Loves me some badges. Though I've only got 1 dedicated badger. There are specific ones I search out on alts when it goes with the concept.
I.E. Spyhunter, weatherman. Those types.

IIRC at 1st she was considered a 'threat' but we Heroes didn't feel right harming a defensless lake monster. So they changed some text to make it seem like we're just petting her.

That and she was on a really long timer. Meaning, if someone petted her at 8pm, don't expect to see her again that night.

He doesn't want to find out if he's wrong and you know what. He's not.
It's his choice.
Personally, I find it very... limiting, but thats how he chooses to play.
He's not alone, sad to say.

I've never understood this mindset of X AT must have Y power.
Yes some powers are great to have, others are situational at best.

As listed above, my own reasons for dropping SB may not apply to everyone. As an aside. My dual build does still have it. Simply because my duo partner likes having it.

If you feel like a purp'd out Kin with Fulcrum Shift, Transference, Inertial Density and the Siphon's, Recall friend, Aid other, not to mention the heal

It's probably due to the fact that my playtime has been really late.
Usually between 12am to 3am central. But I always see her.
Every. Single. Time.

I'm usually the only one in the zone though.
and as was mentioned before, always on a toon with the badge.

I'm sure if I needed the badge she'd be in hiding.

Whats even more frustrating for me is;

I'd finally gotten my RL buddy to start dabbing in the market.
He'd been afraid of it for so long, not wanting to bother and not being a
min/max player.
I finally convince him when he gets a drop worth around 10 million.

After a week or so of using it he really started to like it.
Half the time I'd log in he'd be standing there doing various tasks.

Now, well, now he won't even bother. He said it's like learning to drive a car and then being given a submarine.... without water....

All I get are random invite boxes popping up.
My favorite was back before SSK. I was on my 42 in Peregrine. Got a blind invite from someone.
Declined and just for kicks /searched for the name.

They were level 2 in Atlas....

It depends on the build you want.
My DM/Regen couldn't function without it. But, I've become very adept at lining up my targets. Sands of Mu and Shadow Maul rarely hit less than 2 for me nowadays. Usually even more.

That said, a fair deal of Dark Melee users swear by 'Buzzsaw builds'
Where as they have so much +Recharge from IO's that they can cycle through Smite, Punch, Boxing and Siphon Life to make a complete attack chain.

I don't have that kind of recharge, even with Hasten. So I swear by SM.

One thing I like doing is racing my snipe to the target.
I've found that if I start running the instant the animation gets done
I generally land the Bonesmasher (or other melee attack) at the same time! Well, mostly it lands when they hit the ground/wall.

Not exactly jousting but still fun.

I was having this issue as well.
Only thing that fixed it for me was hooking up an ethernet cable directly from the modem.

Issue 17 and wireless don't play well together.

My Kin/Elec defender had it all the way up to level 38. Then I promptly dropped it like it was cursed.

I've never had as much issues with any other AT, any other combo.
Not even my Forcefielder felt as 'shoehorned'

Around the mid 30's I just couldn't take it anymore.
I wanted to scream "I'm more than 1 power guys!!"
In every. single. team.

I'd get blessed out for not keeping it up 100% of the time on one team.
Then the very next team I'd get cussed at for even daring to cast it on
the scrapper.
It got to the point I couldn't stand it.
I started advertising that I would only be using it sparingly, when most needed. Or if we had specific goals that would benefit.

This only led to more frustration, as the growing whines of SB NAO!!
just got to be too much.
After one final team kicked me because I accidentally SB'd the tank when I meant to click the blaster, even after apologizing (the tank was adamant at the start not to be SB'd) I immediately went and vetspeced it out.

I've encountered a few blank stares when they realize I don't have it.
Shockingly though I haven't been kicked. Even when the leader thought I'd been SBing through a few missions, only to find out I didn't even have it.

For me it reached a point where I had 2 choices.
Delete the toon out of frustration
or
Delete the 1 power that caused said frustration.

Kinetic Flux hasn't regretted it once.

Maybe I should have added IMO.

Fact is, I've tried it both ways and SS (even without Stealth) just makes for a cleaner transition for me. The suppresion hits while I'm far enough away to avoid the counter. Instead of plucking me out of the sky as I try to leap away.

Since I never PvP, and like I said, only joust in certain situations I'd never get the timing on the jump right to make it worth it. Much simpler to just charge past them with bonesmasher qued then turn and start blasting as they race to catch me.

I'd argue with that.

It's best done with SS+Stealth.

Que up your melee attack and charge past the mob. Your attack will animate and hit, but you'll be far away. Then just rinse and repeat.

This way you don't suffer the suppression penalty in the middle of the mob!


That said, It's really only useful in certain situations. 9 times out of 10 your better off just sticking to usual tactics.

Really, the only part that bugs me is the bottom half.
It was SOooooo much easier when things went from left to right. This new up to down order is just... annoying frankly.

It's an overly complicated interface for such a simple thing as the market.

In 6 years of playing I've mainly rolled blasters and support types.
I'm finding this Brute to play like a Blaster with defense!!
Once Fury builds up that is.

My Necro/Dark can't make copies of himself. He can use his dark magic to bring the dead to life and control the forces of dark magic.

I guess I could RP it as he's just using the black arts to clone himself...
Then again, thats what the Lich is for.

Right now I just imagine it's pure evil thats been given limited intellect by me.
