What were the announcements? If you're talking about the "Praetorian invasion" (ala Rikti invasions) I would doubt it...

The Announcements were from the devs on Thusday. One of them was that we would get new incarnate powers for the slots we had before we got any more slots. So I figured this deflated the incarnate power rush because people wanted to wait to see what happens.
And here I thought it was because people hated the lag.

The last patch made the BAF lag on a league of 24 almost unplayable. And there were far less people on Friday night then there has been in awhile. I think you will still see people running trials, but the people I was teaming with this weekend were doing other things to take a break from the trials.

I think it's fair to say that many have gone on vacation - as school is out for summer. At least it is around here. Not to mention a wealth of natural disasters all over the place, (well, it seems that way to me) and coming off of Easter.
Don't panic. There will be plenty of trials once they get this AoE lag issue addressed.

It seems yesterday's maintenance fixed the trial lag issue. I ran multiple BAFs last night and saw other teams running Lambda.

It's the lag. It has become more and more intolerable. The fix on Tuesday only partially fixed the extreme lag and the lag on shipyards and such is worse.

For whatever it's worth, I didn't notice much lag at the MSR tonight.

I have major lag when people start hitting Judgement. Trial or not
Take a break from the trial. Run a Dr. Quarterfield task force in under 3 hours. If you can beat 2:54:13 I'll give you some candy. 122 merits is almost like sitting in the bathroom while space aliens from space obliterate the planet. All you can think about is your sparkly little merits. Oh how cute they are.
