Just wanted to make a snide comment about war and it being good for nothing.

While watching Armageddon tonight, the speech by the president made me realize something. At least in that case, war was good for something. As it was the creation of all those weapons over the years that allowed us the have the means to take out the threat. Had we been a peace loving species that whole time, we'd have been wiped out. Kind of makes all the strife and sacrifice seem even more signifigant.

That said, I agree. Once the Storm has passed I think we've 'earned' a few issues of relative downtime, where various smaller plots can be worked on.

Well, it depends on funds really.

Unlimited funds, I'd probably give the nod to TwoHeadBoy's Arch/Mental build. That thing is pretty wicked looking on paper.

Most likely, I'd go with Fire/Ice as that is still my most 'impressive' Blaster.
Fire has power and Shiver/Ice Patch will keep most everything away long enough to melt.

I have, quite a lot. My uncle worked his way up to detective before making it into the FBI. Also have another uncle working narcotics, he's been featured on 48hours a few times!

Suffice it to say, depending on what floor you're on, they can vary from being more noisy than you can stand (lots of loud conversations over each other) or dead silent.
I've yet to hear a klaxon blaring nonstop though...

I think the ones reacting to the freespec with less enthusiasm are being unfairly singled out as being crybabies.

I don't see it that way, I see it as their neighbor just handed them a pencil (something they have tons of) and said here it's free!
They get a confused look on their face and say a slow "Thanks"

It isn't that they're screaming bloody murder over getting freebies, its that to them the freebie is clutter and they would've rather been given a pen.

That said, I'm happy with anything personally, I just want the 8 year badge on my main and another great year of gaming!

Hmm, only one that comes to mind is my Archery/Mental Blaster. Love the concept and power but I think it's just not flashy enough for me.

When I was in 7th grade, my science teacher was doing her normal teaching thing when she stepped backwards, tripped over a cord and planted herself legs up in the garbage can! The entire class became ultra silent, we feared she was injured from the contortion. After helping her out she dusted herself off and the bell rang.
The next day we got to class and to our shock we had a pizza and movie party! She said it was thanks for not laughing at her, as we could have made it a legend at the school but we showed class. Our class got pizza parties the rest of that year at the end of the every month.

I've always looked at anything they do for us after an unexpected problem as a pizza party. It isn't something they have to do, it's something they want to do. Being classy during the 'crisis' can only serve to increase the odds of a DxP perk or the like.
That said, we should never expect or demand a pizza party, even more so given the general reliability around here.

This is a nifty idea! Long ago we requested a cloning EAT. Then again when doppleganger tech appeared. They seem unwilling to give us a full on Replicant EAT or even a replicating MM, so perhaps Lore pets are the way to go.

While not the best option, having to wait for Lore and all to realize a lvl 1 vision, it's still better than no option.

I usually only toggle on my armors after entering the mission, both for visual reasons and just as something to do. That said, I have taken to leaving Tough and Weave on all the time, since they have no fx, so this upgrade is pretty nice.

If it means not having to resummon my entire cadre of pets whenever I mapserve, all the bettter!

I have a friend that loves to use the word kiddo whenever she's talking down to someone. She knows not to use it with me though.

I put it up there with guys that call you "Boss" or "Chief" in an eye rolling manner.

It's terribly sporadic. My Tivo will catch one episode every few weeks. Though if I recall from watching the Dr. Doom one tonight, it mentioned them airing on Mondays.
