I think that's what Eiko-chan was saying... You don't get that INF bonus while you have debt. The Experienced power can be used like a "Get out of Debt Free" card.

It doesn't matter what time of day you play the game. One full day/night cycle normally happens every 30 minutes... even in the Rogue Isles.

I think this might be what you are looking for...
    ParagonWiki: Ballista EB
    Quote:
Longbow Ballista is an Elite Boss of Longbow. He can be found as a special named enemy type in various missions, as well as part of a zone event in St. Martial. During the zone event, Ballista will spawn in predefined locations between levels 30 to 35. He will stay in place and taunt players who may pass by. When attacked, several Longbow Spec-Ops will reveal themselves and ambush the player. There is no badge for defeating Ballista, and he will spawn at random intervals throughout Black Mariah.

Image from: City of Heroes - Official Giant Monster Guide

As mentioned, there are more EBs that now spawn naturally, and there isn't really any reward for defeating him, so players tend not to bother... especially since a lvl 50 could easily take him down anyway.

Personally, I've killed him before a long time ago. I didn't know anything about the "zone event" at the time, but I saw him standing by himself in the entryway of a structure and figured it would be a fun challenge (I was the same level as him at the time). Once all the Spec-Ops popped out and surprise-murdered me, it became personal.. so I had to go back to finish them all off. haha
  5. You can turn off the "improvements" without having to be as exteme as using Safe Mode. You can start out on Performance and work your way up to whatever it can handle.

Not for nothing, but most systems advertised as a "gaming laptop" is just a gimmick meaning that it has a better graphics acceleration than your average office computer... especially if you are getting it from Dell or HP. It doesn't mean it's made to run MMORPGs well. If you are having that much trouble with it, it might just have an Intel Graphic accelerator in it. For all we know, your "old junky laptop" had something better.

Run a CoH_Helper Report and post the results here so we have a better idea of what you are working with.
  6. The number in the Combat Attributes is not exactly correct. I noticed a long time ago that there must a bug that makes it vary slightly sometimes (by 100 or so at most). To see the real amount you have, click on Menu, then on ID. The real INF value is listed under your character's picture on that screen instead.

Not for nothing, but the /optionsave and /optionload commands should have had the same effect as the buttons to load and save the options.. but either way.. glad you got it working.

    Massive Glitch?

As mentined, you have to kill the whole mob that comes with the Hero. If anybody on the team is not in the Bank, they might go to a different location and then you've pretty much got a "Defeat All" on your hands until you find the right one... unless you are good at finding out where he went. You mentioned you died a few times, so when you went back to the Police station, the other foes you needed could have gone anywhere. Usually if you are solo and stay in one place long enough, they will find you, but it's not always the case. The best thing you can do in that scenario is just keep killing guys and get all the extra time you can to find the ones you missed.

As for the bonuses you saw for payphones, if you mean that you were standing around doing nothing and you got the extra time, it's possible that some of the other enemies in the area defeated them and gave you the extra time.

    Good luck.

No Worries. I'm completely open to being wrong. I added the information to the Wiki because there was NO information at all, so I just went with whatever Turg told me and what the power info said in-game. If something does end up being incorrect, I'd want to make sure it's updated.

I'll just ask Turg to clarify later and somebody can change it if needed. I interpreted half a level as 5 bars. I don't think it means "you will have patrol XP for the next half a level". If so, you'd be right, but I doubt it. I believe it grants you 5 bars like it implies.

The same info you quoted even mentions the one level limit, which is 10 bars. Half of that is 5 bars.
  12. Added to the Wiki:
    78 Month Rewards
    Purposeful Badge
    Experienced

This is the first time I added a page to wiki, rather than editing existing pages, so I hope I did it right. I know there is still more info to add, like the graphic for the power, and a few redirects when searching, but I hope it's a good place for somebody else that knows more about it to start with. At least the information is there now, and hopefully easy to find.

  15. Did we have a rollback? I could swear I already answered this earlier, and the OP even thanked me. lol

    Edit:
I guess he cross-posted it here from Player Questions shortly before I answered him:
help to bring back lost icons

I don't know how I missed this thread unless that's when I got logged out of the forum. lol
  16. I have 2 toons that need them, so I'd be in for that.

I have one heroside that needs the Villains as well if somebody has plans for that also.

That's not true. It can be any of them.

I just tested to verify this just now before posting.
I took a character fresh from Praetoria to Port Oaks and started keeping track...

When I earned the badge, I had killed:
    45 Green (Minions)
    40 Blue (LTs)
    15 Red (Boss)
    = 100 Coralax Kills

As further proof, a screenshot of the chat when I earned the badge after killing a non-Blue one:

On a side note, it didn't take me very long to do.
OP: Are you sure you don't already have it on your list?

You don't need a badge title. We all know that you are a Chosen One Turg, so that's all that matters.
  19. Easiest way to get both to look the same way:
Log onto a character that functions the way you want it to and type:
    /wdwsave
    /chatsave
    /optionsave
Log onto the character that is "broken" and type:
    /wdwload
    /chatload
    /optionload

    Alternately, to fix it manually:
In the options, there is a category for "Status Window Buff Display". That is where you want to Disable "Hide Auto Powers" to get your icons back.
In the chat window, right click on a chat tab and click "Move to Top" (or Bottom). That should give you the dividing line in the middle again. If you only have one tab, then you'll have to right click in the window and click "Add Tab" instead. Then right click on it to move it to the top or bottom. Then you'll have to Edit the tabs to put whatever channels you want back into them.
  20. The scenario I'm about to bring up doens't necessarily fit what you are asking.. but it is a disappointment as well....

...Killing all those Custom enemies in AE and other various tasks just to have the badges stripped a couple weeks later. haha

    Badging question

It shouldn't matter which side you are on. Credit should be awarded just the same, as long as you are taking out the correct targets.

Are you sure the badge you are looking at is specifically for the mages? There are a few different CoT badges. What does the badge text say?

Along those same lines is the Atta mission. I remember people forming teams for that all the time. The funniest part is they didn't realize it was one of those missions that scales up toward the end, so when they walked in and saw -1 and -2 foes inside, they'd go up the difficulty and reset the mission to get Yellow Con.. then end up getting wiped out by the time they get to the boss room by purple foes. lol

As mentioned, the Team window is not named pets. The team window just doesn't have a title on it that says "Team". The word pets that you are seeing is actually a button that toggles the Pet window open and closed. It's not a bug.

In fact, none of the windows have names on them:
The Target window has an "Actions" button on it.
The Map window has no button or title, but has tabs to separate city and zone.
The Powers window has a "Combat attributes" button in it.
The Enhancement window has a "Manage" button on it.
The Inspiration window has no button or title.
The Salvage window has no button or title, but has tabs to separate categories.
The Chat window has buttons to open the Team, Friends, Supergroup, Email (if enabled), and extra Chat windows, and also has tabs to separate your channel categories.
The Navigation window has buttons to open the Map, Contact, Mission, clues, and Badge windows.
The Contact window has no button or title, but has tabs to separate categories.
The Mission window has no button or title, but has tabs to separate categories.

I think you get the idea... Our UI does not have titles on windows. We know what they are by what is in them. Any words on the header are actually clickable options.

The only reason you may be noticing this only on your Mastermind is that the original defaults are for masterminds to have the Pet window enabled, and it's disabled on other ATs. You can enable or disable that window (and the word Pets on the Team window) in the options, or by typing "/optiontoggle ShowPets". You probably don't want to disable it on your MM though, cause then you wont see your pet window anymore. lol

It seemed to me the OP saw the arcs just fine, but was specifically missing the Accomplishment missions on the list. The list Lothic pointed to shows the Ouro category, arc name and level cap, which is exactly what it sounded like the OP needed to look at to find the badge missions.

On a side note, Blondeshell didn't just add that "Villain Badge Mission" list 4 days after your post. It's been there for a while. From the edit history, it looks like all that was changed in that section was the addition of a few more level caps. Whether or not the missions are included up higher and complete or not is even more reason for the OP to be linked directly to the badge mission section rather than the general Arc listing.

I can't say which patch it was either, but I agree it was definitely recent. I never actually used it for the purposes of badges either (I got my badge through other methods a while ago as well), but I do test it from time to time when the question comes up in the forum.

Either way, I tested it again this morning to verify before I made my post. It's most certainly fixed at this point as far as I can tell.
