COH + Windows 7 64 bit = A Royal Pain!
Basic questions:
When you upgraded (I'm assuming the drivers are what you mean by the "newest version,") did you uninstall the old ones and/or use driver sweeper to clear them out?
Does it happen anywhere else?
Does it happen right away or after a specific time.
(Also, see the sticky about using Hijackthis and COH Helper to post some diagnostic info, it'll help.)
I reinstalled Windows so there shouldn't be any old drivers, well I hope not. Sometimes if Im watching a movie or surfing the net, my screen will go black then I get the message "Windows kernel driver failed" I'm running dual monitor and this is really getting on my nerves. Ill post the cog helper results shortly.

Make sure you install CoH in Programs and not Programs(x86)
Right click on the shortcut and select properties. Click the comparability tap and then check "Disable display setting fon high DPI setting" Click Apply and try to run it.
Also make sure you have all the updated service packs (upto 3) for Windows 7.
I had problems when I first installed Windows 7, but this worked for me. Hope it helps.

Mind of Gaia lvl 50 Defiant's first Mind/Storm 'troller.
Deadly Doc 50 Dark/Dark Corr
and lots more on Pinnacle,Union and Defiant
Ok I checked and I have the most up to date chipset drivers and I also disable the high DPI setting like u said. I'm bout to run it and see what happens.
Sounds more like overheating of video card or bad video ram in general. The GTX 2xx's have had a lot of issues relating to those very things. A quick google search will point to ltos of threads for various issues in various programs. Have you tried testing the card in a stability program such as http://www.freestone-group.com/video...ility-test.htm
The location of the client is irrelevent to stability, and Service Pack 1 for windows 7 isn't due out until the 22nd. CoX on 7 64 bit works fine though - been on the 2 since 7 went RTM
FltMgnr.sys is Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager. If this is a one time error, I wouldn't be to concerned, but if it happens a lot, or you get 0x7B errors it might be more of a hard drive problem. You mentioned fresh isntall. What were the reasons behind the fresh install?
Also to rule out CoX as being the issus, have you tried any other graphic intensive games?

On a side note, why on earth would you have 13GB pagefile when you have 8GB ram? Tops 1-2GB even then you could set the minimum to say 500MB and total to 1GB and make your system use the FASTER Ram.
Also make sure you have all the updated service packs (upto 3) for Windows 7. |
There are not 3 Service packs for Windows 7.
Gangrel_EU already corrected your error about the Program Files (x86) folder.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Here's my problem maybe some of you can help. I have Windows 7 64 bit and its a fresh install. I tried to play the game then my screen would start flickering and then the game would crash. I thought it was my graphic card (GeForce 250 GTS) so I updated the newest version; tried it again and still the same problem. I've only had this card for a lil over a year and I dont want to get another one so soon. Is there anything im missing or doing wrong? let me know. Thanks.
