs.

A fair number of the task forces have walkthroughs.

As for mission walkthroughs? "Do what the nav bar tells you. Or kill everything. Whichever works." That covers better than 90% of the game.
