I did find the episode to be the most depressing one to date though. Somehow it brought home the death of the time lords and The Doctor being alone in the universe more than any of the previous episodes have done.
And yet it leaves an opening for the return of time lords. We have a planet that completely devoid of life. Yet it contains a metric buttload of rift energy, multiple time lord body parts, and multiple tardis parts. And it's outside the universe which means that it's universal laws are not necessarily the same as in our universe. Those time lords just might end up regenerating like The Doctor's hand did. -
I'm thinking Nemesis would be a big fan of Ghostfire

It's true that the fight scene was completely lame. Almost every Smallville fight scene has been lame. But it could have been worse. If it had been handled by the Heroes crew the barn doors would have slammed shut and bright light would have shot out between all the boards. Cut to next scene.

The only water in the forest is the River.
My prediction, at some point they will be going back to the library planet. They will be tricked into believing that Amy is in the matrix but only the River is there, not the Pond.
Or it will be some other forest with River but not Amy. -
Oh, and about Apokolypse? It left me feeling like Clark should have been collecting four stones and Mila.
But as for GAs triple shot take down of the minions it was foreshadowed and obvious. He got the bow of Orion and also the bit about how the power is not with the bow but the archer. Yes it would have been better if he had held the bow horizontal but compared to some of the other shots he has made that was insignificant.
Supergirl? She went to become a member of the Legion as was mentioned in past episodes. And that was considered as a spin off at some point. Who knows, if the CW feels the need for another supernatural (meaning greater then natural, not meaning the awesome series that follows Smallville) angsty teen drama perhaps they will revive the idea. -
Well, it's obvious how much Rosenbaum made the show. When he was on screen the show came alive again. I mean it wasn't totally horrible when he wasn't there but he was the strongest presence.
Hearing the theme was awesome. I would have liked to at least see a guest appearance by Pete. -
Quote:Ok, I have to agree. Whoever designed the resistance bases is either psychic or a fan of the series.

This can happen if you come within the predetermined aggro dialogue distance at the same time as you arrive in the idle dialog distance. This will happen in many missions where they are in a room that is physically close to the entrance. As in a corridor branches off and doubles back so that the room they spawn in is close to the entrance room.
Not sure if this is what you are seeing but tip missions often take place in buildings that have that exact setup since they tend to be smaller maps. -
God I hate Syfy so much. And the writers for turning what was a mediocre series to a great one. Yes I can still find plenty of flaws with the series and their logic but I enjoyed the hell out of the past few episodes. Hopefully they will do a few movies to wrap it up.
Now for my solutions.
One, they should have collected the drones left over from the two ships they destroyed. They have used them before and could likely manage it again. Each group they added would act as additional defense and assault capability.
Two, they could have refueled at a different star. It wouldn't have to be a blue giant. It could be anything that wasn't along the gate path. This would give them the extra power needed to spend more time working on getting the ship and stasis pods repaired.
Three, the shuttles have their own power supply and life support. Undoubtedly they aren't meant to be a long term solution but the remaining shuttle could probably give Eli several weeks or even months to continue working on the stasis pod solution or other alternatives.
Four, not really a solution but something that could have happened for next season or could happen for a movie. Eli could sit in the chair. Maybe even open the contained area with Ginn in it. They could have months of subjective time to figure out a solution. -
That really depends on if her video card is good enough to handle ultra mode. If it is then this thread contains a pretty detailed explanation of what each setting does.

Well, if others weren't seeing it as too dark then I'll have to try a different theater next time.
-
So she put injured people or diseased people into the beds and kept them on some sort of life support that would keep them going even if they were on the brink of death at the time she grabbed them.
But she left the captain of her ship to die of a cold while he was sitting in his chair? -
I really enjoyed it but thought it was too dark.
I don't mean dark as in mood but as in lighting. Most of the movie took place at night and even when they would be in well lit rooms you could look around and see 3/4 of the screen was darkness and shadows.
The majority of the action scenes were in darkness too so you got to see Thor in action but the action was blurry. Jotunheim was practically pitch black. And even when he fought the destroyer in broad daylight it was only light until he regained his power. At which point they took the fight to the inside of a dark tornado where you could sort of see that he was whirling his hammer.
And I didn't see the movie in 3d either which would have made it even darker.
But other than that I had no complaints at all. The warriors three and Sif were near perfect. -

And they can't do it on the weekend? I know if I worked for the company and my boss asked me to come in and unleash giant robotic killing machines on the hero and villain populations I would happily do it for free.

It wasn't game breaking for pvp. The only way you could get knockback like that was level 50s on level 1s. I know because I used to punt hellions myself.
And I remember those videos too TeChamelion. They involved characters in that little park with the lake. One would launch a Hellion towards Atlas and the other would skeet shoot the hellion then run after it with SS. -
Some moderation is good. Over moderation is bad.
It's the difference between having a team leader who tells you which section will be cleared first and what AVs are priority targets
and having a team leader that tells the MM which pets to upgrade, tells the Rad which targets to apply his debuffs to and tells the scrapper what attack chain to use then kicking anybody who doesn't obey.
The first type works off the assumption that the people involved are generally intelligent and will know what to do. The second type works off the assumption that they are the one in charge and must be obeyed with no questions asked.
If you want to run a successful channel you have to do it the same way. Occasional off topic chatter is fine so long as it isn't preventing the channel being used for it's intended purpose, and most people know that. I have never seen a heavily scrolling global channel except for those intended for general discussion or rp. A few questions and comments does not constitute complete anarchy.
I now like to refer to those tightly controlled global channels as Praetorian channels. Shut up citizen, it's for your own good. -
My thought on it is that the drones had wiped out all technology in the area and then went into hibernation mode. They didn't wipe out the gates because the gates weren't being used at that point in time.
Then the Destiny Duplicates created technology and used the gates but the drones still slept on because they were hibernating and no active scanning for technology was taking place. That's why the DDs were able to build a society without interference.
Then Telford's aliens blundered into or close enough to a group of drones to wake them up. At that point the drones started out on their quest to wipe out technology again including active detection. But, they still could only detect low level technology at a limited range. Ordinary broadcast technology still only travels at the speed of light. The DDs were several gate jumps away which would mean it would be a long time before the radio waves created by their civilization could reach the area where the drones were.
Then Destiny came through using a stargate at each of their stops. It was like leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for the drones to follow. However the drones they are meeting up with now are most likely from another hive that was awakened by an encounter. So Pittsburgh managed to drones around that cluster of planets by fleeing from gate to gate while trying to get away.
Now in the finale either Eli will come up with a virus that will spread through the drone fleet causing them to regard even other drone technology as targets. Or it will be unresolved and we can assume that the drones are going to now keep spreading out in that area until all of the DDs are blasted back to caveman level at which point the drones will go back into hibernation.
And as a final thought. Maybe the reason the planet of the intelligent beasts didn't use technology and tried to kill the crew of the Destiny is because they knew those idiots were probably waking up the drones. And the beasts themselves were caveman level types from a previous drone purge. -
Just try living on the west coast. They always do these events during their office hours. You know, the hours when pretty much everybody is at work and can't possibly attend.

Deleted now but at one time on several servers I had "I personally"
Resulted in braggart citizens.
"Word on the street is I personally foiled a hellion plot."
"Did you hear I personally rescued the fortune teller?" -
Seems kind of pointless to me because honestly the trial version of this would probably lose it's entertainment value after only a couple weeks anyway. Even less time if somebody were to play it every day.
On the other hand it amuses me how many people posted an emphatic NO to the suggestion and went on to rant about how bad free to play is. They obviously didn't even read the suggestion but only responded to the title of the thread. -
Ok. On your desktop click on start and then control panel.
Then click on Appearance and Personalization.
Under Display click on Make text and other items larger or smaller.
If it is set to 150% then change it to 125% or 100%.
Having this set to 150% causes CoH to distort.
Your icons and text will get smaller but unless you have really bad vision you will be used to it after very little time. If you can't get used to it then I suppose you can switch back and forth each time you play CoH. There might also be a way to have it automatically switch modes but I'm not aware of it. -
Ummmm... whoops? You ran Hijackthis just fine but you didn't run CoH Helper. You ran the official city of heroes test program which contains tons of stuff that really only helps the devs. And they will only look at it if it's sent to them as a file.
So here is how to do the CoH Helper. Go here CoHHelper and download that program then run it. There will be a button that says Forum Output. Click on that button and the program will run. After a short time a window will pop up saying that the information has been saved to the clipboard.
Once that window pops up you can close the program. Start a message here and just ctrl-v to paste the results. You don't have to copy the results from anywhere else, they will already be on your clipboard. And the results will easily fit into one message. -
Today I've tried to connect twice and both times got in and was able to log in quickly.
