Sorry, but, I have to say.. "Balls!" I'm sure that they didn't intend to have a negatively beneficial proc.. But I suspect it might not have been fixed due to the problem of it then being OP in some circumstances... I have utmost confidence that the devs never sat about and said, "What we need is a proc that buffs the baddies. That'd be in demand!"

Regardless of intent, tho, that doesn't answer the question I asked. Does the thing give the Conductive Aura caster the +End, or the baddies affected by it?

What I don't get is since I don't have to licence, everytime I try to play my characters they feel gimped like the enhancements arn't working. I notice the procs still work though. MY question is, if you go VIP to premium with enhancments still in your char do they quite working?

AS I understand it, you can't use invention origin stuff if you aren't VIP or Premium 'enough'. IE, have earned the right level of reward. I believe you can just buy access to the invention system, tho, so that may be the way to go, if that is indeed true (and I don't vouch for it's veracity, as I've never tested it myself).
  3. I've noticed that even the unattackable escorts/freed hostages even can take falling damage as you lead them out, if you choose a path that includes elevation changes of sufficient magnitude..

    Thought it was cagey myself..
  4. If one were to slot the Perf Shifter proc into Conductive Aura (from the Elec Control set) does it properly give the end to the player, or is this one of those bugged instances where it gives end to the enemies? If it awards to the player, is there a chance for +end per enemy in the aura?
  5. Is there an end date on the Roman costume bundle? Do we know? If not, any educated guesses?
  6. Sweet. Thank you very much for the info!

For the record, that thread looks handy for future use, too. May have to keep that one in mind.

    Thanks again.
  7. I'm not familiar with these 'point based' combos of which you speak, but I assume you mean they *aren't* a giant pain in the butt, with a vastly, painfully, multiplicatively higher chance of failure for each step beyond the first? If so, I'm glad to hear that. Now maybe they might redo DB to have it, too.. That'd be nice..
  8. Coin-B-Gone(TM) for Contacts MTS?

My gods man, if this does what it sounds like does, I think I love you, Zombie! TYVM for this info!
  9. Can someone post a list of what all is in the Roman bundle now for sale in the paragon market? And if any items are new, grab a screenshot? I'm assuming all or most all of the items in this are the items normally unlocked via the ITF. Is that correct? Any exceptions I should know of?

    Thanks all
  10. So, by no supernatural powers you mean, not energy melee? No Kinetic melee? No supernatural strength that can foot stomp making a localized earthquake?
    No weapons either?

So, just down to MA and SJ? I'd go with MA, since I like it's customizable animations better than the fixed ones for SJ, and combos make me nervous ever since Dual Blades, but I'll admit I haven't tried SJ, and doubt I will in the near future.

From what I've seen, tho, SJ looks fairly effective.
  11. FWIW, a 'Huntsman' build can also be quite effective, again depending on what play style you're looking for.

So, really, you have 3 main options with a ton of sub-options in each to try to decide between.
  12. I believe you can also cage some of the Patron AVs if you grab more than your group can handle, but if I recall it takes double stacking.

Haven't personally done it, so I can't swear to that, though.

But yes, it's very frustrating to have the Devs seem to go out of their way to marginalize some powers. A less extreme example is just the teleport travel pool. Any idea how often TP is suppressed, or Recall. If Super Speed and Hasten were suppressed that often, the howls would never end. Or Hover and Fly, or CJ and SJ. But teleport and recall seem to get hit a lot.
  13. Main account is probably a C (maybe B but it's hard to estimate across a LOT of alts).

Secondary account is, like most peoples 2nd, probably an F.
  14. Bummer. But thanks for taking the time to post the info.
  15. Also, once you're a tad more comfortable, I find the Positron TFs to be fairly easy, and fairly fast, and a good way to gain levels in a timely manner, that actually lets you use your new powers you get at lvl 12 and 14, etc. Powers you can't use in the DFB. This translate into getting a better idea about how to play your character, and a better chance to see if you like the way the powers work together. I find it really hard to tell if I like a combo on the DfB trial, but as always YMMV.
  16. Totally agree with Agge. Also, I like the look and feel of Street Justice a lot more, too.

Of course, you could wait and go Staff/Dark....

No clue how well that combo would work, but thought I'd mention it.

    The new Que

I don't think I'll use it much for TFs, but I sure hope it becomes more usable for iTrials. I hate sitting in the queue not being able to do much..

Now I can be running some tips missions or farming something while I wait for an iTrial.

Edit: I said I don't think I'll use it much for TFs, but I still like the idea of it being available to use for that purpose.

Was quite surprised and pleased so making sure others know

Has this been around a while and I just haven't noticed?
It has to be quite new. I tried fairly recently (I actually forgot I was in the queue, I didn't intentionally test it) and it wasn't working that way a week ago. Very pleasant surprise, though. Did you by chance also try to enter a mission while in the LFG queue? If not, I'll have to see if that bit is active already, too.
  20. I've had numerous issues with monthly stipends being awarded in a timely fashion, or with vet badges being awarded, and other things that used to be much more smooth since the transition to Freedom. I don't think I'm being 'cheated' I just don't think the new model runs very smoothly yet. Still waiting on my 5 year vet badge, which is months overdue, and January's stipend of points for the market is 20 odd days late.

Moral of the story, be patient, and report it to support if you have to, but public accusations of 'cheating' are a bit much to leap to as a first step.
  21. Quite a few belts aren't options with the jacket that I don't think would have any collision issues. If there isn't a good reason, perhaps we could get a lot more options added in.
  22. Thanks for the input. I actually want the dual rig regardless, but if one or the other is problematic with CoH, that's the one I want to avoid. If neither are counter-productive, but maybe not very helpful either (at least within the context of CoH), I'd prefer to go CrossFire, for a couple of reason, but I'm not committed to that.

It sounds like as far as CoH is concerned, neither helps a lot, but neither is a drawback, either. If that's correct, I'm plenty happy and will make my choice based on other criteria.

    Thanks again!

Wow, you're right, now that you mention it, I've not seen swarms in a DE mish in ages! I have no clue why now, as you said, swarms used to, well, swarm ya, during DE mishs..
  24. Not sure if this is the best place to post this or not, but I'll try here first, and if needed start a new thread later....

I'm working on a new build for my next PC, and was trying to decide if I should go Crossfire, or SLI. A big deciding factor would if there were any known issues with either when running CoH. Anything I should beware of? Have a head-up about? Or would it be reasonable for one to expect both to perform normally in CoH?

I figure the people that usually provide the answers here would know if there were issues one way or the other.

Thanks in advance for the information,
    Maddy
  25. Mid's just isn't updated yet. The defenders had a longer recharge (in error) when Time first came out. Mid's correctly displayed what was in game, but CoH got the defenders version fixed to be the same recharge time as everyone else's fairly quickly.
