  1. It apparently doesn't take accuracy enhancements, so is Energy Absorption from the Ice Armor tanker set an auto-hit power?

Side-note: In game it still has a base accuracy value of 1.00, which is a bit on the low side if it's not an auto-hit power.

  3. I think there's a heavy dependence on AT and build as to whether certain AV's are easy or not. For instance I can imagine the Clockwork King being naturally easier for a /WP scrapper due to the psionic resistance and defense already built in. Fire off Elusive Mind (rikti invasion accolade) and have inspirations on hand and he's a breeze.
  4. Is there information available anywhere?

If they do read through some of these threads, have they been known to give feedback? Has any of these suggestions ever been implemented into the game?

If they aren't known to read through this forum, then what is the most efficient way to get a serious suggestion or idea across?
  5. [ QUOTE ]
The reasoning for this is actually pretty simple, especially since the devs have gone into the Origin of Power and pretty much stated that all super powers have the same fundamental origin: super-to-super conflict within the shard would destabilize it to such a degree as to rend the fabric of reality and erase everyone involved from existence as well as potentially releasing Rularuu. The only characters that would actually want to do this would then be those that are trying to release Rularuu with such a fervor as to completely abandon thought for their own lives. It's probably a small enough sub-set of characters (those that really want to free Rularuu and those that don't value their own existence at all) that it's excusable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Releasing them, thereby reincorporating the long lost Rularuu invasions! Except, of course, with level scaling like zombies and rikti.

I'd say roughly only 20% of the player base even knows about the shard

    [/ QUOTE ]

Judging from the number of replies.... I hate when I'm right.
  7. Greatest suggestion in 5 years, even if it's been suggested time and time again. I'd say roughly only 20% of the player base even knows about the shard (although ironically about 80%+ know of ouroboros). Those that do know of it have been wishing for years that the devs could put more time into it. But, with many other side projects going on, the shadow shard keeps eluding them, issue after issue, booster after booster.

I say the players need to get the word out about the shard, so we can get more people to nudge the devs in the right (IMO) direction. If they see that an overwhelming amount of the player base is interested, we might get that change we've been looking for the last few years.

  9. I'd like to see more accolades that give some kind of bonus... not necessarily endurance, though.

The Magi are really the only challenging part of the raid, and then can be controlled very easily.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Indeed, make sure every raid has controllers. They can be extremely anti-magi if used effectively.

The merits balance themselves out anyway. For each magus you've taken down, another 50-100 headmans have gone down with it, and they tend to fall quicker than a sack of potatoes. On Virtue, merits are flying around like crazy with every raid. I average about 300-400 per.

    IO bonuses

    [ QUOTE ]
    From my [very old] guide:
    [ QUOTE ]

You can add the same "little bonus" up to five times. No more than five, even if they're from different sets. 3% Resistance and 3.11% Resistance are different little bonuses!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [/ QUOTE ]

What defines "small, moderate, large, huge, ultimate," etc. for the various bonuses? I'm assuming you mean that you can have 5 "small" of the same bonus, as well as 5 "moderate" of that same bonus type. I'm just wondering if there's a guide that explains these differences in real numbers.

    IO bonuses

Does the magnitude of the bonus still count towards the limit of 5? For instance, could I have 5 of X% recharge and another 5 of Y% recharge?

  14. Hamidon Raids are 4 days a week on Virtue (2 villain, 2 hero).

    [ QUOTE ]
To the whole map? What about the guy who accidentally zoned the moment Hami was being taken down?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Same thing that has happened to thousands of players that have dc'ed during the final fight of a TF. They're just SOL. That solution is most likely appropriate for another thread, though.

EDIT: Looking back I realize you probably mean some player that happens to zone in during the final blows to Hamidon. Every, and I mean EVERY raid I've ever been on (20+ now) the zone has been completely full, with spillover into Hive 2.
  15. [ QUOTE ]

I've also heard of someone who made 16 random rolls, sold them to me at a pre-agreed price, and almost none of them were worth a damn thing. Minotaur warned me he had no luck with the random roll table. . . I didn't listen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I rolled 8 times once... got 1 of each of the Big 3. YMMV. I've done my own datamining with just random rolls, in the 35-39 range. I average 50 mil for every 100 merits, or 500,000 per merit. This was after spending 500 merits on random rolls (not all at once, but over time). Getting the big 3 all at once like that is a freak occurance, but you'll still get many other decent recipes that sell for 10-20 mil per.

OTOH, if you saved 250 merits and spent it all on a single recipe of the big 3, and depending on its level, you would get about 50-70 mil for it. With the fluxuations in the market, that average could go up or down, with an absolute max of about 100 mil. Even taking this absolute max value of 100 mil for 250 merits, you still have an inf. per merit value (400,000) that's less than the inf. per merit value from random rolls (500,000).

This means it is useless in Tier 1 MM pets, as they at lvl 50 they will be lvl 49.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Personally I think it'd be a waste to slot SA into tier 1 pets. First choice slotting for me is always tier 3, unless for some reason I decide to slot a different set in the power.

I can see why the programming doesn't allow pets to maintain the enhancement bonuses. IIRC pets are not malefactored like the player, they are simply summoned according to the player's mal'ed level, not their true level.
  17. Personally I've had the most success with the task force random recipe rolls. 20 merits per roll, and depending on the level range you roll within you could make up to 100 mil on a single roll.
  18. Master_Armantus

    End game in CoX?

I do wish there was content (besides recipes) exclusively for level 50's. But I suppose for now all the 45-50 TF's and Hamidon Raids are good enough.
  19. Like the Prof said, take a break. Come back when they release I15 so there will be something fresh.
  20. I like the accuracy and ranged defense bonuses. I would complain about people calling it "Crap of the Hunter" all the time, but it just means I can get the entire set for cheap.
  21. I'd almost be willing to pay $15 a month for the entertainment I get from these forums.
  22. Or simply have a "Call" option for these contacts, at least for this specific mission type.

We'll do so as much as we like, tyvm. You have yourself to thank for that. If you didn't want criticism, you should not have posted.
  24. Any AT with an AoE heal. Team often and spam.

Apparently there's a way to farm for healing badges in the Arena, but I don't know the specifics about it.
