I'm not sure what the issue was, but after zoning back out to Grandville, it seemed to work just fine. I'm sure it was just some kind of glitch related to me closing down the crashing client AFTER I already loaded a new one. I've never had such issues before, but at least I know to close out completely next time. lol

Quote:Your command is working just fine for me. Did you remember to put the power there first? lol (I had to ask)/bind 1 “powexec_tray 6 4”
It isn't working now...I'm thinking I changed something without realizing it. Any obvious errors there?
Actually, looking more closely at it, make sure you are using the standard quotes (""), not the fancy curly ones that you used in here. (“”) probably wont work. -
Not for nothing, but we will pretty much ALL have to respec when the i19 changes drop down, so I'd wait if I were you.

Quote:It was an awesome run with a great team. We just slaughtered everything in the way, and took on all the AVs at once each time. We had so many support buffs that it took 6 Sonic Grenades before my capped resistance (90%) fell to 86%. lol. Good fun! Thanks for hostingFour deaths, 1 hour, fifty-eight minutes.
Thanks to: Mistress Neurothorn, Zero Break, Marsil Oberon, Odina, Takeo, Queen of Underworld, and Teal Tabby!
Despite my strange client issues toward the end, everything went very well and it was a lot of fun. I can't wait to run it again and get the Master badge as well. See you then! -

Quote:Yeah. You are right. I had forgotten about that. I did test it out a long time ago and found that it caps just over 1050 credit per target. I guess since my aura above didn't go much higher than that, I didn't do the exact math to realize that 100 of that in my picture didn't count. lolIt's one a "regular" base hit point that counts, according to the progress on the characters I've been using this mechanism on for SG healing badges. As in, my defenders got their unmodified base hp at the level they were at even if the green number appearing over the veteran pet was a lot larger. I have no idea whether it is AT-specific base hit point or the "normal" base of (at 50) 1070.8970 hit points - I just know that set bonuses or accolades didn't change the amount received. I would lean towards the latter since I doubt AT hp-modifiers would matter. A bunch of veterans with AoE-heals could quickly accumulate both Empath and SG-healing badges using this method. It's fairly fast solo, even.
That's still better than your average heal farm. -
Quote:You should be able do it both ways.(Been too long since I bought a physical copy of the game to use a code from - do you go into the existing account and select an upgrade button there, or is it like buying the electronic ones where you select the account to add it to after you input it?)
When you input a code, it gives you the option of different things you can do with the code:
-Make a new game account
-Upgrade game account 1
-Upgrade game account 2 -
Quote:Do you have the little vet pets that heal? There was a bug where they where earning credit towards the heal badges.Quote:You know i should say i think this was in beta and like i said it was second hand so i don't know the circumstances so who knows might not be true. He said it to me so i figured i would through it out there as a possibility.
The Vet pets don't heal. Your friend meant that if you use a heal on one of those pets, it grants you extremely large credit toward the healing badge. Even though they only have 10hp, you can heal them for thousands, and it all counts.
If you get a small group of people together with their pets and start running a healing aura, you can get the badges much faster than the standard Gladiator Heal farm.
Quote:I assume whatever was causing that was quickly fixed because that'd be a pretty nice trick for people wanting heal badges.
Edit:
I just re-tested and it still works. Healing a pet shows about 4x the healing above it's head, and it all counts toward the badge.
Here are some pics:

Quote:That is correct... until he leveled up.So does that mean if the star was *exactly* 40 we would have been 39?
I don't remember it working any differently before. -
Maybe it's getting stuck on the blue walls? lol

Quote:When switching sides, you are automatically granted any accolades that correspond to the ones you already have.I have a question relating to but slightly different from the original post.
The situation is that I have a Rogue Brute, and am looking to get "Born in Battle" and "Invader" Accolades, and have noticed that the accolade powers these badges are synonymous with accolade powers granted by "Portal Jockey" and "Atlas Medallion" accolades respectively. I've found in the past that the Hero-flavored badges are easier and more fun to get than the Villain ones.
Now, if I were to turn Hero/Vigilante, and earn these (Portal Jockey and Atlas Medallion) badges, would I be granted the accolade and related powers? Furthermore if I move back to Rogue (via Villain), will I retain the accolade powers as if I had completed "Born in Battle" and "Invader"? The alternate case should then be true as well, but I haven't tested it yet; would I retain the accolade power from "Demonic" when I move to Hero/Vigilante as if I had completed "Archmage"?
I hope I've been clear enough... If not I can try to clarify further.
Thanks!
So yes, when you earn them on heroside, you are granted the Hero powers, and then you can switch back and e given the Villain versions if you think that's easier or more convenient for you.
Note: After switching sides, you will have BOTH powers, but the previous accolades are grayed out. You'll have to put the new accolade powers in your powertray if you want to use them. -

This seems to be a common issue lately. I wonder if it's default for new characters is now "disabled" for some reason. That would be a strange thing to have changed. -
Quote:I'm convinced this is the case as well. As long as you are the only one in the area, the spawns are dependent on your own status. They can go up in lvl, be slightly bigger or contain a Boss, or a Void/Quantum depending on the status of you and your team. I'm inclined to also believe that when you have a hunt mission selected, you are less likely to get that faction as a spawn. I wonder if selecting a different mission as the Active Task would help. hahaActually I swear..... the game deliberately spawns the opposite of what you need.....
This similar scenario used to happen about every time I brought a new character into The Hollows. When I needed Trolls, there were Outcasts everywhere. When I needed Outcasts, it's nothing but Trolls! lol

Quote:Yes we started with Mr. G and finished him before you signed on. He introduced me to Transmuter.Derp. MB, can you tell me again how far your team got for contact work? I wanted to get Bullet caught up after being 90 mins late and missing the arc work...
I'm assuming we're somewhere beyond this link.
http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Mr._G
When Luna announced on the channel that she had finished her second arc and was calling it a night, we were finishing ours as well. After finally seeing the trainer, Provost Marchand gave me the option of Dr. Hetzfeld or IVy in Neutropolis.
I chose IVy. -
I have not seen an official announcement, but it typically does not start until a couple weeks before Halloween, and ends quickly after Halloween, so we have another few weeks yet until it starts. Last year's new event testing didn't even start until the first week of October.
-
I sent you an offline global Tell last night. You might not have read it yet:
I think we finished our second contact at the same time you did. My team hit 15/16 as well, but I don't think anybody was really using their own contacts, so I was the only one getting the arc bonuses. Also, the reason I wasn't ready for the next zone is because I didn't actually see the trainer until after you left. Once I did, I was finally given the Neutropolis contact, so I can start there next week without a problem.
As for the week after that, we could simply finish whatever final arcs we have going and/or do a badge-tour of the city before taking off to the Rogue Isles? -
Quote:Yes it does. It gives you the recipe and salvage just like the other tutorials. I've done it on more than one occasion, this morning included. In fact, it still gives you the supplies even if your inventory is full. When I did it this morning, it showed I was holding 11/10 recipes. You still can't craft it unless you have room though, obviously.Unfortunately, the Praetorian tutorial does not grant you a free crafted enhancement like the heroside one does. I wonder if you can do it again once you switch over to Primal earth.
To answer your question about doing it more than once:
When my Hero went to Villainside, he was given the University contact in Cap, but all it basically consisted of was "click here" once and it was over. There was no in-depth running around and crafting a second time. I suspect the same would happen if you already completed it in Praetoria. It probably sees that you already have the Inventor Badge and skips you through. -
The C.D.E.C in Imperial City hosts the University content for Praetoria. It includes an invention tutorial, worktables, and the Professor day job location.
-
I don't know of any specific mission or contact to get one in Praetoria, but you always have the option of crafting one.
Since i17, the [Temporary Power: Jet Pack] recipe is available. -

Quote:I already suggested drivers as one of many possible causes. Why not change your drivers and see if it stops happening? You didn't even provide us with which driver version you suspect is the problem. There was at least one NVidia driver release within the last year that was actually causing cards to overheat once in a while as well. If you happen to have that version, you might be slowly killing your card without even knowing it.Its not my video card its the drivers im just checking to see if anyone else has this problem or has seen it on there system.
I have checked the temp of my vid card its normal, also if it was my video card it would do it all the time this happens once in a great while can go for weeks before i see it again just depends. all other games are fine no issues at all
Another way i can tell its the drivers is because if i close the game i have to restart the pc then afterwords its fine because when the pc restarts so do the drivers.
I was basicly just getting it out there incase anyone else has this issue
Thanks for the replies
On a side note, just because it only happens once in a great while, doesn't mean it's not a faulty card. There could be one specific circumstance that is leading up to it that might not be happening very often. For all we know, there could be a very sensitive memory module that is only triggering the problem when it reaches a certain temperature or load. It doesn't necessarily mean it's overheating, it's just reached a lower threshold. That's why it's called faulty. It works after restarting because the load is taken off the card and you are back to square one again.
There could be any number of other problems on a card that will cause an issue like that only once in a while as well. Saying it only happens in CoH does not mean it's a CoH problem. CoH apparently just happens to be utilizing your card's resources more than whatever else you are playing...
..and/or getting back to the driver issue, it could be a problem connected to your OpenGL and the other games you play might use something different. I can't help but notice in your screenshot that only the 3d rendering was affected, yet the 2d interface is intact. That tells me that the card is still operating and sending a normal signal, but is suddenly screwing up during the 3d rendering process.
If you are "just getting it out there incase anyone else has this issue", take note what Healix said... others who have had similar issue in the past ended up needing a new card eventually. It's not good that it is happening and if you think it's a driver issue, you really should correct it before it gets worse. Without giving us more specific information by running the utilities and posting your logs, there really isn't much more we can say.
Good Luck. -
If it never happened to you before Win7, why does that lead you to the conclusion that it's a glitch in the game? Wouldn't you have seen it before too if that were the case?
Anyway, we'd need more info than that like specific driver versions and such. Run the CoH_Helper and HiJackThis logs as mentioend in the "Asking for help" sticky in this forum, and we can get a better idea of specific things to check. At first glance, it does look like a driver or heat issue on the video card, but it could be a number of other things as well. -
Regardless if a team is needed (or even just sliding in behind "somebody else's raid"), I don't see what that has to do with the discussion about needing vertical travel powers.
-
I suppose Tabby could give it a whirl. That should be interesting. lol
