Yes, it benefits. How much value you place on the recharge aspect might vary depending on how much global recharge you already have. And, how much value you get from the -end portion is debatable, too, given that you may well be refilling your end bar even minute and 1/2 or so.

Can the launcher be uninstalled and reinstalled without losing nad having to reinstall CoH, or are the hopelessly intermingled? If they aren't intermingled, I'd might try that.
Or maybe just bad karma. -
Ax is a late bloomer, and might never bloom really nicely without IOs. With IOs it gets plenty beastly, and was pretty solid even by the 20s. At least ona Brute/Scrapper you'll get your good attacks fast enough, but for a tank they may come a bit too late for my taste.
I recently leveled up a Ax/Shield brute, soloed most of the way in regular content, and hit 50 plenty fast. Did the First Ward with her and even against the newer content in the mid levels did fine. Now, at 50s, fully IOed but not incarnated, I can run +4/x8 with her just fine. Gets dicey vs some debuffing enemy types, but otherwise, not too bad. If incarnated, it'd be a cakewalk.
Not sure what more you might want out of a set except perhaps to bloom sooner.
As for Gravity, I liked it all right before the recent changes, but it was pretty weak on offense. Haven't dusted off and brought out my old Gravy, so not sure how effective the new changes are, but I hear they make the set a good deal better. -
For tank buster, I'd join a Sis Psy TF.
If you want to solo, I'd do a flashback Freakolympics arc with as high a diff multiple as you can handle.
If you have to hunt them, I think the best place is Creys Folly. I seem to recall the SE and NW corners of that map having a lot. There is (or was) a freak farm mission that was in the lvl 45-50 range, if I recall, but I think it's been changed. Even if it hasn't, I don't recall who gave that one out. Unai, maybe.
For hunting Fakes, I hit the shadow shard. One of the floating islands in FBZ has a ton of them. Often I can find spawns with 2 fakes, sometimes even 3. I know there is a good flashback arc for these, too, but don't recall the name of it. I personally just street sweep (island hop?) out in FBZ. -

Quote:The "problem" with teams is that there are far too many people unwilling to get off their butts and start teams. They prefer to stand around spamming LFT messages and waiting for someone else to accept leadership.
I have logged on at various times of the day on different servers and seen the same scenario happen over and over. There's half a dozen or more players standing around Miss Liberty in plain sight of each other and each one is spamming LFT for DfB.
I've even gone so far as to form the teams up for them and start a trial/TF and quit only to see them less than a minute later spamming LFT again because none of them wanted the star.
While that's undoubtedly part of the problem, there is no reason to suspect that this cause has changed at all in the entire span of CoHs history. So that likely isn't contributing to any decline in teaming. Assuming that there really is a decline in teaming, and it's not just perception, then trying to combat this cause of lack of teaming is probably not as worthwhile as avenue to pursue as fixing rewards and/or fixing the teaming tools available. -
Seconding gameboy's entire post....
Well, I'm not also gonna send Zwill a PM. I think one PM will be enough. -
Thanks for the info. I assumed that might be the case (knowing that the AE tickets cap at that number) but hadn't verified is they were all the same. Does the same 9999 cap apply to the Incarnate Salvage contents tab? I've got a huge stack on some alts of some types of common salvage, but in no danger ever of hitting 9999. I seem to recall that base salvage capped at 99 of given type, but am far from certain.

I know it's more work, but I could totally get behind solo lore pets that aren't just an enemy type, but are just a theme type.
But, as much as I'd like that, I think I agree that more Judgement options would by FAR be my preference over more Lore at this point. (which is very ironic, in that outside on CoH incarnate stuff, I'd almost always advocate less judgement and more lore) -
Is there a limit to the amount of special salvage you can carry? How many Catalysts are max? How many enhancement boosters? How many hero/villain merits, astrals, etc?
Since this things can't be sold, shifted, or traded, I'd like to know when (or if it's even possible) I am getting close to max so I can make an effort to spend these things so as to make room for more drops. -
Quote:I solo a lot. I believe the soloist complaints are most often one of inaccessibility. I know they are in my case, and I feel that's true for most soloists. I can't choose to do content X at all, because I'm solo. Therefore any reward that that mission/trial/etc unlocks is often totally, or almost close to accessible to me as well (obviously outside of a teaming environemnt; I fully understand that it becomes accessible once a soloist chooses to join a team).. When I run content that can be accessed by teams or individuals alike, the rewards often vastly favour the soloist. This is especially true later in the game.I don't know, seems like there is already a lot of complaints from soloists that the game favors teaming too much. Upping the rewards for teams will only add more fuel to that fire (see the recent debate over incarnate rewards in the new Dark Astoria soloable content vs itrials).
As for the team leader bonus, I might point out that the player with the star is not necessarily the one who built the team or in some cases even the one actually running it. -
I'd tend to agree. Teaming (though not population) does seem to be down. It might be merely a factor of my perspective, I'll grant, but I try to be aware of POV based bias and take that into account. Even allowing for that, I still think it's down.
I personally never have much trouble finding or building a team when I choose to, but as other posters have said, that's because I know a lot of the tricks and have an established network. I can imagine that it's not that easy for everyone.
One part of the problem, I have no doubt, is the poor quality of the teaming tools, specifically the 'Search' feature. It was never stellar, but the overhaul it got with Going Rogue, it's now REALLY bad. I've almost totally stopped using it since that time.
But, I think another problem exists. There seems to be a fairly large gap int he reward levels between regular content, and a lot of other content. This means that the informal/PUG teaming that does happen is almost exclusively the 'special' teams. I don't even bother when I run regular content to try to team. I solo it because I don't believe that the rewards justify other people's time. When I run it solo, I can at least easily follow the plot, which team members can't do as easily. I get the goodies, and usually they don't. I get the end of arc bonuses, they don't. Sometimes, they don't even get the badges, which the mish-holder gets.
Assuming there are any noteworthy percentage of players that think as I do, a lot of vets that run regular content are removed from the teaming pool whenever then run this regular/'lower reward-rate' content. Not sure if this a significant factor, but I think it has to have a least some net total effect.
I think a slight increase to rewards for regular content to place it on a move less uneven footing with trials/TFs/SFs/tips might be worth considering. Granted, I don't think it should be on even footing, but less uneven that it is now. I also think the the 'special' rewards should not be withheld totally from non mission-holders.
I certainly don't claim to know for sure the magic fix, but I would love that the issue gets looked at and some effort made to address it. -
Maybe Hami damage. Not that any of us, as players, will ever be inflicting Hami damage, but it might be flagged this way.

I've found Union to be quite active during that time slot, but as others have said, several servers are viable options. I'm sure both Virtue and Freedom will be usually fairly active at that time, too, so in my opinion, it's more a matter of the feel/culture of the server that's important. And nobody can really advise you there, as it's all up to personal taste.
Regardless of the server, find out and join the big global channels that that server uses to get the most out of wherever you land. -
I use Destiny to shore up the biggest weakness of an alt. If I've build to cap def, but have no DDR, I almost always take the Ageless for the DDR. (Edit: Well, in fairness, I usually grab mez protection from Clarion, but my second choice is Ageless)
I've usually addressed my end issues much earlier. So I see it as a way to further boost recharge and toughen my defenses nicely vs the opponent types that are often the scariest. Also, being able to refill a teammate (or myself) after a crashing nuke is always nice.
In all, I find it very effective. But, as I said, I've never needed the extra recovery at this point, so I don't know if I can compare it vs the +recovery version very well. -
Adding my voice to those above. Tohit debuff resistance is SO worth it if you can fit it into your build. I find that it isn't as tough to do (end wise) as you might think, either, though granted, it isn't effortless, by any stretch.

I can see Hess and KHTF not being in the rotation due to the fact that they require unlocks. But, really, do we have to have a respec almost every other week, when there are a slew of other TFs that should be in the rotation? I mean, as has been said, LGTF has been a while, Posi has been ages, and indeed most of the TF Commander series has been the WST comparatively rarely. I have never seen any of the Shadow Shard TFs as the WST (not that I'm too broke over this choice, but once in a great while might be nice rather than a monthly respec). I'd even get behind some of the Ouroborous TFs getting a shot, but I can see why they wouldn't, as these don't require more than one player to run.
But even if they never allow some of these other TFs to ever have a time as the WST, I'd still be in favour of sharply reducing the rate of the respecs in favour of almost any other option.
So tired of the epic boredom of the respec trials. -
Edit: Deleted my original comment. Didn't realize it was a necro-ed thread. Not gonna rehash the dead and buried.

Personally, I don't find the need for Resist Elements and Resist Energies that early. I would want my travel before lvl 49. If you exempt to do any TFs losing your travel might be a pain. I'd swap Super Speed and one of the Resist E powers.
I'll have a closer look a bit later and see if anything else leaps out at me suggestion-wise. -
I'd concur with the suggestion to consider FA over Tactics. Yes, it's more end heavy. But you have Conserve Power.. Second, if you're OK End-wise now with tactics, when you hit 50 and all the incarnate tricks become available there will be a ton of ways to offset the extra cost.
I'd especially consider it if you decide to go with the full set of GSFC, as the full set will bring quite a bit of end reduction.
Just my opinion, but I respecced into FA as I couldn't stand missing due to tohit debuffs and not having any resistance to that type of debuff was a pain. The debuff resistance was very worth he change to me. -
I think Thugs/Traps might be able to get there more easily, but I won't swear to it.

Really depends on the build. If the base build is defensive oriented, and all around solid, and thus needs the incarnate to help more on offense, it might be Judgement. Or maybe Interface.
It's a total case-by-case basis. -
Soul Drain in Mid's is showing a lot of difference for 2 versions of the same power for a Defender.
Red Tomax shows them being a lot more similar (almost identical, but..), but still shows twice the recharge for the Soul Mastery version.
Is this right? If it is right, does this make sense to anyone? Is it WAI?
