I'm having this same exact issue. It started for me on Wed.
It only happens when not in an instance.
I can stand in an instanced mission for hours with no issue.
Zone outside and start to travel to the next one and lost connection message happens pretty quick.
It's forcibly disconnecting my adaptor too. Making me reconnect manually before getting back on.
No other program does this. As the OP stated, I too can run internet with no issue for hours. It's something with the game.
My friend thinks its the wireless signal not being able to transmit the larger amount of data. I'm going to try plugging the modem directly tonight and see if that solves it. -
You don't. No way that I know of and sending additional tickets would just clog the system.

As a casual player with severe Altitis it took me a total of 4 years to get my 1st 50! On the 1st toon I created.
I was in no rush to 50, obviously, for me the adventure ends at 50. My Hero is in semi retirement. So it took me forever to reach that milestone.
It helped that I had no interest in Kheldians this whole time.
Once I did unlock them I rolled one up just cause I could and was not impressed.
My highest level villain is still only 41. So I might take a look at VEAT's now.
I used to have the mistaken notion that having a Kheld meant you were uber/skilled. I looked at it as an achievement. Of course, this was back in the day when getting to 50 actually took some effort.
It doesn't really bother me that new players can get them at 20 now. I still see them as being niche AT's that aren't for everyone. More options is seldom a bad thing afterall. -
Was having this problem myself. The ATI fix worked perfectly though!
Thanks for the link Mod08 -
I'm in the same boat. Whenever I'm outside I'll get Lost Connection mesages every few minutes. Sometimes they last for a moment then I'm back in. Doesn't seem to happen when instanced though.
Oddest part is, after the 3rd of 4th LC message my adaptor actually disconnects from the internet completely. Forcing me to manually reconnect it.
My friend suggested that it was my wireless router not being able to handle the larger amounts of info now being passed back and forth.
I really hope thats not the case though.
Ultra mode settings seem to make no difference in the LCing problem. -
Count me in for the train sound.
Man is it loud too!
Usually starts up about half-way through the load screen. Right before the ingame sounds take over. -
Haven't had a chance to really enjoy it yet but so far two things stick out to me.
I love, 100% adore, our new personal bank account feature!!
The Protean mission was really intriguing as well.
Looking forward to trying more when I get home. -
Correction.
You 'Got Paid' to meet BAB's!
Thats even better! -
Hero 1 is deserving of a statue. Now that we know his true fate and all it seems even more fitting.

Quote:/ThisIt's far more likely that console gaming will die before PC gaming, especially as the consoles become more and more like computers themselves. I'll possibly be dead by then (only because I'm old now), but I can see a time in the near future where all your electronics will be controlled by a central computer of some sort (and this can actually be done now, more or less, if you want). Things will integrate more and more as time goes on.
I remember way back in the mid 90's I tried out this thing called WebTv.
It let you surf the net, write e-mails, all kinds of stuff just no downloading or printing all from your TV.
I thought to myself that this is the start of it. Eventually we'll have a central computer, like on Star Trek, that just controls everything.
I don't see the PC dying. At least not entirely. Eventually it'll reach a point where we have a choice.
"Do I want to play COH4 on my TV or laptop?"
I can see it getting to a point when you can be sitting at your desktop, selling in WW, your friend comes over and asks you to lunch so you hit a few buttons and pass you IPad over a sensor. The game smoothly transfers and you get in your car. At which point you tell the navigation system you destination and plug you Ipad in so you can keep playing on your way to eat...
Scary isn't it. -
I guess for me what it boils down to is perception.
Like Fallen said, I'd be percieved as just another person thats not capable of making up their own mind. Even if the reality is I judged it on merits and not hype. The perception from the outside crowd is still there.
Like most have mentioned though. It doesn't really matter. Do what you want and let others think what they will. I was just curious to see if I was alone in that line of thinking. While not alone, certainly a minority.
Is an interesting study in sociology when you think about it. How individuals react to the same situations. -
Well, you could examine all the available videos from panels and cons of our Devs to see if you recognize them. Of course, they were probably one of the myriad of unknowns...

Welcome to the forums Knights Reach! As you can tell, not only is our game superior, our boards are as well!

Yeah, thats how I ended up feeling weak. When I plowed through clockwork like I should've been plowing through everything else I realized what everyone was talking about.
I haven't shelved him, just not expecting a long lifespan either. -
Great name IB!
As an aside. The reason I finally got a cell was I had no choice.
My fiance was driving home one night when she passed a car upside down in a ditch that looked just like mine.
She called the house but I was online (good ol dial-up days)
When she got home the look on her face terrified me. She grabbed my arm and literally dragged me to wal-mart where I reluctantly bought a prepaid virgin mobile. 8 years later and I'm a text-fiend. -
Is this new? I've used Stealth + SuperSpeed on my blaster for years and never noticed any penalty... Then again, I've got Swift on that guy too.
-
Badge hunting becomes Sooooo much easier with this add on!
I DLed it long ago and haven't regretted it once. -
This is why I love our community here. I was going to stick it out on the Psy/MM, got to level 12 and started feeling weak when I shot my 1st clock. Hadn't even thought about pairing Ice with MM.
Rolled one up and it's a big difference. Already it feels more...
Blaster-ish and the sounds don't bug me like Psy started too.
Thanks again! -
Didn't really expect this kind of response. I'm pleased to find out I'm just a weirdo though.
To clarify, I don't dislike something simply because it's popular. I'll just avoid it until the hysteria dies down.
That way, when I finally get around to doing/watching/playing I know it's because I want to and not because everyone else is.
Some of it more than likely has to do with wanting to be 'original' I suppose. But then again, as others have pointed out, that really is a stupid reason.
Although it does pay off in other ways. Harry Potter for instance.
When I finally got around to watching the 1st one I didn't have to wait years to see the next 2, they were already out!
My main reason for making this thread was Kick-***.
I'd been looking forward to seeing it for some time, until the hype machine kicked on and everyone and their grandma now wants to see it.
I was looking forward to seeing it as more of an underground/ in tha know
kinda feeling. But, as others have made clear, I am just robbing myself of the experience in a misguided attempt at being original.
Afraid I can't take credit for 'Sheeple' either. It's a word I learned on the boards here. Not sure from who though. -
That avoids something simply because its popular?
I hate bandwagons.
If something is really hyped or FOTM I'll avoid it like the plague. Even if it's something I've looked forward to.
I refused to watch any Harry Potter movies until the hysteria died down. Then I of course fell in love with the series.
I was still rocking my pager in 2000, refusing to give in and get a cellphone. Now I can't live without one.
I'll end up avoiding Demons and Dual Pistols for at least 6 months after GR is released.
I still haven't made a Shield toon because its still so shiny.
Does this make me weird?
I think it boils down to me not wanting to be sheeple. I don't wanna be someone doing something just because everyone else is. Even when it's something I might enjoy.
Just can't stand being a clone I guess. So I'll wait and let the newness go away, wait until everyone stops gushing over something, then in the shadows I'll watch it, or I roll one up, and ask myself why I waited.
Anyone else avoid bandwagons like me? -
Blasters are far and away my favorite AT.
My only 2 50's are Blasters.
That said, I'm finding it hard to find a combo that can keep me interested past level 24.
I don't like replaying sets I've played so that does limit me in my choices.
I've already decided to remake my all-time fav combo Energy/Energy to go redside with but thats the execption to the rule.
So...
Heres what I've tried.
My 50's are Eng/Eng and Fire/Ice
Ice/Fire, Rad/Fire, Arch/MM and AR/Dev all stalled in the mid 20's
Elec/Elec made it to 32.
This week I rolled up a Psy/MM that seemed to be really sweet.
I was thinking about making him a pure ranged blaster since my playstyle tends to sway more towards blapping.
However I came to the boards and found a few threads that say Psychic Blast is woefully weak compared to other sets. That Psi is heavy resisited late game etc etc. So, not wanting to have yet another blaster get shelved I went back and made a
Sonic/Eng (I so wish we had more secondaries)
But after 8 levels I was missing my Psychic blaster, who simply felt stronger. Which has me at a crossroads of sorts.
Which one should I stick with for mostly solo play?
Is Psychic Blast really as forlorned as most suggest?
I'm a casual player that doesn't really bother with recipes or min/maxing just not wanting to be really hampered by a sets lack of..... Ummppf.
Looking for comparisions on the two sets, pros/cons, that sorta thing. -
Went back and checked my newest heroes and yep it was The magic man I was thinking of.
Thanks for the tip about Darin Wade. I've never run his arcs before so I'll have to check em out! -
Thats the one! I could've sworn it'd been redside though. Guess thats one of the side effects of severe altitis.
Always stuck out in my mind as one of the more interesting battles, was the devils timepiece he was using. Anyone know of more like this on either side? Just missions in general that stray from the normal formula or give you unexpected objectives.
We're duoing our way through and actually reading the content this time.
Makes it more interesting in my opinion.
