Quote:It was 7 PM on Friday and no trials were forming. I waited over an hour to see if one was just going on and nothing. What were the announcements? If you're talking about the "Praetorian invasion" (ala Rikti invasions) I would doubt it...
I've seen a lot of trials still forming up...*shrugs*
The Announcements were from the devs on Thusday. One of them was that we would get new incarnate powers for the slots we had before we got any more slots. So I figured this deflated the incarnate power rush because people wanted to wait to see what happens. -
Anyone have the source for these screen shots please? I have a friend that doesn't seem to believe me.
-
All of a sudden, with out a warning, it has gone from people doing trials for hours on end, sometimes in 2-3 different groups at the same time, to......
nothing..
Was the announcements made Thursday that devastating? -
nvm, I found it now!
OMG!!!!11!!!!1!!! -
We were supposed to have it at 6am EST. It is 6 hours late in 4 minutes.

I completely agree! This is needed and completely possible with the current system.

Quote:If I was the writer here is what I would make the solution to the problem. The Silent's time ship will be destroyed by their actions undoing all the following events in his life, probably because they were using some sort of paradox engine. The cost is that River Song will never live her life with "The Doctor".There's a few things to note from this story:
1) The Doctor is expecting the 'Impossible Astronaut' and ensures that they don't interfere with what happens.
2)200 years of his life are unaccounted for. This means that the Doctor that Rory, Amy and River meet has lived 200 years into the present Doctor's future.
3)The TARDIS someone is building is indeed from the Lodger and the being within it does what The Silent do; they absorb the knowledge and essence of a person and also make them not acknowledge their existence. The Doctor noted that this form of TARDIS was using a perception filter.
4)The Doctor's future self has engineered these events to happen and requires the American ex-FBI to be a part of it.
5) Aren't the spacesuits ever so reminiscent of the Vashta Nerada from when Ten meets River inititally?
The pieces of the puzzle are there, and I think they've been laid ever since the Library episode, really. It could be a temporal loop, or an attempt to get around a temporal loop. And we still don't know what happens on the Moon.
I'm looking forward to the second part of this, but I just know Moffat will have the mid-season cliffhanger be a doozy...I suspect it'll end with the Doctor's death....
S.
On a tangent. If she is married to The Doctor and her last name is Song and she is the child of Rory and Amy then she somewhere changed her last name to Song. So maybe The Doctor's name as they are hinting at has something to do with Song? -
The beautiful part is that they could just use the same animations from the weapon sets, but with the current elemental swords they have for most of these sets.

Quote:As for re-draw, yeah I didn't think of that. However it is energy, not an actual weapon, so the weapon "forming" could be rather fast.Another possible problem is whether or not alternate animations can actually add weapons to non-weapon sets. As i recall, BAB seemed to think he could but that the weapon wouldn't be customizable. He may have meant that he could do the animations and some one else would need to make changes to the code/UI, or that the customization was simply impossible, but that was unclear.
edit: also adding redraw to those sets might pose balance issues.
All that aside, I'd love to see it happen, especially if we could also get mace options for electric.
Going to the weapon/customization problem. Heavy weapons is an example of multiple different weapons in a power set. What they could do is set it so that the animations only use the weapon for specific ones but leave the weapon to be customized as all other normal weapons. The only trick I think would be to set the special effects, if any, to match the colors of the weapon used, but that last hurdle probably doesn't even need to be messed with really. -
Hello everyone.
I have asked for, and have seen asked, in the past for a new melee set for an energy sword. However here is a simpler solution. Since we now are getting the vanguard weapon option open from the start why don't we simply have alternate animations for the various energy type melee sets. I think this would be something in VERY high demand.
Thanks,

Quote:Your comments has regained a little hope I had in the online community.I have a hard enough time coming up with enough costumes to fill the slots we have now, let alone even more slots.
So there's little likelihood I'd ever get much use out of such an addition.. However I can see how this would be a huge boon to much of the player base, so I would totally dig this being added.

Thank you -

Thanks!
I heard that you can tell when the last time they logged on, how do you do that please? -
Well I was thinking, is there any way I could contact the person who is using the character name I am pining over.
I have no clue how to go by this, or even if it is possible, but if they are still active I am willing try and barter with them for the name if they are not using it a lot. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks

The incarnate thread system is idiotic! It does nothing but discurage all the vets I play with. This needless addition has actually stopped my friends, who have been playing for over 6 years, to actually not play the game scene this new system has been implemented. The idea was before I20 came out was that, Hey collecting shards and components must still be good, they obviously would continue their use for the future incarnate slots.
At the same time I was thinking that perhaps something like this would happen, but to be honest I hoped it would not.
We need to stick to one system of incarnate slot components. -
-
I heard that the problem was that the buff and debuff system was actually the same, and coding to be able to remove one with out granting the other was problem-some.

Quote:Selected power customization for other than the base pools has been in high demand for a while! Not sure where the idea came to have super speed cause people feet to glow like crazy, but I'd love a version that didn't have any effects.
I personally would rather use the ninja run animation. -
It runs a line between real and not real incorrectly. The Decoys stay around after the summoner is dead, they can hurt you, but you can't hurt or get rid of it in any way.
If ANY one of these things was changed I would be okay with it. Why should a decoy have the ability to damage you? -
Quote:Hmm... Maybe a bit more like all other blood types in storage are + then -, except say A type blood which is - then +.Trust me, this is not a bug. This is wai. And how is it incongruent? You are able to pick one power or the other when you create a toon. Does it really bother you that much that the 2 powers are in different places? It's like if a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jelly are next to each other and someone put them so it was jelly and peanut butter instead of peanut butter and jelly.

Loved it up to the end.
*SPOILER*
First, loved the Dawn of the Dead reference.
I can't help but feel the bad guy one in the end. I knew the ending was a probable one and was left with a feeling that it was a cheep semi-Jesus story complete with a traitor. I am just so fixated about the ending of the movie, and every time I go back to think about it, I can't help but think at first, naaah it didn't end that way it ended like X, but I am just trying to fool myself because I like the rest of the movie. I seriously have to say the end has probably ruined the movie for me. -
Edit: I don't think you read my post correctly or I am not understanding your point in the slightest.
Quote:I was referring to the lack of individual finger animations in general. That would break the game as it would add too much complexity and would be too hard as every single animation in the game would need to be re-done; but restricting it to the claw weapon animations, rather than the base model would be much easier and do-able.Nope.
*checks Eviscerate's animation*
Yup, it uses an animation that utilizes the back of the claws which makes sense for many of the back-mounted claw options and many of the other claws are all metal so could be explained as being double edged. Finger mounted claws would require an animation that turns the entire arm and wrist around to make the claws face out during the attack.
Of course, they could just *change* the entire animation rather than linking it to only finger-claws, but just saying that doesn't quite *fix* everything.
Yes; all of the weapon animations would need to be re-done. But that is better than the entire game's animations.
Personally I would have rather had a pure melee power set of its own, however people would complain that it was too similar to the current claw power pool. -
Quote:Thanks for the spelling correction, that was just getting me for some reason.I can kind-of-sort-of see the (from NPC perspective) logic of not being "rescued" with a decoy phantasm around. Yes, gameplay wise it's annoying, but I can "get" the NPC going "But that guy's still there!"
What gets ME, though, are hostages that refuse to be rescued until *caltrops* go away. That's just irritating.
Caltrops are horrible.
More than the fact that the decoy is there and you can't get rid of it, but it can hurt you! WTF? Is it not supposed to be real? That is why you can't do anything to it?
