  1. I won't list all 7 bases (because, seriously, that's a lot of different configs) but generally we favor Enhancement tables and Salvage racks, a half dozen of each at minimum. Salvage bins always get built first to help defray IO building costs. Enhancement tables tend to fill with useless DOs and some SOs, until we get to IO crafting when I start clearing everything else out.

Always at least a couple insp bins for anything bigger than small, or specials like presents, ambrosias, etc. Salvage Vault of course.

We tend to server hop between Infinity (original home), Freedom, Virtue, and Champion. We'll fill a server with alts to whatever point feels comfortable, trick out the bases... then promptly abandon them for a new project I've been a proponent of an in game mail system for a while just because we've got stockpiles of stuff sitting around doing nothing, because we don't use that SG much after it's built up

    Dual tank teams

    Shield/Fire/Pyre and Shield/Stone/Earth.

Grant Cover and Phalanx Fighting cover each other and edge you that much closer to soft cap defenses.

Extra AoE and general damage potential from AAOs and alternating Shield Charges.

Fire/Pyre for ridiculous AoE damage potential. (Combustion, Fire Breath, Fire Sword Circle, Fireball, Melt Armor)

Stone/Earth for ridiculous AoE control potential. (Fault, Tremor, Quicksand, Salt crystals, Stalagmites)

Edit: Not to mention plenty of hard hitting ST+DoT from the single attacks
  3. So why the hell can't we set up a direct draft account with the City like I do for my ACTUAL electric bill? The bill pops, they draw what I owe, and send me a receipt. I never have to see anything but the statement.

Also, WHERE is all my prestige going? Were they saving it to build the Architect buildings? The Faultline Beautification Fund? I want transparency

Addendum: I'd also love to see a more "natural themed" epic.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Same here. I'm running a Shield/Axe Norse-themed character up through mid levels right now, and despite the thematic fit of Arctic Mastery, I'm not totally on board with it, since I took it on another Tank already.

Keeping with the theme of Tanker Epics getting blasts and controls, plus some recently added debuffs, I'd love to see a Natural mastery get a mix of TA and Archery.

    Entangling Arrow
    Ice Arrow
    Aimed Shot
    Acid Arrow
    Exploding Arrow

The bow is something most Natural origin characters could accept, since there are ancient/arcane/modern options and explanations, whereas something more like an assortment of weapons and gadgets might be too far fetched for some people's thematics. And even scaled for Tankers, it would be a pretty cool epic set.

I'm with Zekiran though: I'd love for them to take a break from the shiny and just polish this baby till it glows. There are a LOT of long standing bugs, zones that need revamped, contacts that need reworked, systems that "work" but could "melt face" if they got some attention (CoP and base raids, and bases in general). I'd be willing to wait through a whole issue of completely QOL/revamp type efforts before seeing anything new and ground breaking.

    Centurion:
I know, I can't wait to see how they deal with the gray area. I've got several characters that aren't necessarily hero or villain all the time, they just went where they made the most sense. Further ways to blur that line are most welcome.

    Solo:
My guess would be a fairly standard power spread, with a varied set of secondary effects. Similar to Gunslingers, who can do a wide variety of damage types and effects on top of their bullets. Just a guess (hope) though.

    Razor:
It will more than likely be that very character switching sides, I highly doubt you'd become an entirely new AT, that seems extreme. More likely you will come over to the new side with your current powers intact.

I've been waiting for Pistols for a loooooong time, being hugely jealous of the Malta Gunslingers. They have such a sweet bag of tricks. I'm anxious to see how it translates to player sets
  10. We'll see. It looks as though they may be leaning toward a single pistol instead of dual wielding, just going off the video. Then again, "cocking a single pistol" may just have been for dramatic effect

Edit: On further viewing, he has a holster on each hip.

  12. It's cool, I just mean cut the number of dashes in like half. Gets the same effect, and doesn't spread the forum way the hell to the right of the screen
  13. AHHHHHH horizontal dashes!!!!

    Kill it, kill it!!
  14. Beautiful, I love it. Heartily agree that it would be nice to have all that data available from the selection screen. Can't list the number of times I've logged in just to figure out how much inf a character has. Especially like the costume change option, since I usually like my latest costume more than my original

On I14 Test I was able to hack in Rularuu the Ravager as a Contact. However, it proved to be impossible to use because 1) I couldn't find a spot to click on him that actually worked, and 2) he was bigger than the building (his torso was on the floor where the contact should be, his robe continued into the bottom floor and his head was above the rooftop...all three of him).

What is this Orange thing everyone is going on about? I see nothing in the announcment that has the word orange in it. There's orange text in the forum post but that's about it...

    [/ QUOTE ]
Haven't seen a response to this. Was it an easter egg they pulled after a while? Nothing in the forum post or the main site post says orange, anywhere.

What in the great-googly-moogly is Steam?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Quick answer:
    [ QUOTE ]
Steam is a digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer and communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. It is used to distribute a wide range of games and related media entirely over the internet, stretching from one-man independent efforts to some of the world's most popular games. Steam is set apart from its peers in terms of functionality primarily by its residency in the system tray, and the desktop tasks that the client software performs to make use of that position.

  19. So, I've tried to ignore the AE spam in Broadcast. Really tried. But I've started 4 new characters for a new theme SG since I14 dropped, so I've spent a LOT of time in Atlas lately. I used to hate Peregrine because of all the people whining for farms and PLs. Now Atlas is significantly worse.

What are the chances we could get an Architect specific Chat Channel for that kind of information? I know there's really no way to force people to use it, but given the use people get out of global channels for requesting anchors, organizing TFs, etc., there's at least a chance that a lot of that traffic could be moved off of Broadcast.

That way, people concerned with AE missions (authors, runners... farmers), even those doing the 'only level in the AE system' would have a central place to go for information on people's arcs, and Broadcast can go back to people looking for teams, announcing Costume Contests, and engaging in inane babble that lets us find out who needs to be /ignored.

    Thoughts?

  22. We're tied, PK, I was last in the other thread

And waiting for them to lock the third
  23. Ooooo really. Hadn't thought of that. Hmmm. I'll have to remember that on the off chance it happens again. But given the number of possible doors just in Talos, what are the odds?
  24. The door that AE forgot. The front door of the building that was demolished for the building of the AE.

    Hard to get to
