I'm not yet sure about the single target damage comparison(I posted the numbers in the StJ scrapper thread), but at first glance the ST DPS seems to lean towards SS, with StJ having more utility(-res, -dam).
As for AoE, SS wins handily. Foot Stomp makes the current tiny radius/cone of Spinning Strike and Sweeping Cross look like a joke, and Rage makes your other AoE's significantly better.

Because without Gloom I was under the impression that SS was fairly low on the ST DPS food chain.

It does bear clarifying though.
I know the 90% of the Brute forum is dedicated to SS/FA/Soul and little else at this point, but I still don't look at one specific build as "SS DPS".
I have an SS/fire and SJ/regen and after some tests, it seems that SS/ pulls ahead (dont worry, i made sure to not use /fire attacks) in AoE buy quite a bit.
I did a lot of testing against cims and i can tell you this. +tohit is epic, SJ can end up having some trouble hitting but SS will almost always be at 95%

I have been looking at the Street Justice powerset on beta, and I was wondering, how does it stack against the beast of power hitters: Super Strength?
The build up is weaker than Rage, but there are 2 AoEs as opposed to just Foot Stomp for SS.
Anyone taken a closer look? I mean, the set itself looks awesome (great graphics), but if I made a SJ/FA Brute, will I be able to wade through the armies of Romulus faster?
