What difficulty setting do you use while lvling?
At level 30, Longbow get more attacks. Riflemen, Minigunners, and Eagles get an extra ranged attack, and Flamethrowers get Ignite. At level 40, Spec Ops get a -regen grenade and Nullifiers get a -resist zone grenade.
You'll learn to hate Longbow.

Ah, I was wondering why they were so much harder than they were when I faced them when I was 28. Thanks for that. Also, this may be common knowledge for most but do all types of mobs get a boost like this at 30 and 40?
I despise Longbow with a passion...
No other group gave my Necro so much trouble. Lousy Fire.
Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard

What most groups have, if they span more than around 10 or 15 levels, is various enemy types that phase in at one level and out at another. For instance, Circle of Thorns have Earth Thorn, Fire Thorn, and Air Thorn Casters at various level ranges, and that has a pretty dramatic effect on how dangerous they are to various builds. I think that Longbow actually do this as well - a level 30 Longbow Rifleman is a different beast from a level 29 Longbow Rifleman, but it's harder to tell because they have the same name and appearance.

Ah I have never known that. Thanks. And yeah I ran some non longbow missions with the same difficulties and breezed through them. Looks like I overreacted a tad by posting the question, but oh well I learned something new.
I am wondering what most other brutes use as their difficulty settings while lvling up (so just normal IOs or SOs)? I am mostly wondering cause ever since I hit level 29 with my SS/WP brute I have all of the sudden had immense trouble getting through my usual +1/x3 difficulty setting (I literally died every single mob pack against the longbow) when I had been plowing through it. I want to see if that is an unusually high difficulty for just using SOs in slotting or if I just suck.
