For a cheap farmer you need CEBR.
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=267375
This thread will show you in great detail how to make an excellent AE farmer with almost zero (seriously you don't even really need to buy SO's) investment. -
RttC's taunt could use a little help, but I always seem to find better places to put that slot.
-
-
Most skip unstoppable because of how hard it crashes.
On Invuln you can get 45% S/L/E/N/F/C defense. This coupled with great S/L resists and pretty good other resists means you don't ever really need Unstoppable either. -
A thugs/sonic MM using burnout for double gang war. 26 pets is probably going to be pretty hard to beat.
-
A Sonic Resonance Mastermind, maybe? Pair it with whatever pets do the most DPS.
-
Seriously Arcana, you know way too much about this game for it to be healthy.

Quote:This is what I thought at first but I tested it by using extraction on a body immeadiately after I defeated it and it still failed.this only happens usually because the body despawns as your power is animating and by the time you finish animating, but it should be usable on any NPC body
This was during an Apex TF in the defend PPD station phase and I was using the clockwork that spawn (not the goliaths) and none of the defeated bodies would work. -
Since we are on the subject of fluffies, are there any types of dead bodies that you can't use for dark extraction?
I have been playing my warshade alot more now that I've invested in him fairly heavily and I've been noticing sometime the animation will happen and no fluffy spawns. -

I made that some time ago on the tanker forums for someone looking for a "superman" build. IIRC it is softcap to S/L/E/N/F/C with only 1 in Inv range and has Super speed, hasten, fly, and laser beam eyes. -
DDR becomes less useful once your at the softcap. The less often you get hit the less often you need that DDR to keep your defense high. Most of the defense debuffs that will ever be coming at you in large numbers (Romans, Machine guns, and PPD) are very small. I think at most about 7%.
So at 90% DDR that 7% turns in 0.7% leaving you, mostlikely, still over the softcap. Edit: Short durations also mean that one usually leaves before another hits.
Even at 50% DDR on my Invuln, I never seem to notice defense debuffs. Though, this might be more because in a mob he's up at about 58% defense to all but Psi and that extra breathing room makes a big difference. -
Quote:Now, I have to make all of these and broadcast them in Freedom Atlas as Teh Uber L33t5 new farm.Sooner or later something was going to be done about res farms. I just stupidly held out hope that the dev team would use this as a reason to buff the rez in /Regen.
There is a reason that you use the /Regen rez and that is that the power poses no risk or increase in the chance to fail.
I would be much happier with a buff players response over a nerf the farm response.
If the power didn't flat out suck it could have never been used in this manner.
You don't see RotP, Soul Transfer or Resurgence being used as the rez power in AE for a good reason.
RotP from 16 foes is going to hit for 100+ pt's of KB and you have only 12 points of protection and 0 resistance to it and 50+ stun thats going to drop your toggles and end the farm real quick. Never mind the massive damage from that many RotP's. Heaven forbid you hit 40 mobs with ION and get smacked with that inferno.
Soul Transfer: Hits for a mag 30 stun per mob. 16 of those and your toggle dropped and dead. Again if you led with Judgement your even worse off.
Resurgence: At 1st glance seems like it isn't that bad but the +tohit will mean that the mobs will nail you even with venge or 4 purples running. The +damage and +recharge get them the dps to drop you even with your capped res. This one is possible to deal with but it is by no means something you would have wanted to deal with in a farming mission.
So with these examples why nerf the type of farming instead of buffing a truly lame player power?
Either way the farm goes away but at least with buffing Revive you can tell the players hey we gave you a buff.
LOL. -
For a jumpsuit look, I think that I would use a baggy top and baggy pants with some sort of large tech belt in the middle.
This could really turn out well with one of the steampunk backpacks and some lab goggles. -

Quote:Do we know if MARTy is broken and not working at all or tweaked from beta where it was most definately was killing farming in AE?I think its far too early to definitively say whether or not MARTy is working.

Quote:THAT IS AWESOME!Probably also a Dark/Dark Blaster (alternate version of my main), and quite possibly a Ninja/Time MM just so I can shout "IT'S NINJA TIME!" at people.
I'm definately making a /time corr, probably fire or dual pistols.
Also, some sort of /EA brute and a dark/em blaster are in the works. -
I've been really enjoying it on my PVP stalker. Hits like a truck since damage in PVP is based on animation times IIRC.
Still, I'll second the comments on it getting over-nerfed and being generally a bad choice. It is not useless but it is definately underperforming. -
Quote:The softcap is overrated on the forums especially for many AT's, but for a defense based secondary, even shield which has decent resists on a tank, I wouldn't call it overrated.Softcap is over-rated. As some have mentioned, the secret is good Inspy use.
My Shield tank (dont remember exactly) sits around low to mid 30s without IOs, has some endurance issues which are also fixable with Inspies and destroys spawns ( Shield/SS ).
Also the only thing slow is how long it takes to get thru a spawn. But that actually makes the battle feel like a 'real' conflict as opposed to 'click-click-done'.
If you are trying to min-max and get ultimate XP/minute then you need to IO and consider all AT possibilities. But if your looking for an SO-only farmer, Tankers are the best I have played. Side-note here : I hate hospital trips. If not, then I might be singing the praises of another AT.
I'll 100% agree its all about the inspirations. Plus softcap means you can use macros and turn those purples you'd need into reds for MOAR DMG. -

I NEEDED cardiac on mine. I think that is more because of my build and my style of play. Even at T3, I can still kill my blue bar if I'm constantly spamming my AOE's.

If your willing to invest in it, there are very few circumstances in the game where a Brute will not out perform a Tank. The Tank's added survivability is usaully wasted. A brute is almost always more than tuff enough and does more damage.
