It kind of goes against a hero's personality to go "Look at me! I'm so great! Let's make a statue to signify my greatness!"
The statues for fallen heroes are as a tribute to their sacrifice. If the hero is alive, it's kind of vain and selfish.

Actaully, in all seriousness, it does puzzle me why the statues around the city are...so bland? They're just big hunks of rock, with standard costumes and standard poses. Bar Atlas and Galaxy Girl, and Talos I guess, I don't know ANY of the other heroes. Why did they get statues? What did they do? Why do they look so dull?

So I think She's earned a statue, if only one in Croatoa that doubles as a powerful ward against Redcaps and so forth and possibly able to become a magical Avatar for her for when heroes need help laying the smack on Jack and Eochai.

Waggling a finger disapprovingly with a plaque underneath that says "Positron is watching you."
I'd go for this, providing BaB's gets a statue of himself in High Heels, Nelson gets a Statue of being assaulted by a short blonde girl, and Television gets a statue with ribbons draped on the antennas.
I'd also like to request a statue of myself running in fear from the devevelopers for making these aweful suggestions.
Heroes aren't remembers as great heroes until they die. Most of these statue are a reminder of our fallen comrades. However i am surprise to see no Hero 1 Statue Yet in this game WTF.

Hero 1 is deserving of a statue. Now that we know his true fate and all it seems even more fitting.

One of the things I love about Heroes is the gargantuan statues of past heroes. There's nothing like like flying/jumping/speeding/teleporting through the zone and discovering a giant homage in the middle of the city. Of course, when you're new, there's more excitement to seeing them. But since you can only be new once, how about some new statues. And instead of being statues of fallen/past heroes, how about some of the Phalanx Team or any of the red names?
My first suggestion would be a statue of Positron. For a cool pose, I would suggest any of the poses of Positron which can be seen in this image gallery. You may need to have a profile on Facebook to see it, but as long as it's one of those poses, it would be golden!
