Fire is going to be where it's at for AoE goodness.
I differ on my choice of secondary though. I tried playing a Fire/Fire and a Fire/Mental but found myself unable to handle the aggro from all the AoE madness without some added mitigation.
I then turned to Fire/Ice and found my second favorite combination to date! 1 of my 3 50's and by far my safest Blaster. Was also the fastest levelling soloer I've rolled.
Shiver turns Bosses into jokes and the AoE power in Fire lays waste to everything else in short order. Added benefit of getting to use Rain of Fire with Ice Patch!
I also have an Arch/Mental that has a nice stable of AoE's. Haven't made it to 32 yet though and so far feels much weaker than my Fire/Ice ever did. -
I tried the W bind way back when Flyposes came out but found I didn't like being locked into one. I generally have 2 or 3 I 'approve' of for individual toons and like to switch them up from time to time.
To that end I just make a quick Macro.
/Macro Fly, e flypose1$$ e flypose2$$ e flypose4
This way I just start flying and then click the macro each time I want to switch poses.
Still, if you find you only prefer one then the W bind would be the easiest solution. -
Being my online persona, I don't think I've actually ever heard anyone try to pronounce Mavius. Just for reference though its May-V-us.
I also have a habit of adding Maestro in front of a few of my creations. I currently have 4 Maestro Mavius', Maestro Mystical and a Maestro Morbidus (Can you tell I'm also a fan of alliteration?)
I've been referred to as Maestro a few times ingame since it's my global but truth be told, anyone that knows me well enough to say high usually calls me Jason...
As for the gender issue, I'm with Winterminal. Out of the 136 toons I currently have not a single one is female. I've rolled up maybe 2 over the years but could just never get into it, usually ended up scrapping them after the 1st jump. -
Quote:Remember?! I thought it still was daily (show's how much I notice)Server maintainance is Mondays and Thursdays 7am edt to 9am edt. Patches usually happen on Tuesdays.
I still remember when maintainance was everyday(Mon. to Fri.) 9am edt to 11am edt and patches were done after the Tuesday maintainance.
Had some free time around 10am central Friday, then realized the servers would be down for maint. and did laundry instead.
I rarely play early morning but this is still good to know. -
Yydr always looked somewhat... alien to me. Never knew how to pronounce it so always went with 'why-der'.
I approve of your new name though, as I dated a Lydia my senior year and still smile when I hear the name. -
That's accurate for a toon with good AoE potential and defenses, Blasters need to be careful about enemy types though when setting higher than base.
That said, as a Psy/Mental I think I would adjust the settings to be -1x2 or even 3 myself, hoping Drain Psyche can beef me up enough to mow them down in time. -
Quote:Hmmm, well now I'm back to being confused.Hi Rosaquartz!
Unfortunately, they are not. The Ski Slopes are available, but the Winter event is not active. You may run into a few abominable snowmen on the slopes though!

You see, Sunday night I logged on my MM and pulled up the mission tab to see what I had (been 2 months away).
To my surprise I saw the defeat Snaptooth mission, so I went to pocket D to see if I could still do the mission. Sure enough I could...
I thought it was a bug and just went about running tips. When I saw this thread I thought "Aha!' that's why I was able to run the mission...
Now I'm confused again, is this a bug and I shouldn't be able to do it or is it just because I never completed it during the event? -
While reading another thread I saw that in Issue 21 we will no longer be able to drop unwanted tip missions.
Is this a Bug or considered WAI?
If it's been changed I'd be curious to know why. -
So wait, does this mean I can run my Necro/Dark and have multiple ghosts and servants up thanks to burnout? i.e. Both Grave Knights go down so I summon Fluffy and then hit soul extraction, Burnout, summon another Fluffy and then hit soul extraction again?
Cause that would be sweet.
Multiple Gang Wars? -
I have no need or interest in any of those offerings.
Now, sell me an extra Inspiration tray and I'll be a happy camper! -

Could that be considered the Kosinski Gambit? -

Yeah, in the Trek universe I always figured the inertial dampners were used to insulate from sub-light speed. Impulse speeds. Since Warp involves using a 'bubble' to travel in I always assumed it was like the
'Bubble' in The Explorers in which you could come to an instant stop from any speed without inertia...
Still it's a valid point. Though I would imagine inventing the tech shouldn't be put on hold while waiting for it. Nothing say's we have to have manned flights right away. -
If anything, keep the crash, double the damage and increase the recharge.
What really keeps me from using my Nuke's isn't so much the crash as it's the fact that, even fully slotted, it still won't take out an entire spawn.
The crash fits thematically. Taking Nova for instance. I always looked at it as a last ditch, summon all my power kind of moment. It would make sense that it would leave you a bit winded afterwards. Yet when in practice, it hits more like a slightly built up torrent... and drains you 100%. -
This. It's the only time I use conserve power really. Hit Nuke, pop a blue and conserve and keep on trucking.

What a bum!
I bet he even looks like this...
And just reeks of booze. Nut job...
For the record I haven't read the article yet, this is just the 1st thing that popped into my head. -
Can you imagine if the timing had been off and BaB's just suddenly vanished right as the now gone Dev's flashmob memorial took place.

Looks like I'll finally be able to just outright delete SyFy from my Tivo channels now. Never been able to get into WH13 and I decided not to even give Alpha's a shot unless it gets a few seasons in the can (I'm still bitter over Heroes not getting a proper finale and having No Ordinary Family yanked away right off) Make's me less willing to get invested in a show until I know I can get some sort of closure from it.
Eureka has been in the top 3 of my favorite shows since season 1. Sorry to see it go but it was a good run. I just watched last weeks episode last night and the preview for next weeks gave me that uneasy feeling that "Haven't they already done this story?" We've already had an unseen force literally eating the town with the ice core episode, now they'll present Mites/Nanites eating the town as a completly new concept...
Not to mention that it was starting to get predictable in a Tropes kinda way. Within the 1st 5 mintues of the P.A.L. episode I was able to figure out how everything would be wrapped up due to the 'in your face' way they always introduce the
A. New guy/girl that plays a roll in the case.
B. New invention that plays a role in the case and
C. Focus in on side project that always ends up being Jack's brilliant answer (Ala the goo cooling the reactor.)
I mean, it was a good episode and even featured Felicia!! But within 2 minutes of seeing her I already knew her subliminal MP3's would be the catalyst for the episode and etc etc...
So, even though I really love the show. I'm glad they are ending now instead of having another season when the writers start running out of fresh ideas and instead resort to dressing up old shows up in new outfits like next weeks Of Mites and Men.
Farewell Jack, it was a great ride! -
Quote:This. The griefers will come, they will try, and they will get bored. Kill-Stealing doesn't function well enough for them to get enough jollies here.Keep in mind that even just tagging an enemy counts. There is no kill-stealing in City. If you do some damage to a dude, you get credit for it; just because you didn't land the killing blow doesn't mean you didn't get credit.
I see it as a good move on the Dev's part as one of the biggest complaints from new players is the sparse feel of the zones, when they complain the immediate reaction from us is to inform them about how heavily instanced this game is. That knowledge doesn't erase the 'Feeling' of being alone in the zone to new players though.
This strategy gets more and more of us out of secluded instances and back into the streets to be visible at low levels. -
My sub ran out at the end of the month and I forgot to update to my new card info, oops...
Needless to say I waited a week or so before resubbing and wouldn't you know it. I log in for the 1st time in weeks, click on user CP and BAM, logged out! >_< -
I'd love just a plain ol disc, maybe even a garbage can lid or manhole cover. Perhaps have various animations ala the current flyposes, with sitting, standing, crouching etc... -
Quote:Hey don't tell me, tell the wiki. The Orenbangans *may* have a *slight* issue with Mu-descended anything...
"The Circle of Thorns has possessed descendants of Mu for centuries, and has no intention of stopping. Recently, they have begun possessing non-descendants for investigational purposes. When they discovered Portal Corporation's research, they began to possess employees to find a way to break their deal with their demonic brood. The Possessed Scientist have the same powers of Thorn Casters, and are not afraid to use them."
