I agree. I've taken to just opening every section and then every thread I want to check out in seperate tabs before I start reading even one message.

This is to aid those players who have an obsession with getting more money. If they already have infinite money they can stop worrying about grinding and just play the game.

There will also be the addition of the ultimate uber FotM enhancement set. It won't be very useful but will appease those who have to have the best enhancements in their powers.

Or you could find a Big Lots store in your area and have about a 50/50 chance of picking up one or more of the old boxes for $5. I filled out my account with all the extra goodies that way. I got Good vs Evil for $6, CoH collectors dvd for $10 and CoV collectors dvd for $10. That means I also got 3 months of game time for $26.

I suggest going Here and downloading TreeSize professional. You'll only have a 21 day trial before it stops working but that's plenty of time.

When you run it just make sure that your full hard drive is the one in the little window in the upper left and then click on File Search in the taskbar up top. It will scan your drive and tell you how much space is taken up by files in each of the main directories of the drive. And by clicking on each of those directories and see how much each sub directory takes up. It's a very small and very easy to use program.

I agree with FryGuy. You have a ton of stuff running in the background and only 1 gig memory. Always go with the obvious solution first (if it's inexpensive at least).

Have you monitored the cpu temp to make sure it isn't getting too high? You might not have good enough contact with the heatsink. Not enough thermal paste, too much thermal paste, sink and fan not fully locked down. It's an easy thing to miss and will start causing crashes when it comes under enough load to really heat up. Which of course CoH is excellent at causing.

You can now find global names without them getting mixed in with the same words in titles or descriptions. Putting the @ in front of the name now actually searches for the @globalname string.

I on the other hand would ignore it unless it happens repeatedly. CoH occasionally glitches like that. And by occasionally I mean that sort of thing hits me maybe once a year.

But it's your call Nimrod. Depending on how concerned you are.

Better you taking the bath than your computer.

Garlic is toxic to cats because it causes anemia, but it's not all that toxic. A cat would have to eat a couple ounces of garlic a day for a couple weeks to develop significant anemia.

Just like dogs and chocolate. Yes chocolate can kill them but it takes one ounce of milk chocolate per pound of body weight to kill a dog. So if your 20 pound pug eats a single candy bar it will be fine. Dark chocolate on the other hand is significantly more dangerous.

You said none of them will ship to where you live. Is that some place other then North America? If it is then unfortunately you probably can't buy from the ncsoft store and will have to get a box version from somewhere.

Whoa! A "stop the AE madness" idea that I actually really like. It should be doable since patrol exp is bankable and usable only outside the AE.

Specifically designed for teams. Difficult but not overwhelming. Many things are skippable (through stealth or avoidance) if pressed for time.

Custom villains and a storyline specifically designed to have a silver age feel.

If you run it in test mode then you can make yourself invisible (untargetable) or unkillable.

While on trial you will not be able to use any of the universal channels like broadcast or request and you will not be able to send private tells (known as whispers in other games) to other players. You will only be able to talk in local and in the help channel.

Feel free to start in Atlas if you want but completely ignore any invitations to AE teams. Run ordinary missions or if you see groups looking for members for "sewer teams" feel free to join those.

The sewer teams will give you a good idea of what mass team combat is like and the ordinary missions will give you an idea what ordinary missions are like. Do not be afraid to die. For the first 10 levels there is zero penalty for defeat. You can be teleported directly to the hospital where you will be as good as new. The only setback is that if you want to continue what you were doing you'll have to run from the hospital back to there. And with the right teammates and inspirations you won't even have to take a trip to the hospital to be back in action.

If you choose Virtue as your server though just saying in local that you are new to the game and need a non AE team should get you plenty of volunteers. Some will be invites to teams and some will be offers to help you form a team.

I had just the opposite experience. Family killed my MA. Ma was just sitting on the porch when along came a Capo and a couple of Button Men in a drive by shooting. Well, more of a run in slow motion shooting actually but you get the idea.

Good idea to post your CoHHelper and Hijackthis regardless. But my guess is an Nvidia card with the 186 drivers. Update to the new just released drivers or roll back to the 185.

No spam all button but an ordinary delete all button would be dandy. I've stopped ignoring as spammer anyway. I don't want to keep pushing the obnoxious people that I intentionally ignore off of my ignore list.

Once in the combat attributes window you can right click on any of the categories and monitor them. There is a limit to how many you can monitor though. I don't know what it is since I usually only monitor a couple. Exp to next level and Inf.

The memory problems shouldn't be that bad with that setup. However here are a couple things you can do to help.

Before zoning or accessing the market type /unloadgfx It will help a little bit.

Also the character select screen seems to have a memory leak so if you switch characters and take a break while at the character select screen you should probably quit to desktop instead.

I've picked up all the various out of date editions at Big Lots for anywhere from $5 to $10. Of course there aren't that many places that have Big Lots stores but if you do have one locally you should know that they seem to be the dumping ground for many dated games.
