  1. I think it was more finding someone elses DNA unrelated to the three boys convicted that managed to get these now grown men set free. The entire case was built around a few shodey, and completely unfounded pieces of "evidence".

One you have the highly inaccurate and coursed confession of a mentality disabled minor that was told if he just confessed he could go back home.

Two the main reason they went after these three is because an officer on the scene that knew of the "ringleader" Damien started making comments about the boy being the one that did it before any evidence was even collected. Why did he do this? Because Damien liked Metallica, wore rock t-shirts,had long hair( pretty much every normal teenage boy from the 60's till now)..and because he changed his name to Damien. In short everyone in their poorly educated community thought he was a Satanist, and only a satanist would hurt a child in their town! (Damien is the name of a Saint, not just some made up name from a horror movie)

All of this made them overlook the fact that the third was the way the children were murdered was not Satanic in nature, but more of a rage killing of someone that had a connection and personal hatred of one of the children. (Which matched one of the boys Step Parent's suddenly missing knife, and his dna was found in the bindings used to keep the boys from getting away.)

As to the previous GR film, it blended nicely elements from the 60's, 70's and 90's GR comics, the main flaw wasn't Nic Cage, but rather that they went for PG 13 rating. This....is....GHOST RIDER......not Spiderman or Superman. Ghost Rider is not a character for comic fans of all ages. the first movie should have amped up the fights, dumped some of the jokes and went for the R rating. I still like the first movie though despite that.

That was another issue I had with the film. Ghost Rider and Wolverine both need a Hard R rated film to be fully enjoyed.
  3. I'm not a big fan of Cage as Johnny Blaze, but I do have to admit I enjoy his action movies..as bad as they can be. As for The ghost rider films I would say the downfall of the first one was not Cage's performance but the lackluster fight scenes, and cheesey comments made throughout.

This one shows promise from the trailer. GR showing hints of being Zarathos *I hope* instead of a facet of Blaze's personality. That's something that was never really touched on.. and did I see Blackout in there?!

Darn you Lothy, using my lecherous nature to prove a point! ... Good point though as I am more then sure Kate's catsuit sexy is the real reason the franchise is still going.

Not sure if we are allowed to post stories like this on here, but I'm glad they were freed at last... It's a shame they were only allowed to do so in such a way as to not allow them to sue the city.

It would seem likely that is the whole "real" reason for this plot development in the franchise..Like Scott had "better" things to do with all those flops he has starred in since UnderWorld 2! XD It's pretty depressing really since I found his character to be the only interesting one ability wise in the films.

I will still watch it though, because Kate is still sexy as hell in that outfit.

So was Eureka before season 5 was even done filming. Honestly a show is never in the clear for a new season until said season has aired.

If I recall one of the first things she did after taking over programming for the channel was cancel Farscape, and give the green light to Tremors the series. Let that sink in to give an idea of what kind of person is in charge now.

That little gem managed to get her torn to ribbons at Sci-fi's press confrence for the Launch of tremors. To the point she was visibly holding back tears from Reporter questions such as."Are you retarded? Why would you cancel farscape for this crap?!"
  9. I've said it before and I'll say it again. For a channel that was once fully devoted to all things Sci-fi and cult classic they has proved again and again to have no respect for their fans,or the few quality series they have managed to air. As every single last one of them outside of BSG were canceled before a proper series finale was given time to be written or worked into current storylines.
They took Stargate, a franchise on the very cusp of becoming the next Star Trek, or if I may be so bold, America's answer to Doctor Who..and they dragged it out into a field to be shot only after trying to make it into a clone of BSG, their one and only mainstream success which in the process erased everything that made the franchise popular with fans in the first place.

In short. #$## you Scy-fy channel. I'm glad I stopped watching you with the name change.

Next in the news. Warehouse 13 will be canceled with a cliffhanger ending, and any attempts by other networks to buy the rights will be blocked.

That's how I feel about the Superman case. Those sueing had no say at all in the creation of the character, and I'm pretty damn sure they weren't even born at the time so they are owed nothing..but still won.

It's a lot more then just that, these are the things that can't be mentioned anymore except after paying the estate for the rights to do so once it takes hold.

Superman's origins from the planet Krypton, his parents Jor-El and Lora, Superman as the infant Kal-El, the launching of the infant Superman into space by his parents as Krypton explodes and his landing on Earth in a fiery crash.
The Superman character, including his costume, his alter-ego as reporter Clark Kent, the feisty reporter Lois Lane, their jobs at the Daily Planet newspaper working for a gruff editor, and the love triangle among Clark/Superman and Lois.

What they can mention and use.

Superman's ability to fly, the term kryptonite, the Lex Luthor and Jimmy Olsen characters, Superman's powers and expanded origins.

    Copy and pasted from here.

Maybe I'm just jaded with yet another colossal , stupendous event.

It's not so much a planned event as the fact DC has to change Superman ASAP do to losing a massive amount of his copyrighted materials. Pretty much eveything is being redone to make room for those changes. I'm going to guess this is the same reasont he movie is being held back, not to avoid other blockbusters but to rework the script and edit out the things they can't mention anymore.

    Hulk Movies

I've seen both movies, own the latest one and I have to say I enjoyed both of them. Then again Hulk is one character I'm not that uptight about when he's changed for film. (I grew up on The Incredible Hulk Reruns and tv movies afterall! )

    Teen Wolf

I'm not going to check it out until it get at least three or so seasons under it's belt...Which is impossible for a MTV show that's not mindless.
  15. Well that should help the game get some new players that feel burned by the other hero mmos

I have to agree, I tried rewatching the show after not seeing it since the late 80's...my god was it horrible.
  17. Ten dollars says Alphas' tanks, and takes Either Warehouse or eureka with it. :P

On a serious note I do love warehouse and Eurka..but I get that bad feeling in my gut every time a new season roles around that it will be the last..as Sci-fi has a thing for canceling shows for no forseeable reason only to fill it's timeslot with something 60% crappier.

    Voltron Force

The animation for this is about as bad as some low rent flash animations I've seen posted to newgrounds... I just can't get into it for that reason. Same reason I didn't watch more then ten seconds of the new Speed racer show.

It's never a good sign when decades old cartoon shows outshine your production values.

It made me wonder since the CIA deskjockey Jack saved acted surprised when he mentioned aliens..when Torchwood is in the same timeline as Doctor Who..and we all know how many times one of his adventures caused worldwide and VERY public Invasions.

Speaking of which, I would love to see The Doctor pop up
  20. The real question is does this new series even take place in the same continuty as COE? .. I mean after every child over the whole planet starts talking in unison you'd think something like everyone is now unable to die wouldn't be that big of a shock.

As for the new episode..I care about nothing going on except the possible evil baby.(Then again I've always Liked Terry's character) The fae scene reminded me of the cheese of hercules/Xena..and not the good cheese!
  22. Personally, I think Superman is better served and written well when it's not just another "I might be beaten/die" Superhero story, but when he's placed on a higher level. I would love to read stories of Superman battling not a supervillain but worldhunger, needless war, genocide, catastrophic natural disasters. The Man can move mountains..so give him convincing reasons to do so! Now for stories of physical conflict involving Big Blue, stories of cosmic danger work well...that's the level they keep placing him on.

The thing about Captain America and Superman..is to me they are two sides of the same coin. The only difference betwen them in the eyes of others in their perspective universes is Captain America doesn't have the same level of physical ability as Superman.
  23. I'm still surprised people are complaining about getting actual Endgame content that allows progress passed Level 50 after SEVEN YEARS!

That's the whole dang reason I even came back. Because after years of only having the option of geting to 50,rolling an alt doing it again..then a few more years of rolling an alt ,getting to 50..and nickle and diming minor stat increase sets..I'm glad to be able to run instanced "raid" content for meaningful progression of my characters I enjoyed getting to 50.
  24. I think this is another case of "everything that happened in the missing year is better then what we have for the aftermath". Supernatural suffered the same problem through almost all of Season 6 with what the Evil Sam did seeming much more interesting then what happened after hooking back up with Dean.

Also, the "twist" with Bill wasn't a twist as it was given away less then a minute after he showed up.
  25. I tried to watch the New Power Rangers Samurai a few days ago and..god..Was the show ALWAYS that bad or has the quality/budget just plummeted over the years? That crap's three rungs lower in quality then PBS programming.
