Eureka and Warehouse 13 return with new episodes tonight, plus we get the premier of Alphas which seems to be a Heroes-esque show. Hopefully, without the twins...

What's the buzz on Alphas? I haven't been reading much on it. Ads make it look like it might be ok.

Felicia Day is on Eureka this season. Like I needed another reason to watch, but <3 <3 <3 Felicia....

Been looking forward to Eureka and Warehouse 13 coming back for a while. Alphas... doesn't sit right with me. I don't know if it's the name... or the concept of another 'Heroes'-ish show...
I will still give it a chance like I have so many other shows... but I'm not expecting much.

Really looking forward to Eureka and Warehouse 13. I really hope Myka eventually comes back.

Ten dollars says Alphas' tanks, and takes Either Warehouse or eureka with it. :P

On a serious note I do love warehouse and Eurka..but I get that bad feeling in my gut every time a new season roles around that it will be the last..as Sci-fi has a thing for canceling shows for no forseeable reason only to fill it's timeslot with something 60% crappier.

Oh goodie. We get Ming Na playing yet another political-type with delusions of grandeur.

I was expecting some reference the Falcon when things started going wrong up in the capsule. Fargo, I am disappoint...

Willing to give Alphas a shot. Interesting setup. Less a Heroes clone than...I don't know what exactly. Tonight's bad guy reminds of a splicer in Bioshock.

Well damn, Myka's back a lot sooner than I'd expected. This calls for a

Well WH13 I'll have to see how they work the new guy in the full mix.

Alpha's, hmm, it could be a decent show but that will depend on how the characters shake out as they develop the characters over the next few episodes. It will depend on if they tone the presentations of the characters ticks down or not.

Liked Eureka, can't wait for Felicia next week (episode called "This One Time at Space Camp..."). Good to see someone from SG:U getting another part on another SyFy show.

Liked Warehouse 13, of course Myka was coming back. Laughed at the first commercial break with the "brought to you by Toyota". No really, I wouldn't have guessed after the two minute Prius product placement. Not liking the grumpy Claudia.

Don't know about Alphas. Super powered people and their shrink/leader. On the upside they already have an organized enemy group (or maybe not the enemy) against them. I figure the female "pusher" told someone once to take a long walk off a short pier and now she's trying to make up for that.

Alphas actually surprised me a bit. Nothing ground breaking, a tad predictable, but I enjoyed it and I liked the characters more than I expected. Will give it a shot.

I enjoyed Alphas. Good set up.

Spoilers.

Love how the happy, caring, touchy-feely Doc basicly blackmailed the new guy into joining the team.

I don't think it's that Claudia was grumpy, she just resented Jinks coming in and replacing Myka as well as shouldering her out of more field work as Pete's partner. I did like that they reproduced Pete and Myka's introduction to the Warehouse. It was a nice touch.

And a more subtle Dyson fan placement.

Ya know, I realized that the badguy in W13 was about one of the stupidest people to have ever lived. You're getting strangulated with a plastic bag? Wouldn't you, ya know, poke a hole in the plastic over the mouth? I mean come on. Granted, you'd probably get shot or something later, but still.

When has a Psychiatrist ever told a patient they shouldn't come back?

Or do something with your hands, like elbow the person or something.

Here was my only issue with the WH13 episode:

Remember when the CEOs were sitting around, then the assassin comes in and delivers the folio's pages? Remember when Pete & Myka waited for the CEOs to START DYING before acting (granted Pete and Jinx were detained shortly therafter but Pete had plenty of time to react)?

Why didn't Myka just tackle the assassin and take the folio pages? Why didn't ANYONE chase the assassin after he handed out the folio pages?

RAWR.

Because it was Myka's job to use her leet Shakespeare skills to "disarm" any curses that go off. And as you pointed out, Pete and Jinx were otherwise engaged to chase him.

Also Pete realized that they would likely be detained when they showed up so he was a diversion so Myka wouldn't be noticed by Agent Blondie Belle and the Meatheads.

Unless the bag was an artifact.

Hopefully Jinx stays around. I actually like the character.

And it was good to see the return of the football.

I know it was her job to 'disarm' the curse but why even let it get that far? She was standing right there and could have easily prevented the attempted murders.

Pete and Jinx were engaged but not until after the assassin started passing out the folio pages. I know this is lame to nit pick, but I swear if Pete made a mad run at the assassin then he would have tackled him long before the 'FBI' started stripping him.

By the way, I love that line he says after his shirt is nearly ripped off. Classic.

I like WH 13, it's a fun show. In fact, I prefer it over Eureka lately. Not sure why, it just seems less drama-y and more fun-y.

Yeah, me too. I thought he and Pete had some good chemistry going. Now if Pete could just teach Jinks to stop calling people out on their lies (or call them out in a more strategic way).

I liked how it hit the Prius. Sort of a 'take that!' from the writers over the product placement.
