Has anyone else seen this new show?
I admit that I was a little hesitant, since it was on Mtv. Luckily they don't show any music videos though, so they have plenty of time for things like this.
It gets a touch sappy here and there, but honestly seems like a good show so far.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

tried to watch it, got bored after 5 minutes.

I'm not going to check it out until it get at least three or so seasons under it's belt...Which is impossible for a MTV show that's not mindless.

I refuse to add Mtv back into my channel lineup on moral grounds. Until they stop spewing toxic waste like Jersey Shore and Teen Moms and driving us quicker into a state of Idiocracy I will not give them any ratings.

Not that it matters, being the old fogey I am doesn't make me in the age demo these days.

I've heard good reviews about it, but don't have cable. It probably won't last long, but I'll pick up the seasons on DvD when they become available. I have an extensive collection of werewolf movies/shows... most of them _really_ bad, so I'd be remiss if I didn't get them.

EDIT: I'm still upset that the Werewolf TV series didn't make it to DvD because of a dispute over a couple of the songs in it.

I couldn't agree more.

Is that why it's never been released? Geez, I loved that show back in the day. It was The Fugitive meets Bill Bixby's Incredible Hulk with fur and fangs and damned enjoyable to watch, too.

Which songs were causing the problems and was it solely a monetary dispute or something else on top of that?

Final Straw, DM/Regen Scrapper
Solari, Fire/Fire Blaster
Real Americana, MA/SR Scrapper
Task Force Timmy, Grav/Rad Controller
Astral Paragon, Spines/Regen Scrapper
Mr Drama King, Katana/Regen Scrapper
Psi-Stunner, Psi/Mental Blaster

It was about the money. Shout! Factory had already done the digital re-mastering and cleaning, had box art and was near ready to release. There were two music artists (that have been left unnamed) that were still in negotiations that wanted more than Shout! Factory could (or would) afford to pay them for their rights to the songs in the shows. After months of negotiation, it fell through and they had to scrap the whole thing.

Back when the show was made, there was no audio layering, so the tracks could not be removed. Worse, the artist's tracks were apparently either too numerous or at key points in the story that removing the scenes entirely would wreck the overall work.

It's a damn shame. It's among one of my most favorite TV series' ever. I have copies I bought off Ebay forever ago that were VCR tapes of the show converted to disk. The quality goes from good to meh from show to show, but at least I still get to see it. I'd have bought the nice, re-mastered set with the really nice box art it had the day it came out.

And still will if it ever happens.
