Go to one of the other events then? Now you have more than one to pick from.

Looks like a win to me. They'll probably be back to having a Hero Con the next year.

I planned to attend for the third year in a row, but now it just means that I'll be able to go to a place that's closer.

Whew I was worried I'd miss the Ping's Bust a Move Show this year since I had to pick between a trip to HeroCon or a trip to Florida (Florida won in my house)

Well darn,

I was already making plans to attend my 1st ever Con...

On the bright side I guess this frees up that thousand I'd been holding onto.

For us East Coasters ya still have Dragon Con Labor Day weekend in Atl

Well, I hope some of the championites can make it to Seattle over labor day weekend. Seattle is usually really nice in the summer time.

hmmm... maybe i should make a different thread about this, but i am too lazy.

What you can do in Seattle, even over a 3 day or 4 day visit. Of course, there is PAX, but who wants to hang out with 10s of thousands of unwashed gamers? The Mariners are on a homestand that weekend LOL go M's. I think the indians are in town. Safeco Field is an awesome place to see a baseball game no matter who is playing. Pike place market... see the guys slinging fish! The aquarium, snoqualmie falls. Mount Rainier. The 3rd worst traffic in the nation! Bumpershoot is also that weekend at seattle center. Just dont piss off a cop or you will get your head stomped on.

Anyways, i live about 45 minutes north of seattle and plan to attend the meet and greet. hope to see yall there.

SJ

edit: wth was i thinking, i forgot to mention Experience Music Project... if you are a music fan, this is a must visit. Same admission fee gets you in to the scifi museum.

Not officially. They're at PAX the same weekend, but I'm sure they mean that people can still form their own Meet and Greet for whoever shows up, like they usually do.
