This is a nifty idea! Long ago we requested a cloning EAT. Then again when doppleganger tech appeared. They seem unwilling to give us a full on Replicant EAT or even a replicating MM, so perhaps Lore pets are the way to go.
While not the best option, having to wait for Lore and all to realize a lvl 1 vision, it's still better than no option.

On a srs note, I was actually expecting this to be the Dark Control tier 9. A shadow version of yourself with dark powers rivaling your own. Then we got a dog :\
But anyway, doppelgangers being a power we can use would be awesome.

More on topic, I'd definitely jump on board for clones as Lore Pets, though I'd prefer that they just let us make our Phantoms look that way in Illusion Control.

attacks for the power would be the most complicated part. i'd say that if it was a dimensional/parallel universe themed attack set where you pull yourself from other dimensions/parallel universes or points in time, a teleportation variation of attacks would make sense. also give all the pets the same teleport attack powers, basic brawl and kick attacks and it can still flow pretty well with most themes and secondaries. Or the "you"s from different dimensions can have powers based on those dimensions added to the basic powers of the set. netherworld dimension, fiery dimension, star/celestial dimension, frost dimension, night ward dimension, rularru dimension... idk other dimensional versions of you O_o
powerset: teleport or 'dimensional' attacks
attack - ranged teleport attack
base clones - basic clone no aura
attack - pbaoe attack?
upgrade
attack - teleport cone attack
medium clones - basic clone maybe head or chest aura
special -taoe or pbaoe buff or wave of clones like gang war.
master clone - body aura
upgrade

i'd rock that powerset.
:edit: to add to this idea, the minions could simply reflect randomly the various costume slots of the character but summoning a clone with a model randomly chosen from the available slots. OMG TOTAL WIN.

I had an idea like this for MM primary, but THIS is much better, hell this is one of the best ideas i ever saw for new powers, I have a few characters that would be great with this.

I am serious I have been levelling my speedster and I had no idea what Lore to get... But then I thought of something looking over them... We have 'doppleganger' tech. Why not get lore pets of OURSELVES? Eh? Eh? I mean come on, we encounter 'ourselves' in several areas of the game why not call them unto ourselves?
Only big problem I can think of is differing 'support' and 'attack' self-pets... But this is just a suggestion, not an in-depth one. I just was hoping to get my ElM/SR scrapper fighting with herself 'split' somehow, or heck, there's even one arc where it makes sense you can summon essences of yourself.
